  1. I don't want to ''break'' the fuel pump circuit because i have heard that the thieves first will insist many times cranking the engine and if they don't hear the sound of the pump after the first scale of the ignition key will start searching for a hidden switch. I had the thought that when the car is parked in the street (among others) and after cut-off the ignition the thief can not manage to start the car and since has not the space to push it-engage gear-start it, then he will abandon any try. In the ''how-to'' videos with the remote control system it's easy to ''cut-off'' the negative cable to the pole but if the thief raises the hood then he would easily see the relay.
  2. I have tried to cover all the aspects, simple kill switch, with 2 or 3 functions, with remote control. I am sceptical about the Ampere that this (remote control) relay may consumes in ''stand by mode" and i have found these: In theory but practical so if you move your car after few days (according to him) won't drain your battery.
  3. There is also a Remote Control version of this Kill Switch, here are some examples. I wonder doesn't drain the battery after some days in ON position? How about cutting the power to the Solenoid (and not the batteries negative cable), would be effective too?
  4. Car Truck Ignition Fuse Hidden Cut Out Kill Switch To be honest i don't want to mess with fuses. Cigarette lighter coil wire kill switch Although it's for old style car it's an amazing patent !
  5. Even the Department of Transportation can provide some informations to any one. So it's a few minutes work from them to search for any brand-car and unlock it.
  6. We all have heard about it more or less, in the beginning they put that switch to cut the power to the gas pump but latter they extend it. Nowadays via internet the thieves can get many electronic devices, there are sites and even applications in smartphones to help them so is the Kill Switch ''the last line of Defence" ? How to wire a Kill Switch - theft deterrent
  7. How To Steal And Dodge And Other Cars With Just A Vin Number! He says he can do it for BMW,Mercedes etc. Some trying to protect their car use VIN Cover Example: https://qualityscooterparts.com/-71671.html Although the Police says otherwise. https://www.ksat.com/news/2015/02/18/will-covering-your-vin-keep-thieves-from-stealing-your-car/ Officer Marcus Trujillo with the San Antonio Police Department explains why you don't want to cover it up. "Another common myth that's been circulating around and now through the popularity of social media it seems to have resurfaced again is that operators of vehicles should, as a precautionary measure, cover their VIN on their dashboard to prevent anyone from copying down their VIN number and going to the dealer to get a copy of the key to that vehicle. However, number one, you can't do that unless you prove ownership and show a picture ID when you go to the dealer. Two, blocking your VIN from display is actually against the law. So you need to have your VIN number displayed."
  8. I have seen a unit fixed in one of these threads.
  9. @Papez you mean switches like these? When i bought my Felicia looked like this https://www.polychronou.gr/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/DSC09128.jpg same crappy gear knob and gaiter-hand brake handle-central console etc. Still have those first windows switches, were in green colour with no good feeling when you pressed them.
  10. Still can be found in red colour https://www.soundstreet.gr/products/51585.html also in green (i had them) and white (i have them now), the problem is if you try to find one after few years the answer is ''Out of Stock''. Example here but all of them are 6 pin.
  11. The factory keys from mine don't have button for lock-unlock, only a button which works as a switch for the light (very thin). Never had a key fob from the seller, usually here in GR those days the seller asked you for a free radio-cassette or free alarm system (both were low quality).
  12. Mine is Alex and i have 90A Bosch alternator. The first was damaged and i replace it, the 1st had the regulator exposed and you could see it-work with it easily, the 2nth is not and the car must be raised in a jack.
  13. I also found them in english, now he has no excuses !!!
  14. Oh, was a copy from Haynes manual. I will print the new ones.
  15. I just returned from the electrician, i gave him all i had but he said that has a problem to find from where the main cables are coming. I told him about the relay which is behind the gauge cluster plus i don't want to remove it. He said he will search about it when he find the time, i am not optimistic.
  16. I have printed your image plus the text and tomorrow morning i will give them to my electrician. I already have provided to him the wiring diagram from manual and the switch so the order will be one and simple: "Make it work" !!!
  17. Correction: the above is for windows but maybe can do the jod as this one: https://b.scdn.gr/images/sku_main_images/045376/45376003/20230831133208_diakoptis_parathyron_aytokinitou_universal_991801104.jpeg https://d.scdn.gr/images/sku_images/081695/81695401/20230831133209_d2158899.jpeg Looks good as an alternative solution.
  18. Does any of @Papez @Thefeliciahacker @R_U_AFA or any other fellow Skodian knows if i need a 4 or 5 pin switch? I have seen even one with 6. IF i need 4 only can the job be done with 2 spring buttons (Off-push ON) ? Here is an example: https://static.rapidonline.com/catalogueimages/product/78/15/s78-1570p01wj.jpg
  19. Their maximum margin before the "Boom" this is 2 years. That my concern, i had to find someone reliable so if a problem occur after few years then i will have a guy that i can turn to. Otherwise you know the rest: ''i don't know anything, go to the guy that he made it" etc.
  20. A fellow Skodian told me to make another patent, to install an engine start button, turn the key in the 1st scale and then press the button. I know that Aston Martin had this in older models but i am not so excited with this idea.
  21. @theNFS25 don't forget to buy (together with the thermoswitch) it's washer. It's from permanite so no hot coolalnt leak, it's not a common. I know that some guys have use copper washer.
  22. I have Alex a/c and i have installed MAHLE 80-85 'C thermoswitch with 2 pins. As i bought it had another brand with 2 pins.
  23. Which of them https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/83783-skoda-felicia-headlight-adjustment/?do=findComment&comment=5880098 do you suggest?
