  1. It's in my next plan that flush, i already have bought the additive and distilled water. I want to move to the G12 but take a look my G11 today, at least 25 Km distance at noon, under the hot sun in very hard City traffic situation, i was moving like a taxi but when i finally parked take a look at the gauge. The G12 is going to give me better or at least the same protection against overheating?
  2. @zeka95 first some WD-40, let it soak, wipe the excess and then a heat gun and a hammer like this .
  3. I have found a relative video for Felicia. Take a look at 8:11
  4. For educational purposes: Brake caliper front right hand (14'' wheels, without brake pads & mounting kit) https://www.motomobil.com/en/products/brake-caliper-front-right-hand-14-wheels-without-brake-pads-u-mounting-kit-45241312-2
  5. Sometimes depending on the angle, the sun reflects especially on that chrome square frame of the console. Yes, beauty demands sacrifices.
  6. @Thefeliciahacker you see a lot of cables due to console and ashtray project plus i have installed rear electric windows.
  7. I have tinted windows which reduce a bit the temperature from the sun. Brushed aluminium or chrome knobs are prone to scratches and reflections. I choose this one because had those 2 o-rings which help the grabbing especially in summer (Mountain Roads driving).
  8. This is an old photo from my gear stick (knob changing and a small modification in the part beneath it) How it looks now, many things must removed to work properly.
  9. Some of the signs of a faulty Timing Belt. Same bad signs as for 1.3 which has a Pulley Belt (and Timing Chain). 5 years for the Timing Belt too.
  10. @Mustafa_Samir : I presume your engine starts nornally and has not symptoms of luck of power, since you don't see any wear signs and you hear no noise (as we with the Pulley Belt) you are not in danger. As a precution in the next service or engine repair install a new one Timing Belt and you would be OK.
  11. IF i do the project it would be with a used one, not the factory. I did the same with air filter box, kept as original the one and modify the other. I don't want to shorten the A part, i can not drive with a gear stick like this because my console is lower than this MX-5 and every time i have to bend so my hand can reach it.
  12. Not for me, i have already installed and aftermarket knob which had 3 plastic cones as accessories to fit it properly. Now the height is as it should be, in M3 or MX-5 a factory short gear shift it suits, not in my case. GR is not USA where everyone can sue anybody and ask for compensation. Many years ago an American cigar smoker sued a cigar manufacturer because one night fell asleep in his couch with the cigar in his hand and later put the blame for the fire on the cigar company.
  13. Here as is in the manual, high resolution photo which don't fit in a post so i put a link. https://img.7zap.com/images/oem/vag3/SK/Bilder/101/101711000.TIF.png Shortening the A is not an option, making bigger the B is but i have to find an electro welder to take the responsibility. Even so, how much length? 2-4-6cm longer?
  14. Haynes does not say anything but i have found something useful in the manual.
  15. Yes but it's not mandatory, mine lasted about 7 years. If yours is in good condition keep it another year at least.
  16. That's a good brand. Yes, that is what Skoda suggests, me i believe in personal test mainly (sound, cracks).
  17. If i rememeber correct Skoda says for Pulley belt (Poly-V) in 5 years. Buy a quality one, not a 6-7 euro VIKA.
  18. Turn the belt with your hand, if there are no cracks leave it. Pay attention to the noise, in videos they mention it as ''squeaking noise'', do you hear something like this?
  19. Due to high temperatures here i don't use the car often (i take my small motorcycle) but for the test purposes i will do at least 50-60 km distance to see the affect in Fuel Consumption at City Traffic. As always i will post photos no matter the result.
  20. Different approach, first the coolant out and later the radiator flush additive with water.
  21. If there was something negative i would post it, i have a spare air filter box so if things could turn otherwise i would install it and everything would be as ''stock" but now i see improvement even in Fuel Consumption in hard City Traffic. As for the cutting on that cover, i don't regret it, i didn't like it from the beginning and when @Papez show me the pictures i took my decision.
  22. Here are 2 photos from inside the expansion tank, isn't compleately clear. I want to do a 2 stage flush, first with a 80% of a radiator cleaner (as Liqui Moly or Wynn's) and the existing coolant BUT then another one with the 20% remains and tap water. I wonder it's absolutely necessary for the radiator cleaner to work ONLY with coolant? That 2 stage task won't clean the whole system better?
  23. Don't jump to conclusions, obviously you don't know by close any Greek. On the other hand i meet British from 1975 (all seasons) as residents, i know many things about your cook-code dress-behaviour-way of speaking etc. We have things that you have not and you have things that we have not, don't start the criticism because you will hear unpleasant things, the days of Colonialism are over and if you think that we don't know how to drive then are these with those supercars know? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11480883/Albanians-flash-cars-grind-central-London-standstill-toast-Independence-Day-home.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-2826869/Video-Moment-Albanian-Lamborghini-grinds-central-London-standstill.html Does these (which till last year didn't even had even a their own donkey back home) know how to drive and have taken lesson in your AD schools? ________________________________ returning back to the point, as for the quick shifter: Here is the Felicia mechanism. i have installed some years back that kit because was a bit loose, not any other oprion except VIKA.
  24. We have but as i said the tracks are far away from many drivers home and costs a lot, we also have courses for drivers as Bodyguards, Cart, Rally (WRC). If you are young and your father has money you can learn many things. GR is not USA with many tracks
  25. Except the work inside the air filter box i reinstall a hose which brings air from the grill inside, so what are the results from that increased amount of air in the throttle? Gold start: The sound of the motor (idle) is covered a bit from the air filter box noise, we all have heard that deep ''Moooa" of some exaggerations in air filters (extra holes or cut big pieces from the bottom of the plastic box etc), well this exists now but it's not loud and does not bother me, has one click more ''bass" than normal and it's pleasant. 1st gear and go on: the car is one click smoother especially at night when i am on a basement of underground parking and making circles to reach the exit. In the past i though that someone was ''pushing'' me a bit and was annoying. Drop of the needle: when i am in 2nd or even 3rd and i had to stop while pressing the brake pedal and engage neutral for the last meters the movement of the needle is smoother, it's not abrupt. The car does decelerate quieter, more softly, before the sound was different and i had the thought like someone suddenly ''brake'' the engine, the feeling that we have when the throttle is dirty or we are about to run of gas. Remind me back in the car carburettor days or still today the feeling with my small carburettor motorcycle, my throttle isn't dirty but every time (for example a sudden traffic light) that feeling and sound of that ''cut'' was unpleasant. Acceleration middle rpm: one click better, more smooth although in 3rd gear if the rpm dropped (uphill) to 2000 i hear the sound of the engine more ''Moooing" so i downshift to 2nd or take that small uphill all the way with 2nd and not 3rd. I will pay attention to this in the future. Acceleration high rpm: far better than before, no problem at all, i reached the 140 with 4th and i could go more but there was no reason and i don't like speed traffic tickets. Ok with the 5th too, no problem in Highway. Fuel Consumption: Dropped even in City Traffic, soon photos as proof. I am not an engineer or a scientist but in my car (ECU chip, custom exhaust, gauze air filter) that patent worked. Keep in mind that i have tested paper filters, another brand gauze filter, 2 kinds of POD filters, factory air box with or without the inner flap and so far that combination works, if i had a problem i would mention and accept it in public but as is now it's an all around Winner.
