I'd say the foreground is better lit and the throw against the shutter door is definitely brighter. Difficult to judge but looks better to me.

I've had it a couple of times. Always shortly after start up, never once the engine is warm

Would you pay £39K...........
Devonshiredave replied to Auric Goldfinger's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I (hopefully) won't have to worry about residual values for a long time. I should be keeping mine 10-15 years. I think I'd keep it even if I won the lotto this week, -
Full spare wheel set up for S2 SE Superb. Alloy has some light kerbing but in otherwise excellent condition. Tyre appears as new with full or near full tread. Genuine Skoda wheel insert with Jack and wheel brace. Ideal upgrade from the repair kit option. £50 ono. Collection from Brackley, Northants. Pm me if interested.

An added bonus of ACC

Think I should RTFM. Is adaptive lane assist a standard feature on the L&K? -
Yawn

From your photo, the lane lines seem to be orange? Only ever seen mine displayed in white. Is it switchable? -
190 bhp AdBlue Range
Devonshiredave replied to GuzziDibble's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I'm coming up to or just tripped 1700 miles and my adblue is showing 6500 miles. Showed 7000 on collection with 100 miles on the clock (pre reg'd). I'm using Millers Ecomax diesel additive. Wondering if that is helping reduce emissions sufficiently to reduce the adblue needed? Going to keep an eye on this. -

And now you wouldn't have anything else -
Night breaker unlimited seem pretty good but eye watering price.

AFAIK the higher up the colour temp range you go, the lower the lumen output or so I've read. Anyone had any experience of the Morimoto XB bulbs. The hype seems a little to good to be true.

Cheers Fuzzz. Duely noted. Look forward to the report.

I watched a video on You Tube at changing a Xenon bulb. Didn't look too tricky but it was on an Insignia. Just have to be damn careful not to knock the igniter on the way in. Not sure on clearances around the headlamp units on the S3. Might have a nosey in the morning as I'm considering an upgrade to the Philips Xtreme vision or whatever they're called. I fancy the 4800k colour temp. Nice white light. The S3 Xenons appear more yellow at around 4350k?

True. I sympathise with non cat lovers but am a cat owner. My boys are indoor fellas. Had moggy marks on my car too. Miffed, but not much you can do as its usually in the wee hours. I'd rather have a cat on the bonnet than a dog though. Or a cow, that would be something to complain about.

Real World MPG figures
Devonshiredave replied to Simon-R's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I guess it's all relative. Depends on what you have driven and are driving. I have a 190 DSG and find it pretty rapid. I owned a 140 S2 manual prior to the S3 so for me it's a pretty quick motor. It doesn't climb lamp posts, but it's more than adequate. -
I configured one to the same spec (near as I could) to my 190 DSG L&K. Topped the scales at £44450. Couldn't justify that sort of expenditure. I found it looked too dull. Just, uninteresting and uninspiring. It's probably an excellent car but it didn't excite me. The S3 on the other hand is serious eye candy in my opinion. And a shed load of cash less. Easy decision for me.

Got mine set as Cool White, Blue and Red. Wish I had VCDS so I could tweak them when I fancied a change but it does look rather complex.

Touch up recommendation for petrol blue
Devonshiredave replied to PinkyAtAcme's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I got my local body shop supplier to mix up a base coat with separate clear coat. Cost about £12 I think. It's a perfect match. I tend to use a very fine brush. Almost dry brush the colour in, allow it to start going off and then load a bit of clear coat over it. Done carefully, it blends so well it's pretty much invisible. -
Mine actually told me to clean my windscreen yesterday and then continued to display the correct limit. Cheeky beggar!

Has anyone else had their TSR system display a rouge speed limit? Mine has twice displayed 100 mph sign. Once on a bit of the A5 on a 70 limit and tonight in a 30. Wondered if it was more widespread or unique to my car?

The Octavia 3 left hand MFSW button set includes the mode option button for the infotainment system and works on my L&K. Replaces the voice command button which I doubt I'll use. Quite a useful addition. -
Saw a couple more today. White Combi on the A421 near Buckingham and a Silver hatch in Milton Keynes.

Very nice. Shame the dealer experience was so poor. Lovely car Svend. -
Hi Radjan Welcome to the forum. Good call on the Superb. I'd agree with Eurotraveller. I have virtual pedal but not found reason to use it yet. DCC is a nice option. Distinct difference between Sport and Comfort mode in ride. Sport mode isn't too harsh. Not sure on the Sport option suspension but the Combi would look sweet lower. Maybe the Sport option for the 280? Blind spot assist is useful. Lane assist I have turned off. It works well but I don't often use multi lane roads so don't see the point of having it on. The sunroof is a nice feature and floods the cabin with light. I think that is worth considering. KESSY is great (as its new to me). Very novel touching the door handle to lock an unlock. Let us know how you get on.
