  1. You'll be doing your kid a lot more good in the long run if you stop polluting the atmosphere with exhaust emissions just so she can get a nap now. And if she gets so used to only napping whilst the car engine is running, you're potentially storing up trouble for yourself later on.
  2. It's also smaller, and doesn't have 7 seats - all depends on what you want from a car. 150PS on my current Kodiaq has never been a problem... even fully loaded on the ups and downs of the A75 through the Massif Central. Gone for a VRS this time around because it looks nice, still has 7 seats, and is a very spacious car. Failing to see a reason why it needs any more than 245PS to be honest - pretty sure that will be enough for a hoot and a half on the roads around here on the rare occasion I'm not just ferrying the kids and their friends around.
  3. Sounds like a fair result... as long as you get a warranty on the work, and the work doesn't invalidate the Skoda warranty. Might want to double-check that with the dealer...
  4. Got it on the current Kodiaq... use it loads in the first few months, but as soon as I got used to the size/shape, I very rarely use anything but the rear camera now. Decided to put the cost of it towards a tow bar instead on the new one as lifting bikes onto the roof is too much of a PITA (and the rest of my back!).
  5. Heard from dealer today... apparently it is being built 2nd week in September, so I should have it early October. Seems too good to be true!

  7. I love how he keeps comparing it to the Macan... know which one I'd rather have, but as I can't afford a Macan GTS I'll make do with one of these when it turns up .
  8. I know this isn’t a fix… but I was looking in the manual at the Travel Assist as I’ve ordered it for my new Kodiaq and apparently you can turn some of the ‘cleverness’ off in the settings - both the use of speed signs to set speed and the use of nav data (bends, roundabouts, etc). It’s these things that make it the Predictive ACC instead of the normal ACC. Just thought I’d point this out in case you didn’t realise as it could make life a bit less stressful until the issues are fixed. Really hoping mine doesn’t have them now 🙄.
  9. I actually went to the garage and had a test drive in an Enyaq… but there’s very little if any discount to had on them yet, and I’m still not sure about the idea of an electric car as our main family car. It was, however, very nice and I was tempted by one… but I’d want a SportLine and that was crazy money on the repayments compared to the Kodiaq VRS (which was a similar list by the time I was done on the options list for each!). So, now I just have to sit back and try to be patient for a few months… 😵
  10. For what it’s worth - dealers still have discounts to offer on top of that £2750 deposit contribution… new car sales are still slower than they should be, and they’re more willing to give you a good p/x deal because they know they can shift the old one on at a profit, even after giving you a good price. I’ve just ordered a new Kodiaq… yes, I’m going to be paying a bit more than I was every month, but then I’ve gone Edition > VRS. I was really quite surprised at how low I could get the figures down to, even though the list price of the new one is around £16k more than my current one.
  11. Hello all… it’s been a while, but I’ve been lurking around reading posts on and off… Anyway, decided that the used value on my bear was too good an opportunity, and have extracted a pretty decent deal from my local dealer (just about as good as DTD, p/x included) - so have just placed an order for my second Kodiaq. Has anyone ordered a face-lift Kodiaq and got a build date? The most accurate I could get from the dealer was ‘some time this year’ - but as they are guaranteeing the p/x value, I don’t care as long as it turns up before the PCP on my current bear runs out next March. Oh, and in case anyone cares… I’m going from an Edition to a VRS 😎.
