  1. In 3.5 years of owning a 1.4TSI 150 DSG Edition, I loved it and didn't have any significant problems at all. I did about 30,000 miles in it, and it probably averaged 40mpg or thereabouts, which isn't bad considering most of the journeys were short ones. It would easily do >50mpg on long motorway runs at 65mph. I'd buy another one. Oh, wait... I did 😁.
  2. I do. Thanks - really don’t see how they would fit and stay put… but I will undoubtedly invest in a set at some point.
  3. Yeah, they ran out of red thread due to the semiconductor shortage. Can't say it would have bothered me all that much - but it does look a bit odd when you have all the red thread on the seats and dash etc.
  4. Same thing, no? 🤣
  5. For what it's worth... anyone who is ordering a new Kodiaq (or other car that has the option) and wants to use a dash cam really should get the USB-C socket in the mirror housing. It's charge only, ignition switched, and solves all these issues and more in one go. Can't recommend it enough. Now they just need to provide a similar socket at the top of the tailgate for rear cameras...
  6. Yes, they're prioritising those who ordered the optional helicopter landing pad. Did you not tick that option...?
  7. All the iPhones since the iPhone 8 support wireless charging using the Qi standard... which is what the charger in the Kodiaq uses as well. Now I think about it, however... there was an option to turn the wireless charging on or off in my old Kodiaq - but I don't think there is in the new one (I haven't really looked). How old/new is the loan car you have? Is it a facelift version or 'old' style?
  8. Try moving it around a bit on the mat - I find my 11 Pro charges when the bottom is sat against the nearest edge, but if it slides forward (which it often does) and the top ends up against the far edge, it's then hit and miss as to whether it continues to charge or I get a 'cannot charge' message on the infotainment. I can imagine a smaller iPhone 8 is going to be even more hit and miss...
  9. I’d love to see your evidence for this. I’m not saying there might not be some truth to it, especially as it appears Enyaq orders were prioritised over the last few months (all anecdotal evidence, but I’ve heard from various sources - from dealers to people who have placed orders and are seeing more progress than people in this thread). Unfortunately, the rest of your post makes you sound like a conspiracy theorist with an axe to grind against VAG. We all know they cheated on emissions tests, but they weren’t alone. And every public listed company in existence tries to minimise (sorry, optimise) their tax liability and maximise returns to shareholders. It’s what happens in a capitalist economy.
  10. That's because they definitely are.
  11. Pretty sure they're one piece. Will take another look just in case, but I'm not convinced.
  12. Are you on about this picture? I have no idea what they are, but they're not the wheels fitted to my car. However, the video on the page does show the correct wheels without the trims and with centre caps... Stop being a tease and share with us...! 😁
  13. No lining / carpet in the driver's cubby or in the lower glovebox on my new bear. The top glovebox does still have the rubber base though. I prefer to think of it as reducing weight in my sporty* car 😂. But then as I don't really keep anything much in the gloveboxes anyway, it doesn't bother me.
  14. In the UK? As @Kenny R says above, the only option in the UK is the Sagitarius wheels.
  15. I am beginning to wonder if this is why mine turned up so quickly... I have none of those. Good luck to anyone who has ordered an L&K - they're all standard kit!
  16. Won't help - they have short 'prongs' too from all the pictures I can find. There definitely seems to be something different about these wheels compared to other Skoda (or VAG) wheels.
  17. My guess is that the Kodiaq that has been in an accident (and presumably written off and now being sold for parts) isn't his... and he has bought the seats for his Karoq.
  18. In a word, no. But then I haven't really tried... I did consider putting the aero covers back on - but I've decided I really like the look of the wheels without. It had occurred to me that I could cut the middles out of the aero covers, but that would effectively destroy them and I'm not prepared to do that.
  19. You're not the only one... I tend to use CarPlay for everything, so see no point in paying for Connect. I just wish you could display maps from CarPlay (not just directions) on the virtual cockpit. And no, I don't believe it's possible for the car to lock itself with a key inside - the only scenario I know of when the car locks itself is if you unlock it, but then don't open a door. For the key to get inside, you'd have to open a door, at which point it doesn't lock itself even if you shut the door again.
  20. For what it's worth, OTA map updates are listed as part of the Infotainment Online package... so I guess no updates (OTA, at least) if you don't pay after the first year.
  21. Mine has 21.9, and software 03something. It did an OTA update about a week or so ago (told me there was an update, I didn't check), but no idea what version it was running before that.
  22. The UK brochure for the facelift version is, of course, completely contradictory... pages about the models suggest the 'sport' view is only on the VRS (might be on the SportLine as well, but the virtual cockpit isn't standard anyway) and not the L&K: However, the options page later on suggests that if you add the VC as an option, you get all 5 views, but with an additional Sports design on the SportLine (whatever that is!). Virtual cockpit including 10.25" Digital display which replaces the traditional instrument dials. Can be customised with 5 views (Classic, Basic, Extended, Modern and Sport), with an additional Sports design for SportLine trim.
  23. They'll have nicked it out the compound when it came off the boat... pity the poor person that's not getting their order 🤣. As I said, I'm only going off what myself and others have been told. If that's not the case, then fair enough - anyone who wants a VRS can bag a relative bargain (getting any sort of discount seems like a bonus right now, and not having to wait as well...). EDIT - certainly better value than the Sportline with 4k miles on the clock that Skoda Guildford are trying to flog for a quid under £50k!
  24. If I were you, I'd be asking about how they came by this one and why it's up for sale... what exactly is wrong with the stitching, anyway? It's just really odd that they happen to have a VRS sitting around the dealership, when others on here (not just me) have been told that dealers can't order them for demo/stock. Something doesn't add up, and while I hope it is just paranoia and you get the car sooner rather than later, you really don't want to end up with something if there are problems the dealer is keeping quiet on... or there's some history to the car they won't tell you.
