If your headunit supports remotes - then you'll likely need a harness from the likes of connects2 or something. I had some trouble with mine as due to it being a later model - I had to get a newer harness installed by a professional since they didn't have a version specific for my vehicle.

Welcome to the forums. That's a FL so make sure your cam chain tensioner (and associated bits e.g. chains, guides) have been replaced in the last few years with the updated revision It's pricey, but a new car more so.

I personally found my mk2 costing an arm and a leg compared to my mk1. I am hating myself for ditching the mk1 as all the money spent could've gotten me a nice mk3!

Sure it's not that bad? What happened to it? Edit: fixed the toolbar position but not a fan of single column for tabs, much preferred the dual column layout. Haven't checked performance whilst browsing yet.

@Solly I know how you feel. My mk2 has cost so much more than the mk1 to look after. So much stuff as gone wrong and I deeply regret ditching my mk1!

Had a neighbour hydrolock his sharan when he tried cleaning it too. I took my dad's off and put a new gasket on (ordered 2 when I did mine). Cut open a 4L milk carton, and cleaned in there to capture all the petrol/carb cleaner. Big chunks of tar off the EGR and the MPG was SO much better.

I still have my mk1 fabia (1.2 petrol) and sorely miss my 1.9tdi octavia. Brilliant engines.

Octavia vrs mk2 fl tsi (2010). Driving along I got the ABS, ESP and TPMS lights up at once :( Scanned and saw the below (VCDS autoscan error sections below). I had a look around and apparently the teves ABS pumps are known to fail. Would mine be impacted or would it just be the sensor/ring? If it is the sensor/ring - am I correct in understanding that: - the hub and bearing need replacement? - the sensor would need replacement too? Hi, so I've got a 2010 VRS (petrol) with misfire issues (engine code CCZA). Breakdown: I've checked engine blocks whilst driving. Cyl 2 misfires under gentle accelleration when cold (as in - engine not at operating temp). NO EML I've swapped 2 and 3 coilpacks - still misfiring cyl 2 as above. New spark plugs were fitted a while back by an indie, but original coilpacks An injector (not sure which one) had a new seal applied to it whilst at the indie for my chain/turbo issues. Have been told compression looks fine on all cyclinders by above indie I've fitted new coilpacks (r8s) but the problem still persists. VCDS scan showed below error around evap.
