  1. I’ve ran both , both are really good plugs but the denso ones don’t run well in winter (for me) as was getting emissions light when boosting when the air coming in was freezing cold for some reason also all the people running remaps run the ngk plugs with the R8 coil packs
  2. https://www.gsparkplug.com/1x-ngk-iridium-ix-spark-plug-bkr7eix-2667.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiM3tqY7H7gIVKe_tCh1lgQ2LEAQYASABEgKhifD_BwE
  3. I agree with this comment but a van should have easily enough cranking amperage for a petrol car as it takes considerably more to crank a diesel than a petrol and the op said he used a van
  4. Someone on here has made a thread of how to fix the common problem with that actuator and it’s relatively cheap and saves a full turbo replacement, I take it, it’s a 1.2 tsi ?
  5. Was just going to comment what sepulchrave has , deffo immobiliser related could of forgot code for key there is videos of how to fix that issue
  6. As I had the same thing with my car “misfire on cylinder three” and the wiring to the coil packs was corroded and causing an issue what I did was changed cylinder two coil packs to cylinder three along with the wiring from cylinder two and the fault changed to cylinder two so I realised this to be at fault
  7. I doubt they even did a compression check as you don’t get a low compression error in Vcds you get a misfire fault code , did they check the coil packs ?
  8. I’m saying %90 of the engine posts on here where there engine have gone bye bye is spark plug \ coil pack related which is preventable by better spark / better burn it’s simple science don’t try and advocate stuff that is proven just to try and make yourself look better because your a tight ar*e who doesn’t want to pay £200 to solve a problem that is known
  9. £200 or .... how much are Skoda approved garages charging for a engine + fitting 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. https://r-tmg.co.uk/product/rtmg-r8-coils-r8-adapter-ea111-1-4tsi Wouldn’t class it as a modification would class it as essential maintenance for longevity of engine as standard coil packs can cause big problems IMO
  11. Hi mate recommend the NGK SPARK PLUG BKR7EIX if you also want to upgrade the coil packs you can get an Audi R8 coil pack conversion kit this allows you to use the plugs without the need for gapping them 👍
  12. You know what I wouldn’t rule this engine out , could well be coil pack related or the wiring to the coil packs they are notoriously bad the wiring on these cars
  13. 205/45/r17 bro, feels a lot less of a bumpy ride
  14. It’s plainly obvious your just a chancer who is jealous because I’ve probably spent a tenth of what you have on my 1.4 fabia and it would absolutely demolish you on the drag strip 😅😂😅😂😅😂 and its engine wouldn’t blow up in the process because I have put failsafes in place something you would know nothing about as you got your little 1.6 remapped asking dark side to push every little BHP out of it you possible could and blew the old girl up on the way home what a joker stick to your own thread and F off and worry about your own car 🚗
  15. Mate are you joking ? You have no idea of anything , you pay everyone else to do anything on your car can’t do anything for yourself slap it full of rubbish stickers and act like it’s a race car it goes through clutches every other week, and FYI those boost controllers don’t measure absolute boost pressure as mine is running 1 bar absolute + 1.7 bar boost so stick that up your pipe and smoke it and the greddy will boost over 2 bar, I’ve done everything on my car other than the remap , who did your engine swap yourself??? or did you pay dark side to do it because you don’t have the capability to do it yourself.
  16. Mate stop acting like your some sort of track hero you have a half decent diesel fabia you blew your first engine and I don’t know where dark side developments start and you finish your that far up there ar*e
  17. Happy New Year’s Eve guys and girls , not much has changed on the fabia recently due to Covid-19 but a few minor adjustments have been made , I’ve put a more track focused tyre on the front axle as I had a wheel alignment issue that was ripping the rain sport apart on the inside of the tyre so I now have rainsports on the back and a bigger profile tire on the front to help with wheel spin and traction these tyres will soon boom I think as they are unreal! This followed by a wheel alignment and I’m now putting the power down like no ones business ive also purchased a boost by gear add on to my boost controller and a obd converter which converts the obd signal to rpm speed etc so I don’t have to tap into any of the on board sensors and will be getting live can data! here’s to a better 2021 and a good few track days on the horizon!
  18. Had the same problem with my VW caddy 1.6 tdi as mick said was the master cylinder in the foot well and my clutch pedal was stuck to the floor also
  19. that’s the one on the back there mate the big one just screws off new one screws on
  20. Hi Chris if it’s the one I think your mentioning it’s at the back of the engine on the top next to the air filter and is a bolt on bolt off part should be an easy jobby to tackle yourself
  21. Hey guys , as per topic title recommendations/ anyone got any for sale kind regards tom
  22. Have a read of this chaps and tell me what you think as you can program the software to tell it what signal it’s reading http://www.greddy.com/upload/file/15500215_ProfecMAP_Inst.pdf
