  1. That’s because Crail looks like a dirt road in Thailand 😂🤣 , try coming to Santa pod they need some cannon fodder for all the lower power standard Golf R’s and Audi s3’s that probably cost a fraction of that car of yours or even better go against a tuned mk1 fabia pd130 that would absolutely destroy you and they cost peanuts 🥜 as for not ready for the events you can’t rush perfection 😘
  2. Haha petty insults because you can’t actually justify why you have to have sly digs, I’m more motorsport than you son I’ve totally built my car you send yours down to dark side with an open cheque book I bet they rub there hands together when that white shed on wheels turns up ….
  3. Mate I’m not being funny I’ve watched those vids and everyone of those cars your against bogs down and struggles for traction so it’s not really a big win is it , I just don’t understand why you always try to have a dig at the mk2 vrs are you jealous or something ? To date you’ve blown up one engine destroyed a gearbox and smelted the piston in your “trackslayer” so how’s about you stay in your own lane … are you jealous that you bought a diesel Monte Carlo instead of the vrs 😂🤣😂🤣
  4. At least the fabia vrs mk2’s don’t melt pistons on high boost 😂🤣
  5. You could get a Maxton design front spoiler they are considerable cheaper
  6. The dq200 is made of chocolate the money would be better spent elsewhere like swapping from a dq200 to a dq250 I’m running a dq250 with an LSD in my fabia vrs as I was having the exact same issues as you say just spinning up at the lights etc, are you sure you are running the correct spec tyres on the front not some cheap compound tyres
  7. Looks good mate , I take it they have increased the piston ring gap on all four pistons now , that looks like the ring pinching together and cracking the piston same as the TSI engines suffer with?
  8. How much do you want for it ?
  9. Hi check that the fuses haven’t blown for the water pump under the dash or they haven’t plugged the connector in correctly
  10. Hi mate it could be a multitude of things with the 1.4 tsi vrs but I would start looking at when the spark plugs where replaced and pulling them and checking there condition also worth checking the coil packs if not you could have more serious Problems like piston/valves on the way out , be worth scanning for fault codes and posting them here so we can assist further
  11. It’s as if someone said replace them all while you have the sump off and someone berated them for saying it
  12. Looks very similar to OEM in diameter I don’t think it would make a performance gain in honesty just an aesthetical gain
  13. Why not replace all bearings and bolts while you have the sump off and oil drained it makes sense as it would do another 100,000 miles no problems
  14. Also those spark plugs from euros are not right you want these that’s probably why your car isn’t working correctly
  15. No problem John just to let you know mate I have four unfitted uprated spark plugs gapped at 0.6mm that I was gonna fit at my next service if you need to try anything different you can just give me what I paid for them from OPIE oils (it was a damn site cheaper than what you paid from those stealers)
  16. I’m in West Yorkshire John if you wanna swing by and I have a look for you ? I’m in mossley
  17. I personally don’t like the 1.2 12v have a tendency to jump timing and the timing can jump if you roll back in gear with engine off
  18. Check that the oem dump valve (recirculation valve) wiring is ok and it’s actually working you might be getting pressure surge because of that, also check the turbo wastegate is working and not holding boost so your getting more psi than you should I think it’s controlled by an electronic solonoid the wastegate
  19. Most specialists will replace the dual mass flywheel while doing the clutch packs as the gearbox is adapted to each car and using an old dual mass flywheel can create issues as they shim the clutch packs to a tolerance , having seen a few of these dq200’s fixed a good method is to remove the inspection port for the gear selector folks and clean them off (they get covered in metal filings and that stops them selecting gears , some people will charge to replace clutch packs when this is all that is needed in reality
  20. You could do the job yourself in honesty if time is an issue @Mickmartindid it on his drive, also the coolant pump is not on the timing chain its driven by the crankshaft pulley so I would drive it till need be just would monitor coolant loss /temp
  21. I would start checking ground wires myself and checking that the connections to the battery are tight
  22. Hi rio sorry to hear about that pal , I say work on it I have taken this engine apart and it’s quite easy to work on in honesty and I can help with any advice you need and help you get the thing reliable again with a few simple modifications, if you are near to Manchester I’m quite happy to give you a hand diagnosing the cause of your low compression
  23. Hi mate sorry to hear about your problems , sounds like your piston rings might have give up the ghost or there is some scoring on the bore in cylinder 3 and or a burnt/broken valve) was the car towed with the Dsg in gear or was it allowed to roll back in gear (engine off) as this can make the chain skip a tooth and jump out of time
  24. Just buy a universal one off of eBay same size as this https://rtmgperformance.com/collections/intercoolers/products/rtmg-universal-aluminum-front-mount-intercooler for £100 with better flow … as that what you have listed is essentially a universal intercooler cut in half
  25. I highly doubt Without taking sump off that you can diagnose a broken crankshaft, a spun bottom end would cause the engine not to start , a faulty injector would cause diesel knock like J.R. States also a jumped tooth out of time would cause a engine to run like garbage, also not blowing V.W trumpet but the crankshaft is probably one of the strongest parts of the engine I have never ever seen a crankshaft problem on a vw engine especially a diesel which are a hell of a lot stronger
