  1. A good thing to do would be to get a oil catch can fitted then you can see how much your crankcase is getting pressurised etc and how much your pcv valve is sending oil into the intake manifold
  2. We all know it’s the Kolbenschimt uprated pistons and rings that sorted out the oil consumption issues that the cthe engine comes with as standard
  3. No argument from me here , just asking how an engine can burn oil if oil is not getting passed the compression rings & oil control ring ?
  4. In fairness though an oil jet should have no bearing on oil consumption if the oil control rings and compression rings are doing there job correctly and the bores have the correct cross hatching on them
  5. Hi in regards to the spark plugs I did like how the denso spark plugs behaved in my engine , but longevity wise the NGK BKR7EI last longer the spark plug you listed I would not run. As for using oil that’s a lot of oil consumption are you sure it’s a CTHE engine ? Any smoke while driving ? Maybe it’s a turbo oil seal or something as apposed to a oil drinker
  6. I would be trolling Facebook market place etc
  7. Where are you based happy to take a look , what fault codes come up when scanned
  8. Injectors usually fail on the 1.6 tdi , can only really be fuel pump or injector related for me , what fault codes come up ?
  9. I would bore scope it first before doing anything rash , I do find it hard to believe nothing has been with the injectors if you dropped / burnt out some valves , it’s pretty obvious your running too lean and burning up cylinders to me personally but that’s just my opinion ,
  10. Would suggest head gasket if low compression across two cylinders that are next to each other , also check for engine being out of time, wonder if engine builder took into account piston to valve clearance and compression ratio alterations when rebuilding if the head has been skimmed
  11. All could be linked to a dodgy battery apart from the wheel bearing , the battery might be on its way out , that does indeed look like a boost control solonoid
  12. They are not that hard to do yourself if you want to save money , if not any smaller independent should be good ?
  13. Can you add a photo of the solonoid bud ? Could be egr related
  14. Most cars post 2000 have an oil pressure sensor I would find it hard to believe the 1.4 twincharger doesn’t have one
  15. You feel like your robbing them it’s that cheap isn’t it John 😂😂😂
  16. I wouldn’t worry about the gearbox , they all break eventually anyway , the clutches are made from Jacobs crackers lol 😂
  17. It might not be your alternator at fault it might be the pulley on the front of it , what are your symptoms ?
  18. Lancs transmission bury did all my dq200 work and are priced good
  19. What colour is the dump valve will happily take it off your hands lol any other goodies on it , I have a recirc valve I’ll happily swap you for your dump valve
  20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314553576846?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=z6qpdkjnqge&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=vB4oy_wsSh6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY recirc valve , you’ll need to block off the silicone hose from back of engine that goes to the aftermarket dump valve
