  1. Crazy taking the car to a main dealer for a simple fault code that’s not even been read yet , I hope you have a second mortgage for the prices these ripping gits charge especially with everything you are highlighting you want them to do easily over 2-3K at there prices
  2. Can’t see a problem with that , it looks like a good idea 👍
  3. Can you not crack off slightly each injector nut until the air bleeds out of the system like you do with old diesel engines
  4. Evening guys and girls Just a warning for the Bosch alternator that is on the fabia vrs and other fabia models , it has a pulley that drives it that has an overrun feature, this pulley on my car has done the opposite of seizing up it now freely spins each way while barely spinning the internal stator … causing the alternator to not charge the battery this has in turn had me changing the voltage regulator and diode bridge rectifier on the rear to try and solve my problem as I had checked the ohm readings on each coil and each where working fine , so please be wary as alternators are not cheap now and this is a very simple fix that with the right tools And parts can be done for less than £40 kind regards thomas aspin
  5. The pedal does have a position sensor on it but so does the throttle body which is on the engine you can pick the throttle bodies up second hand relatively cheap on eBay if it isn’t the pedal that is at fault if you get the part number off it I will be able to check on eBay what the going rate is on them

  7. Steve good shout mate , please don’t jump to any conclusions until checking the wiring going into the pedal
  8. Classic , this coming from the guy who got beat in every class he competed in but I’m the loser for not turning up to be cannon fodder 🤷🏻‍♂️ as for FWD class your probably right being as though any k20 Honda civic could probably turn up with over 600HP with minimal supporting mods and weigh about as much as a bean can.
  9. Yea you paying £275 entry and a ton of diesel is loads of fun when you haven’t even got a car to compete with the big boys? Why would I turn up in a stage 3 Skoda fabia vrs running a mere 380 bhp when there are people turning up with 1000 bhp plus American muscle cars who will easily win the £1000 jackpot price
  10. Would be interesting to know how many diesel cars actually turned up, as 2nd in diesel class isn’t that impressive if only a handful of diesels turned up …
  11. The 1.2 tsi’s are renowned for turbo actuator failures causing epc issues , as for pedal circuit too low you could have a faulty pedal which again would cause jerky motion etc
  12. With hardware you can clone the mechatronics they sell all the required hardware on AliExpress etc
  13. Millers do good gearbox fluid for the Dsg gearbox that’s what I use anyway but it would help if we knew wether it was a dq200 or dq250 👍
  14. When compression testing did you keep all spark plugs in and take one spark plug out at a time and compression test
  15. Check the coilpack wiring are you just getting a missfire on one cylinder ? Also did you pull the fuel pump fuse when compression testing
  16. Hi mate yes you would need to get a map that makes full use of the additional forced induction a hybrid turbo can create , I suggest checking out RTMG performance for hybrid turbos as I’m pretty sure they do a bolt on hybrid & BOV for the 1.2 tsi engine
  17. Your insurance wouldn’t be invalidated if someone hit into you and it was there fault it’s if you have a serious collision that is your fault , the insurance investigators pull the ecu and check the map and also visually inspect the car it’s hard to fool someone who’s job it is on a day to day , as for the car , love it and keep up the enthusiasm for modding, if you can dream it , it can be done !
  18. Have you checked the oil level ? It could be literally filled to the brim with oil that would cause it to be shooting it out the PCV to get rid of it
  19. Did the garage even do a compression test ?
  20. If I was doing it proper , I’d be stripping down and checking for burnt out / bent valves , find it hard to believe two piston have gone at once , i would be using the uprated “3” compression ring pistons I do believe they are by kolbenschmidt, do take into consideration I would be changing the bottom end bearings if taking the conrods out and fitting a new water pump and timing chain , it’s a big job to take on without all locking tools and basic knowledge , might be worth dropping a cthe engine off the old breakers in there instead
  21. Were they solid gold by any chance ?
  22. Where did you get it serviced a rolls Royce garage??? that’s scandalous prices for a service
  23. I had a whirring noise on my 1.6 TDI and it was the water pump getting ready to fail , when it did fail it nearly took out the cam belt
