  1. langers2k's post in Ambient Lighting/dome light colours? was marked as the answer
    VW Passat version: 3B7 947 105 F

    Skoda Superb version: 3U0 947 105

You probably want 2EN for the colour code.

The VW (red) version is quite common, the Skoda (green) version is much more rare
  2. langers2k's post in How to tell if my windscreen is heated or not? was marked as the answer
You should be able to see some very fine wires in the screen. Depending on the screen they might be very hard to see:

  3. langers2k's post in BCM for Superb 2.0TDI 170 1K0937087AL was marked as the answer
Have you paired the both remotes to the new BCM and checked factory mode is off as per this page: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Golf_(5K)_Body_Control_Module

ODIS is only available from Skoda/VW and has a very expensive subscription to use it. You can get pirated versions of both the hardware and software but isn't something we can discuss on the forum.

A more supported option is VCP. I can extract the old lighting configuration from your damaged BCM but you'll need someone to apply it. The closest person I know has VCP is 4 hours away from you...
  4. langers2k's post in RHD or LHD DRL/foglights exchangeable? was marked as the answer
Correct, the DRL/fog assemblies should be identical on LHD and RHD models, the part numbers are 1Z0 941 701 C (left) and 1Z0 941 702 C (right).

The fogs should have a level cut off and the DRL don't really have a cut off at all - unlike the headlights which should flick up on the passenger side
  5. langers2k's post in Console bushes was marked as the answer
I've not done this but that seems expensive.

Quality pattern parts from Lemforder are about £25 a side:
    - http://www.autodoc.co.uk/lemforder/1272788

Fitting shouldn't take long either as both are accessible once the car is off it's wheels. If you look under the car you'll see them at the rear of the front lower wishbones. Even with tracking I'd only expect an hour or two.

The bolts should ideally be replaced at the same time I believe.
  6. langers2k's post in Parking sensor plug was marked as the answer
You should just be able to replace the pin rather than the entire connector.

Anyway, assuming this is correct http://www.partsbase.org/skoda/superb-sup-eu-2009-91950-parking-aid/

I'd probably speak to your local dealer or try [email protected]
  7. langers2k's post in Which led load resistors was marked as the answer
Just found the plug and play resistors here: http://sklep.motohid.pl/pl/p/Adapter-Kasownik-do-LED-DRL-Octavia-2-FL%2C-Superb%2C-Passat/339

I'm sure there used to be a UK supplier but I think they will ship to the UK.
  8. langers2k's post in Columbus & Iphone 6 was marked as the answer
I think you have a 2012 model with maxidot and MFSW?

Best option is a 3C8 035 730 D or E bluetooth module and wiring loom, probably looking at about £100-£150 and will take an hour or so to fit. You will also get A2DP so you'll be able to stream music as well as making handsfree calls from an iphone.

If you also want USB capabilities, then you'll need to add a MDI unit. This will allow you to play music from a USB stick or an iPod connected using the correct lead. I'd probably budget another £100 and ideally it would be fitted at the same time as the BT.

Both will need coding but that's only a ten minute job
  9. langers2k's post in Heated windscreen washers was marked as the answer
I certainly wouldn't expect steam or anything that exciting!

It's only to make sure the washer jets themselves don't freeze rather than to warm up the water as it passes through.
  10. langers2k's post in Help replace Puddle Light LED Bulbs 2010 octavia Elegance was marked as the answer
The standard bulb should just be a push in W5W/501 halogen, there isn't much of a reflector (just some metal) in the stock housing so a double sided would probably be better than a 360 degree style.

It should be simple enough to get to, remove the mirror and then pull out the rubber bulb holder. It shouldn't be more than a 5 minute job to remove the mirror to check and refit the mirror. Certainly no need to drive around with a mirror missing!

I wouldn't worry about 'canbus friendly' LEDs as it won't show a bulb out warning for puddle lights
  11. langers2k's post in AutoCOM coding and feature activation was marked as the answer
I've had a quick look in ETKA and that doesn't seem to mention that part but I know it exists as I've scanned a car with it fitted. That means I'm not sure how to find the PR codes it supports which would tell you if this is possible.

Had a quick look for 1K0 modules which share H45, they look to be AP rev so support HHC but not XDS. Some modules can also be flashed to newer firmware which might unlock other functionally but again I'm not sure if yours is one of them.

I think for MK60EC1 modules that:

HHC is byte 16, bit 0
XDS is byte 17, bit 3

    Which would suggest:

    84;3D;A0;16;19;22;00;00;21;12;05;E4;98;1E;00;41;AA;00 <-- Stock
    84;3D;A0;16;19;22;00;00;21;12;05;E4;98;1E;00;41;AB;00 <-- HHC
    84;3D;A0;16;19;22;00;00;21;12;05;E4;98;1E;00;41;AA;08 <-- XDS
    84;3D;A0;16;19;22;00;00;21;12;05;E4;98;1E;00;41;AB;08 <-- HHC+XDS

Feel free to try them at your own risk but I've no idea what will happen. I have a feeling HHC might work but not XDS given the hardware version.

If the module can't support it then it may clear the entire long coding but as you have the original value that's not a big worry. Good luck
  12. langers2k's post in Surplus Hella plug behind the dash was marked as the answer
Yup, it's a temperature sensor, although the part number starts with 3D0 not 300 I'd expect a hole somewhere (in an air duct for the HVAC system) for it to fit into.

    It's mentioned in these diagrams:

  13. langers2k's post in 2006 Octavia strange brake light bulb failure was marked as the answer
Are you sure it's the brake light? The top should be the brake light and the bottom should be a fog light.
  14. langers2k's post in Badge change advice? was marked as the answer

  15. langers2k's post in Bolero from Superb fit into Octavia II ? was marked as the answer
Looking at that picture, I would expect most of that white plastic to come off as I believe it's the old connector someone hasn't removed properly.

It should look like this: http://cms2.netnews.cz/files/shop-images/6495308/24482-DSCN3169.jpg

edit: this is an actual bolero from a superb  so it definitely just needs the rest of that plug removing

At the left there is a small tab that should pull out slightly which will release it, much like you can see on this image: http://www.advanced-incar.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/a/u/audi_vw_single-fakra_to_double_fakra_connections.png
  16. langers2k's post in Supply to satnav was marked as the answer
Quick update, I had a look at the car tonight and there is no power to stereo from the harness. Checked the fuse in the engine bay which is good so all I can imagine is there is a break in the loom somewhere. Without a tone and probe I doubt I'm likely to find exactly where.

I've suggested running a new feed from the fusebox to power it the headunit.

    Any other suggestions or ideas?
