  1. There are 2 decent brands, FISCON has the 36494-6 series and DENSION a Gateway Pro model, all are factory integrated and show info in both screens. Have in mind they are expensive. You can check in their website.
  2. It looks nice, Can you share link to check out ?
  3. What could be the cost of a set of headlamps only the reflectors /housing not bulbs /ballasts... And I fancy only genuine from Hella is the best quality solution.
  4. Don't know, maybe it's out of luck but you'll need to connect with a diagnostic system like VCDS or similar to see what's happened and what's been recorded that would definitely help.
  5. What oil exactly have used and in every what distance did you performe changes? Have you been using another oil marque and changed lately when noticed the higher consumption?
  6. Normally tensioners/pulleys are changed together with the belts, especially when it has to do with timing system . No any major costs and as referred it's for peace of mind and for preventing from happening the bad... of course.
  7. As per this old post, it seems that there is a joint somewhere in the cable which may get detached from the cable lever so if not succeed with 2 people (one pulling the opening knob and other lifting the bonnet) and or try pushing bonnet first and then lift.... it would be a job of removing the left wheel and one - or two plastic inner to find the cable and try that way.
  8. Yes there are some special joints for cables to do so you can search in local market for parts so that to merge cables easier and thus do more professional work.
  9. You can g have the 2 grounds and illumination connected to ESP switch which is easy near it and should be same colored accordingly , and the rest 2 to the T16 connector CAN as the numbered pins 1to13 and 6to4.
  10. Have you any other time seen the TPMS light lit in your dash, like in a sudden pressure loss or a small hole slow hiss? If yes it seems that the TPMS system has been previously activated (supposing your ABS pump supports it using the ABS sensors) and this could have been done by using VCDS or similar. If not button there, then you need to connect VCDS or similar to re-set it, otherwise you need to install the button. But apart from that as per Langers2k, this light if lit on together with engine then it would suggest diagnose it for targeted details.
  11. The auto function can be reprogrammed, just open the window and close it holding the switch for another 5 secs after fully closed. It should then be OK.
  12. Already have the telephone mic up there and have decided to activate the head unit's voice control and install another relevant mic. The current one is snapped in the position and the usual rectangular one and the other one will be the same type but wanted to make sure they can be accommodated in that dome together as the holes for passing through the voice is one , Thanks, I'll have it looked at it and be sure to see.
  13. There is space for a second mic in the usual OEM light dome you mean but not sure? I'll have to see upon return but currently not this car with me..
  14. It was offered, At least in Greece there was an option.
  15. Has anyone fitted 2 mics in the standard OEM light dome?
  16. Maybe there are more than one issues at the same time... When idle plays it propably needs the lung cleaning or adjusting and perhaps there is also a possible internal collapse in the cat or any silencer?
  17. Has your car hit anything in the bottom during the journey ? It's obvious there is a leak somewhere, what if you get down and take a look if any tube has been hanged ?
  18. If it's been done it is supposed to have the updated (?) set which normally lasts longer. What oil used since then and how long keeping in every change? If it is sounded after 1-2 hours of sitting, then it seems it needs to look at it.
  19. Go back quickly to them and ask what is this, Is this a circo rhapsody?
  20. Re-coding back the factory code, the projectors do return to their old position. I have coded another one, and now no any AFS error showed. But they do sit higher so I see 2 screws on the HL, both they're in short distance one in front the other in back but deeper, which is for vertical and which for horizontal axis?
  21. This must is true - not all xenon headlights are the same and not share the same exact functionality (ie. the neutral position ). So if HL realighned this means you "reach" for the condition of the other much closer? I may return back to AFS I and see if get back the original position and then apply another coding to see if projectors sit somewhere else - but apart from that the re-alignment will be necessary for whatever different coding changed.
  22. Good morning ! Good thought from government - provides extra safety to all drivers and can be afforded! - I have a VW-SKODA dealer in which works a friend of mine so I'll visit them and do all relevant adjustment as should. They have the factory tooling to do (hopefully ) so. Actually I dinot adjusted as you said, I did not turn on the lights - I did not start the engine.... just switch was on and did the setting... I' ll report back upon further actions.
  23. I had re-adjusted them in past when car was new, as I had a feeling then the output was not defined or smooth or better....I was not seeing well meters in front.. it was back in 2010. Since then no any need to touch. inremeber I had visited 3-4 dealers and none of them did a correct or knew how to do it correctly! so I did it with a. Friends VCDS by the 2 screws on the headlight and it did move to the center as supposed - so I think the whole mechanism moves the ball. Bending was working perfectly.
