  1. If you turn key twice in 2 secs time it unlocks all doors? I think I've tried but not this works too....
  2. Since the RS rear spoiler added, the stock 390N shocks do not raise door that easy as before due to added weight , it's obviously. (and door is too inclined anyway...) Tried to change the shocks with some other higher power N , but then door ends up hitting when reaching on top (did not have kind of smooth stop) Skoda has another P/N for RS but still on winter times when oil is cold does not act as should wish, just in summer times it is a bit better than the weaker ones. Has anyone fitted any decent brand to raise the extra spoiler weight with ease and have a smooth stop up? Also noticed there is an option in VCDS (i think in 09 under BCM maybe....) "rear spoiler installed " . What is this for if being checked? Following the above issue, when pressing the mid button in the fob (trunk realease) the lock tries to open but due to the weight it seems it does not realease (maxidot does not show open door). At that time if i raise door with hand (after button press) it is realesed. I think this needs adjusting from the 2 black rubber adjusters in the end of the door, so that the fob trunk button releases door? Not sure if adjusting these, could lead to other issues like door would not seal well and water could enter in boot?
  3. Yes, I understand that 46 is an "embedded" (sub)module of 09-electronics module.. so any settings are done in through that. it shows up in autoscans in the modules list, just not let to enter it. PQ-35 thought it was a platform code.... but had in mind the A5 commercial code.. I'll select the PQ35-36 code so that the coding can be more appropriate.
  4. Have coded the new CAN getaway to as "not coded" instead of PQ35-PQ36 or PQ46. I see BCM is listed with PQ-35, should the gateway also be coded PQ-35? In this "module not coded" setting is only possible to check the listing controllers/devices from the installation list and so the coding 001302 is generated as a 6 digit matching the last 6 same listing from the old 1K0.. Any advise should be changed or not?
  5. Thanks Wino, Now that I take a closer look at the autoscan, no 46 controller is shown although in the initial list is shown.. Attached file.... Log-TMBBJ21Z4A8023752-169890km-105564mi.txt
  6. So the situation with that COBRA 4800 CAN series is that the key can lock all doors from key lock and the alarm gets activated (after 30 secs), while unlocking releases only driver's door (without deactivating alarm) . At that point if open the door the siren will sound.. Only if unlocking within 30 secs from llocking (and still no alarm turns on) , will unlock all doors... So I may not be able to do what have in mind, and I would need the unlocking (and alarm off) via door...
  7. Hmm.... I see... So 46 CC = BCM called really too? If not possible to open, then how the autoscan opens, checks it and be able to report no faults found message? There should be a way of accessing as there are surely settings to adjust....
  8. Yesterday I tried to enter the 46 central convienience module and with no avail. VCDS was attempting 3-4 tries then a negative message was showing preventing from opening controller. Could be the cause as I have replaced CAN Gateway with another generation or not related? Not sure when (or if) have got in that module in past.. The general autoscan does not report any problem in that module.
  9. It could be various causes, you will need to scan for faults and report to be helped..
  10. Ok, thanks, will investigate in VCDS. Though windows do open when holding key to unlock position both in door lock and in fob. (the same happens when closing them by turning to lock position of the door lock) Also think that from moment it has the alarm control fitted in the key fob, not sure if it can deactivate it when unlocking doors from the key lock.... Will try and see..
  11. Not sure if it has been posted ,but could not find any relevant info i think, how can all doors unlock with key via driver's door lock - instead of only driver's? Do have maxidot and the option is set to all doors (this for the remote procedure?) just to mention that car has a dealer's fit alarm system and which embeded in both the key fobs .
  12. You possibly left your car with no current and so it has lost settings. Also you may have noticed the auto function is windows has been missed.
  13. You can't do using VCDS , it needs dealers ODIS.
  14. It has shown to be common problem during years but there are occasions that have lasted without issues . These engines need good oil and a preferably 10k km/miles distance changes (may depend on regions) . I know locally many owners with such VAG models engine been over 200k km and still not opened side covers and haven't replaced anything...
  15. It's the chain. If it starts doing everyday you need to schedule for replacement. Usually when car is left not working for 2-3 days and more the oil drains down so it normally makes that rattle prior to lubrication to reach all parts. If it will sound in hot starts, then it will immediately need the new kit. What servicing intervals does owner keep and what oil grades used?
  16. Why should they get so dirt gathered as lenses part is so well closed area? Is this normal?
  17. I think you do not need to re-learn the positions as commands come from HVAC controller.
  18. When it comes to canbus module replacement, does it only have to sort it with just putting the same l-code from factory one to the newer and just work, or could need something else to do? This mainly for the Columbus being a young version and a few small incompatibilities need to be sorted.. Current one is, Address 19: CAN Gateway Labels:. 1K0-907-530-V4.clb Part No SW: 1K0 907 530 AD HW: 1K0 907 951 Component: J533 Gateway H16 0231 Revision: H16 Serial number: 4320K09B1902AC Coding: E9817F06400612001302 Shop #: WSC 73430 790 00000 VCID: 698E4C84D574B11FC6A-803C Which could be for a newer replacement instead? Thanks
  19. After how much time when starting driving on the motorway you keep seeing that 75? Do you have very low RPMs and low load on engine? Now that ambient temps are low and driving habits when very smooth, the oil temp raises slower. Especially when you have the heater this cools it down getting the engine's heat for the cabin. But after maybe 20-30 miles the temp should be reasonable above 80 I presume... So it depends on various things not proving for any possible fault.
  20. Do you have the possibility of scanning the vehicle for fault code?
  21. I think there is relevant post in here if you search or there are YouTube clips also. If has to do with some bolts and nuts really.
  22. Best seems to be if you can remove the cartridge and inspect from inside part.. Sometimes when removing and replacing parts could disappear noises for a reason.
  23. For cars having Stop/start system the appropriate battery should be used (stop/start). It's usually more Ah and has higher capacity.
  24. What do you mean fighting, to keep it on the road? Is it only when turning to one direction? Do you feel any strange behavior in the steering wheel?
  25. there is indeed in the maxidot in the convenience menu "Rain closing" which this enables any window to fully close when wiper stalk is at first position left. For windows closing after 12 hours, do you leave the stalk on position 1? (think it's perquisite)
