  1. Leave that 2.0TDi in front of you alone, it's probably me in my manual 2wd 190TDi accelerating in the wet wondering if my TCS light switches off!!😁 One question though, how is tyre wear with all the power?
  2. I have a manual so possibly the effect on engine power is more noticeable but I definitely wouldn't have it on unless it was necessary and a sunroof on tilt is hardly an aerodynamic disaster but allows a trickle of fresh air into the cabin. Fine if it's 22/23 degrees plus and gets a bit stuffy then I'll put it on auto.
  3. Climare control on all the time? Isn't this taking power from the engine not to mention being less efficient? I can always feel a difference in power if a/c is on, therefore only use it when necessary, prefer the pano sunroof on tilt for extra fresh air
  4. Shh don't mention that it's only 187bhp......😁
  5. 190 tdi combi 2wd manual From Fuelio 51.6mpg over 19,000 miles
  6. Next trip to Belfast most likely December, not sure how long it will take to get there if borders return! I'll have a search and see who might be approved agents, possibly someone in Dublin
  7. Sounds good, I'm jealous.....when Boris gets the bridge built I could drive across and get it done!! Do you know if a manual will cope with all those torques? Not sure how 2wd would or maybe the torque would be dialled back to suit. It must be pretty quick now at motorway speed. Enjoy and let us know how fuel consumption fares once you have stopped drving it for smiles😁
  8. It was a Re remap, ie standard car had circa 180bhp, went to 220 and now perfected at 235! Lucky b######....
  9. Manual 190 estate here, I think the turbo is bigger than the 150. From what I have read on here 150s seem to run around 160bhp and 190s a bit over 180bhp. Haven't driven a 150 but the 190 goes pretty well especially from 100km/h on. My 2wd struggled to put down the power on original tyres in the wet but changed to Goodyear and it seems to be better, will still get slight spin but then it hooks up
  10. A slightly stiffer shock might reduce the compression on the spring enough to prevent bottoming out, go that route and then let me know if it works!😁
  11. Is it a sportline? If not the standard suspension is very bouncy, especially on speed bumps, that's why I put on h&r springs aswell. They do compromise things but are still an improvement over standard. Upgrading the shocks might help?
  12. Is that specific to the L&K as I don't get the screen with my heated seats on the Style euro spec?
  13. I think that screen only pops up if you have ventilated seats as well?
  14. How do you find the grand tourer for space relative to the superb estate? The 220d M sport was on my short list before I purchased my 190 estate. It's manual 2wd so no mpg worries! I didn't need the 7 seats in the grand tourer just the available space. I was impressed with it's handling/composure on the road and it goes pretty well😁
  15. The worst I have ever gotten from a full tank was 47mpg (trip home from France, aircon on, 5 on board, boot full of luggage, roofbox, plenty of 130km/h stints etc) on a 190 manual and that's over almost 29,000km of driving. A 150 would possibly be better?
  16. I think Esseesse200s 190 4x4 was approx 182 before his remap so pretty close. Re mpg my 190 2wd manual has averaged 51.55mpg over 28,000km, pretty happy with that. Just waiting for Conor to bring me for a spin to see if I need a power bump😁
  17. I take it you are out of warranty? Had mine replaced a few weeks before it expired!
  18. Yes would be interested to see the difference with a remap, something for the future maybe!
  19. Looking forward to a spin next time you're out my way😁
  20. Sorry you are correct, it's the inspection that's 1 year but the service manager was adamant that the oil should be changed within the year which is what I would be doing anyway.
  21. The terminology in relation to services may differ in Ireland. I asked the service manager in the main dealer in Limerick to switch mine (diesel) from fixed to variable as I do a bit over 20,000km per year and he had never heard of that. He went to check and told me that they can set it to fixed 15,000km/1 year or 30,000km/1 year. I requested the latter!
