  1. So is the timing belt kit the same, mine is CFGB like yours cheers
  2. Thanks for that 👍 been trying to sort it
  3. Not sure about the turning light but when I had the others on along with Abs I think. it turned out to be the abs ring on rear hub
  4. I done the rear and Sure it’s 180Nm then 180 degrees and believe me that’s tight. Mine was no where near that tight when I undone it, came loose quite easily. on retightening I only got to approx 130 degrees and give up ( it’s not coming loose) I had a abs fault so got new sensor and broke it getting it out so stripped the disc off and that’s when I found the abs ring on the hub rusty and breaking up. Had a complete new hub which came with new bolt So wasn’t the sensor at fault hope that helps Ive also had the driver s side front drive shaft out also when I done the egr valve, just refitted the bolt and dogged up tight as possible
  5. Exactly what mine was like
  6. You be surprised how much muck etc gets behind the wheel liners Took my fronts out after finding loads of leafs while I removed the mud flap when machine polishing the car. The wife’s Fabia Vrs was unbelievable, got a shock a the amount behind them. maybe worth removing them every now and then
  7. Both wishbones had been bought as complete units back end of May while replacing all the suspension/brakes etc who ever built it up likely hasn’t tightened it up. should I have checked ? Maybe but shouldn’t really have too And no she never noticed 🙄
  8. All sorted just now, ball joint loose in end of wishbone, 2 x bolts loose, other nearly right out complete unit was replaced a few months ago ( other side still dog tight) luckily I used it last night
  9. Hi all Out in wife’s car last night and suddenly went to the right ( felt very strange as though the steering wheel wasn’t connected) then suddenly kicked back and all ok Done it a few times but only for what seems like a split second Any ideas what could be up
  10. Most likely yes you will have to remove the carriers ( they are a pig to do, awkward to get at and require M14 spline along with some patience) Could be worth a try to see if the disc will come out with it still fitted, something I’ve never tried to be honest. When I done mine I wanted the carriers off to give them a good clean.
  11. Are you feeling any kicking through the pedal when braking ? Could be a warped disc ? Possibly try swapping with other side if you can. Does the wheel spin freely ? When jacked up, possibly a binding hand brake cable on that side. You could disconnect that side and take it for run or try pulling/pushing the disconnected cable to see if it’s stiff binding
  12. When I done mine because of the same reason. The hub bolt was no where near as tight as the required torque when undoing it. Torqued to 180nm but couldn’t get the 180 degrees but it was tight. Yes the carrier bolts are a pig, I manage with a wobble drive extension and flex head ratchet Also now use a 14mm spanner on the M14 spline
  13. If you do buy one make sure you remove brake fluid reservoir top before winding the piston back. Also check that you are not twisting the piston boot also, you may have to wind piston back slightly in then remove tool to and turn boot back round if it’s sticking to the piston Halfords do the Laser one which I bought
  14. Hi I had it when my pads were seized in the carrier ( dealership serviced 😤) I would have expected the garage would have cleaned lubricated the slides. If not, if you take the caliper off ( it should go back on if not replacing pads ) and remove pads, clean the grooves (Carrier) pads fit in ( if it has metal slide covers remove them) and give everything a good clean. make sure the pads are free moving afterwards. Also lubricate caliper sliding pins The carrier is better cleaned off the car but is a bit of a pig to get off and requires a M14 spline drive
  15. Back in 2015 when I bought mine and it was still under warranty it used to make a noise every time I backed down the drive with steering turned and at the same junction with full lock on basically and various other times. Turned out to be the top strut mount
  16. They do come but you’ve got to have them at a certain angle if you look carefully you’ll see that the end of the bar has a raised bit that needs to line up with the slot in the ring on body floor.
  17. Thanks for the replies they fit but don’t seem to fit as well as the old ones and one hole needs welded as to far gone. took a old one out just above wheel well behind seat that’s like new and tried a newer type in that hole. Again fitted but not sure about the sealing ( probably need some sort of sealant on them)
  18. While doing wife’s car up I had the spare wheel out for the 1st time since it was new. Only to find rust round the Bungs/Grommets with one being very bad with rust. I ordered new ones from TPS and took an old one with me to check but appear different but lad said that is what is listed pic of old/new and part number Anyone know if these are right/wrong or replacement for them Cheers
  19. Just replaced wife’s Vrs with Bilstein B4 all round on standard springs just got it back on road yesterday also replaced both front lower wish bones
  20. Bit of a late reply but you can do a reset, it’s on YouTube mines done it a couple of times, seems to get in a muddle and doing the reset, resets the flaps etc
  21. Thanks for reply and TPS have said they are the right ones
  22. Thanks So they are the correct ones then for 288mm discs and not visible
  23. Thanks for that cheers Yes it’s 2005 and this is pic of the the o/s front yet to fit ending 312A so now unsure if correct or not 🤔
