Hi all one thing leads to another, just seems to be one thing after another lately 😤 Rear disc shield needed replaced on drivers side, broke free and rubbing on disc. Got a new one and fitted it today but noticed I need new pads and disc due to corrosion on inside of the disc. If that wasn’t bad enough the Caliper is solid and won’t wind back, I have the correct tool and been swinging off it but it just won’t back off. It’s a TRW Caliper but doesn’t have a part number on been trying to find a replacement ( going to do both sides ) Question does anyone know the part numbers for both rear calipers Rear Discs are 282mm thanks mi heads bashed in 🙄

Yes I see you’ve sealed these holes but when I was looking mine it had like a bead of silicone roughly in the area I’ve marked to what I think was to divert water from them left hand drive wiper motor holes glad you’ve got it sorted

windscreen leak in heavy rain
Snapper1725 replied to Skodamor's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Had same issue could push the windscreen up from inside can see the spots the windscreen wasn’t bonds -
😆😆😆

Try turning ignition on and leaving it a short while before actually trying to start. Had a similar issue with a petrol car and that worked, would start right away but like you would just crank before firing if you tried right away. Turned out to be the fuel pump in the end Worth ago but not really sure how the diesel system works
-
Most likely come unbounded like mine, you can see the smooth parts on pics I posted other day when the screen was removed along the top. I put a fan heater in the car to dry it out Good you’ve found the cause of the leak

Remove the A pillar trims, if it wasn’t for a little bit of water on dash I’d have never thought it was the windscreen
-
My issue was windscreen the water was actually running behind the A pillar trim and down through dash into foot well. you could actually push the screen up from inside

Them faults normally clear within a short distance of driving -

Level sensor on passenger side back wish bone Also one on front passenger side wish bone. unsure what the one on front does but the one at rear is for adjusting light heights which sounds it could be the cause

I kept getting this message from time to time, but when checking lights all was ok. The bulb eventually blew and since it got a new one fitted I never got the warning again. It was the actual the Driving Lamp bulb that lights up when turning and not the main headlamps that do the dance at start up Hope that helps

If you follow the vacuum line from the egr valve it comes to a small solenoid in the engine compartment. I changed that but didn’t make any difference. Mine used to fault and go in limp mode with coil light flashing, then be ok for ages. It then got more and more regular and started putting the engine management light on.
-
I tried all sorts but ended up biting the bullet and replaced the egr valve/unit. mine had done about the same milage, I took mine apart afterwards for a look and it was nowhere near as bad as I seen some on YouTube. It fixed the fault so something must have been wrong. The effort to take it off, there was no way I was chancing cleaning it and putting it back on to try

So that could be his cause of his headlights been wrong then if it became disconnected.
