  1. Well ffs you couldn’t make it up, just finished running a cable in at this time of night 😥 why is nowt straight forward 😤😤 other year Abs fault etc, scanned, o/s/r abs sensor. New sensor fitted ( broke old getting it out) but turned out to be hub. This time front left, new sensor fitted but no better Dive shaft removed and abs ring checked, all seemed ok Turned out it’s the earth wire between sensor plug and plug on abs pump. Absolutely fantastic Ran new earth cable in and now fault clear with no dash warning lights on. Fixing cars at 23.30 at night 🙄, just need to put it all back together now. If a gallon of petrol wasn’t so much I’d set fire to it 😂 Just waiting to for rear coil springs to come now 🙄
  2. Not sure, mine was just putting the light on and going in to limp mode. I watched this to get an idea of what was involved, he’s is making a noise and it’s the gearing inside. mine was doing nothing and looked nowhere near as bad when I took it apart out of curiosity but it fixed it 🤔
  3. Hi Obdeleven showed front left abs sensor, bought new sensor ( Ate as fitted) and still have fault. Comes up right away so as you put ignition on. been doing a bit of research JUST for checking a Abs sensor but seems to be a lot with front left faults appear. Am I missing something, someone actually changed the battery which fixed the fault 🤔 Any idea’s this car is really starting to do my head in Cheers

  10. 1K0513029JE I was thinking 7 was the correct shocker ? mam lost at the moment with all the different codes
  11. Hi all can anyone confirm if these are the right shock absorbers for my car ? Just discovered I’ve got a broken coil spring 😤 After looking on here at a chart and going by colour code (WOOOBr) I’ve discovered 1KO 511 115 DE is the right coil springs ( I hope) But struggling to fine the right shocker Any help ? Cheers
  12. Tracked today and everything looking good now. Hopefully stop scrubbing the tyres off now
  13. Turned out postage was free ordered Monday afternoon and arrived next day
  14. Powerflexstore.co.uk ( can’t get link to work 🙄)
  15. Just fitted 4 of them to my car, makes it easier now and hopefully stop the tyre fitters jacking it up on the Sill lips
  16. Hi thanks for the replies I’ve (and brother) have checked all bushes this morning all seem ok ( milage in 80k’s) But since it’s sitting with all wheels off and booked in on Thursday for tracking I decided to clean threads up etc on track rods. i discovered the locking nuts on either side were seized solid. We have spent ages getting them free and cleaned all threads up so everything moves easily Now thinking the tracking has never been done right So hopefully find out Thursday
  17. Hi all Is the front Camber adjustable ? For some reason I thought the strut to hub had two bolts through but just discovered it’s only got one when I’ve taken the wheel off. Scrubbed the front insides off very badly, Tracking done a few months ago at Ats which was apparently out but it doesn’t seem to have sorted it. I’ve kept an eye on the wear. Kwik Fit had ago the time before that (Twice) and the print out shows Front Camber out It’s booked Thursday to a small independent garage with 4 wheel alignment who I would hope would give more attention to the results. Cant seem to find any info on front but plenty on rear cheers
  18. I’d say left rear 290
  19. Hi I broke the sensor trying to get it out so had to take the disc off. Thats when I thought ****e it’s the hub, sections missing etc due to rust and breaking up maybe around 70k ( can’t really remember) wasn’t much visible rust to be seen, just the thin metal of the abs ring
  20. All I can say is mine turned out to be the hub ring starting to break up
  21. When I’ve changed mine in the past, I’ve just knocked the ignition on and off a few times to prime. always started with no issues
  22. Basically knackered them discs and need changed. Thats beyond surface rust with standing and won’t clean up braking, rust as got behind the braking surface and as been said starting to delaminate. Lads brake discs, obviously a lot worse
  23. I caved in and changed the cables on wife’s Vrs, so wished I’d done them sooner as not a bad job to do and what a difference it made. Know you’ve got drums and shoes but if everything is clean and shoes adjusted manually so just slightly dragging and both sides the same then all should be ok regarding handbrake. One way to tell is have a look at the bar on end of the lever we’re the cables are connected and adjustment is for the cables ( if it’s the same as ours) and see if it’s pulling straight when applying the handbrake, wife’s was **** eyed
  24. Found this kit showing engine code CFGB so have the gates part number. Anyone know if this is correct or discovered what the difference is between CBBB and CFGB
