  1. Thanks for reply, looks like it to come to bits again 🙄 Spent about a hour looking on google for images, part numbers etc and couldn’t find anything. sure the part numbers of top of my head end in 311 and 312
  2. Just been doing wife’s Vrs ( all standard) and just put this side back together with a new disc shield fitted also. question, should it be bigger than the disc and slightly visible ( old ones missing so can’t compare) Starting to think TPS may have given me the wrong ones Any ideas cheers
  3. Just make sure it’s all cleaned out really well, line it up at one end and start working your way along do this bit 1st before fitting clips, bonnet seal etc its the best way I’ve found
  4. Wife’s had hers since it was 2 months back in 2005 Used to chuck black smoke out when accelerating. Used to fill it up at super markets etc. when I got my new car 5years ago starting putting Bp in and then starting filling Fabia Vrs up with Bp. Over time it cleared up and nowhere near as bad
  5. Does give you a warning if a bulb has failed, I kept getting a warning check right front day time running light. Not 100% sure but do you not have to have the lights switched to auto. Sure I’ve read something but could be totally wrong
  6. Watched a clip on YouTube, a guy going on about Audi oil usage and how they get round it by stating in the handbook that 1ltr usage per 1000km or miles ( can’t remember) is normal. Which to me is a joke
  7. I had tyre sawing on the back thinking it was wheels bearings. so I thought I’d put them on front thinking I’d scrub the high spots off. But 1st drive was horrendous, the noise/vibration it was making. Ended up two new tyres
  8. Yes you can, you need to have them at a certain angle for them to slide out. the round bar as a bit sticking out and that bit needs lined up for it to slide out
  9. I had Abs light on, pic of steering wheel, tyre pressure and another fault came back right rear abs fault, so I got a new sensor and broke the old one getting it out so ended up stripping the brakes off etc so I could knock it out. That’s when I found the hub Abs thingy had fell apart 😤 so most likely had been hub in 1st place and not sensor
  10. I struggled to reconnect mine when I done the egr valve. I had the two bolts removed from the support bracket to the block and also further back to the sub frame but ended up having to loosen the two bolts on the dpf to that bracket before I could get the dpf to line up with the turbo correctly without having a fight or forcing it. once it was clamped back up then went back and refitted/tightened the support bolts
  11. Mines a 2013 with 6 speed, 70k and egr valve packed in. Don’t know if it’s with some short journeys I do or not reviving it enough but who knows. Lately been driving it and keeping it in 5th on the roads round where I live as I noticed like you that 5th is 2000rpm and 6th knocks it down to 17000rpm. Don’t know if it’s my imagination but the fuel consumption also seems better
  12. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/441688-glow-plug-light-flashing/ I posted this a while back with some pictures of the egr valve (new one) I always fill up with premium fuel (Esso) and have done since I bought the car with 26k on clock but mine packed in at approx 70k. I took the old one apart but it wasn’t no where as bad as I was expecting after seeing some on YouTube. Mine cost £420, egr valve ( genuine) gaskets etc and coolant from Tps plus my time fitting. Don’t think am doing my car any good really with some of the short runs I do
  13. Hi thanks for that, had been trying to find some info. the wire is white/yellow with grey specs on. This is a better picture of the wire, I tried to add this pic to my original post but couldn’t for some reason
  14. Hi all A while back when changing front pads the plastic connector for the pad sensor broke where it slides in a bracket, I covered it with tape and all was done ok. Yesterday 4 warning lights came on. Abs, traction control, tyre pressure and a pic of steering wheel. So wondering if I could change that wiring section that goes through wheel arch into engine compartment I removed battery etc and found a large harness that was rubbing on the battery tray, one wire look as though it was worn through but luckily not, it’s taped up now along with harness and moved slightly with some protection on it ( see pics ) So wondering if anyone knows what this wire is for ? Also may be worth checking your own for same issue Also still have fault and can’t change that cable as it goes into a large harness but checked out its ok So going to get it scanned Cheers, I know I may be asking the impossible
  15. Looking at that tread pattern on them tyres I would avoid them if I’d been shown them at a tyre garage. But that’s just my opinion
  16. Tyre sawing, caused by the way the tread leaves the road after contact. I had, now look for a tyre that’s tread is continuous round the tyre and not in blocks if that makes sense
  17. Mine was 5 year. 2013 reg 2.0ltr tdi
  18. Most likely cos they will just change the oil and drive it back out. well that’s from my dealer servicing experience, paying a fortune and then finding yer brake pads seized in solid
