  1. 3 hours to cut? Get a self propelled petrol. Mine used to take an hour, now takes about 15min!
  2. I love Dr Who......Or should i say i love Dr Who's assistant: Have a thing for gingers
  3. 1. As little or as long as you like. I always do it straight after. 2. Yes, AG is awful for this.....but easily fixed with some IPA/Glass Cleaner/APC 3. Leave the Extra Gloss on for at least an hour and just wipe it on the surface, don't rub as you will just 'wash' off the hard work of the AG SRP.
  4. Wow, how weird - saw another furby in an identical crash this morning! As said, write off i'm afraid.
  5. So this is the box that will let you connect up non RSAP phones, ie iPhone? If so sold!
  6. They don't - Only the oil filter which is changed on any regime.
  7. Absolutely no difference i'm afraid. They will probably say its different oil but the reality is it will be 507.00 oil on either service regime.
  8. Not racist at all, its fact. The area is full of immigrants, unemployed and general scum. You only have to watch an episode of traffic cops and catch an episode of Midlands Today to see this. Shootings, stabbings, terrorists, eastern European fraudsters, drugs raids all on the news every day. Do you think any of these people have insurance? There are some lovely people in brum, I know a few but on the flip side there are some utter scum. I live just outside wolverhampton and tbh this is as bad, if not worse and I for one can't wait to get out. Police are partly to blame due to cutbacks and not fighting 'non serious' crime. Case in point in the fact I've given up phoning the police about blatant criminals on my estate.
  9. To give you an idea of price I'm going in October for 3weeks consisting of 5nights in Vegas at the Wynn encore suites, then onto 7 nights in Hawaii at a 4star Hilton then onto 6nights in san Francisco at a 4star grand hyatt. This is with virgin flights and transfers and is coming in at just over £4k. Also this includes a mustang convertible in san fran with Sat nav. The Sat nav was an extra £2 a day! I can't wait so you'll have to let you know how you get on before I go.
  10. No criticism taken. We are renting basically because we are trying to sell our 2 bed home. 2 bed homes are aimed at first time buyers and first time buyers simply can't get mortgages. We have had ZERO viewings since it went on the market in April! We aren't looking to make money but simply keep it ticking over until the housing market and banking crisis is in a situation to afford to lend to first time buyers. We really don't want to rent but don't really have a choice! I am sick of living in a 2 up 2 down in a crappy area and SWMBO will be working from home 3 days a week from October so need Office space and need access to a main train line to London as she will be required to go there 2 days a week. We are in a very fortunate (at the moment anyway) position with regards to finance as after the £90k deposit we will still have a fair bit saved and SWMBO has landed a very good job (£16k payrise) so we can more than afford the 2 mortgages and any future interest rate rises. Hopefully looking long term we would want to sell as soon as the first time buyers market picks up so we can get rid of the noose round our necks! Finally i will want to stop with NW as i have my current mortgage with them and both of the above rates are 'flexclusive' deals for bank account holders. They offer £300 cashback and you can overpay up to £500 a month which of course we will do as and when we have surplus cash.
  11. the bed the piston rings in. There is plenty of evidence on the internet with proof its better for you're car than keeping below certain revs
  12. Just had an offer accepted on a house and i am keeping and renting my existing house. This means i will be having a brand new mortgage. Which is the best type of mortgage to have with the current financial situation and rates? I have looked on Nationwide as thats who my current mortgage is and i can get: Fixed rate for 4 years at 3.09% - £999 fee Tracker for 5 years at 3.29% - £99 fee My SVR on the current house is 2.5% but as i will be letting it they will load another 1.5% onto the mortgage after 6 months meaning that the new mortgage will be a lower rate! I could pay off more on this mortgage and increase the mortgage on the new property but i don't really see point in this as i will just have to pay more tax on the rental income as i will be paying less interest! The house i am buying is £250k and i will need a £160k mortgage. My current house has £100k outstanding on a value of £125k. The ltv on the existing house wont change as i want to have a totally new mortgage on the new house and keep the existing one as is. Any advice gratefully received!
  13. No need to run in - give it beans when the oil (not water) is up to temp through the gears and up to the redline if you wish. This is what i did with mine and it uses no oil and gives great performance (see sig )
  14. Mates said Polo GT has been on variable since new (Dec 2004) and now coming up to 150k with no problems besides a new turbo at 120k due to sticky vanes from supermarket diesel . My Bora also on variable since new (Nov 2004) is now on 105k with no problems (touch wood!)
  15. Its always been this since variable was introduced. I have it on my 54 reg Bora and said mates Polo GT which gets 24k intervals.
  16. just because you've got that it doesn't mean that's it. My mate gets 24k out of his which is 90% motorway. It tells you in the book.
  17. FL Octy CR VRS 1) Cheezemonkhai 2) VRSerious 3) Zednine 4) Sib-rs 5) jrw
  18. FSH doesn't mean a lot nowadays. I would rather see a book full of independent stamps rather than dealer ones anyway as i wouldn't trust a dealer to service a car correctly anyway.
  19. Variable service on a diesel is up to 30k, not 18.6k. Don't know where you got that from but its clearly displayed in the service book.
  20. Oil and filter is basically all they do on a service anyway so unless you want a stamp in your book, do it yourself.
  21. Exactly, hence its gone very quiet after he 'talked' it up prior to delivery
  22. It was really quiet when i went.....got slowed down waiting for a bike and a GT500 to pass me though and i also passed a couple of cars on the way round. Mate videod it and it was 11mins. Not bad for a second lap although don't really know what a good time is for a public lap as you have to come on and off on the main straight so can't get up to the top speed like you can on GT5, only managed 125mph i think!
  23. hmmmm not sure on a full sus for road riding. I think you would be better off with a hard tail. There is a full sus in the classifieds iirc.
  24. Ongoing testing of the Evoque too or there is a new engine out as they were ragging that round the 'Ring last month along with an awesome sounding XJR and the new V12 Vanquish
  25. Have fun and be careful on the 'Ring. Someone died the day before i went round....Take it easy and enjoy the experience. I loved it and can't wait to go back.
