  1. I hope it is not frowned upon to resurrect old threads. I have been trying to find out about DSGs as my car sometimes accelerates erractically i.e. a light press of the accelerator can cause the car to accelerate faster than expected (not dangerously so just more than anticipated). It hasn't happened enough for to estabilsh a trend/pattern. Does the DSG adjust to driving style and if so is there a way to reset this. My car is used thus I would rather it was adjusted to me rather than the previous owner which maybe the cause of my issue (I have the 6 speed wet clutch box).
  2. Hi, I decided to fit the caps to the front tweeters, please can you give some pointers to getting to the tweeters. Last thing I want is a broken clip and a resultant rattle. Thanks.
  3. Mine is a 150 diesel in race blue too but only Elegance (old school) & 5.8"
  4. Looks great, v. envious! Are you going to wager on transport blocks fitted or removed?

  12. On later cars Intelligent Light Assist comes with Lane Assist. If you follow the instructions from Vegit8 you will get a confirmation in the bottom centre of the maxidot (a light symbol with an 'A' in it). You can see this on page 17 of the brochure from Vegit8's link where they show the maxidot for Lane assist.
  13. Those LED lights and 'C' shape DRLs really make it stand out from the crowd. I can only be envious.... Good luck with the handover and enjoy!
  14. Hello all, I originally posted this on the Octy III forum but felt this is the better place. To code foglights as coming/leaving home (CH/LH) light in place of the xenons headlights can I use the following (this has been copied from Andyvee's sticky): Foglights as coming home/leaving home lights Controller 09 - Central Electronics 16 - Security Access - enter 31347 10 - Adaptations (4)-Comfort illumination-Coming Home Leuchten - change to Foglight (Nebellicht) I was advised that this tweak will use the fog lights and the head lights as CH/LH, after that I will need to disable the feature on both headlight adaptation channels as well. Does anyone know the additonal code to disable the feature on both headlight adaptation channels. In short I wanted to preserve the life of the xenon bulbs by using just the foglights and DRLs as CH/LH lights. Thank you in advance.
  15. Thank you I did not realise that I thought changing the value at (4) to Nebellicht substituted the headlight for the foglight. Do you know the full tweak to disable the headlight but not the DRLs for coming/leaving lights?
  16. Hi - Is there anyone close to the Andover, Hampshire area who can code Foglights as coming/leaving home lights. I need the lights (incl the DRLs) as it is dark where I live but wanted to save the xenons from wear and tear. An extract from Andyvee's past post list the following code: Foglights as coming home/leaving home lights Controller 09 - Central Electronics 16 - Security Access - enter 31347 10 - Adaptations (4)-Comfort illumination-Coming Home Leuchten - change to Foglight (Nebellicht) Thank you
  17. My sidebulbs were blue too, I think the car came out the factory with these fitted.
  18. I have recently bought my used Octavia and I have been looking at the market. I noticed the petrol VRS estates (63 plate and less than 25K miles) were at least £18K thus if your one is a reasonable colour I will be surprised if you can't sell it for close to that figure. However if you are talking about P/X then £14K is about right. If you were selling your car for £15.5K three weeks ago I would have bought it in a flash, this is what I paid for my Octavia (63 plate and 7K miles).
  19. If you are a AA member (not incl. Skoda Assistance) you get free access to Glass car guide which adjusts for mileage, options, etc. thus may give you a quote more reflective of your vehicle spec. If you don't have access then PM me and I will check for you after work.
  20. Very nice C250, look like adaptive LED lights too (v. envious). My other car is a C220 AMG Sport (W204) and like yourself I was fortunate to have a first class handover at Mercedes they even paid for a stay at a De Vere Hotel the night before pick-up. I am not sure what Skoda handover is like as I bought my Octavia used from a not franchise dealership. However my initial contact with Skoda servicing has not been good in the Hampshire area, trying to buy a Skoda service plan proved far harder than it should be with every Skoda dealership wanting to sell there own plan at rip-off prices. Even rang Skoda UK who passed me over to Skoda Finance who were both equally clueless, certainly wasn't 'Simply Clever'. On a more positive note, I have had my Octavia for two weeks now and am still over the moon with it. Good luck with the C250.
  21. I'm pretty sure you will have sidelights (I have on my bi-xenons), they are next to the projector lamp behind the silver plastic deflector. They are 501 (W5W) bulbs and easy to get to - I have swapped mine with canbus LEDs.
  22. Does anyone know how to raise the headlamp washers to permit adjustment? At current my washers clean the headlamp, door mirror, the side of the front doors and any pedestrian I am passsing at the time
