  1. Do any of these old links help: http://www.rainworthskoda.co.uk/news.php http://www.arnoldclark.com/skoda/0-percent/ http://www.caffyns.co.uk/skoda/offers/new-skoda-octavia-offers/ http://www.sparshattsgroup.co.uk/octavia_estate/finance-hatchback.html
  2. Thank you for the update. Since reading your post I have also written to SUK, I will let the forum know if I get a response.
  3. Asd per post #4, the chap below has a Milotec extension which looks good: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/351416-my-modifications/
  4. I am sure people will talk about unsprung mass and side-wall flex, etc but in the 'real world' it is purely comestics. Can't say I'm an exception; if someone offered to swap a set of 19" Xtreme for my 17" Teron I would not decline despite it being illogical.
  5. I am not sure if there is a section 95, it is not listed in the contents page. Which aspect of the electrical section does section 95 cover?
  6. I would advise checking the size of your front discs before exchanging for a smaller sized wheel. If your L&K has 312mm diameter front disc then you will need to stick with 18". Also Skoda will not deal with any wheel warranty issues with anything other than your originals. Not sure if you plan to sell privately in the future but you will have a harder time trying to move on a L&K with 16" Wheels.
  7. Also post to the styling and car care section of the forum, they are very knowledgeable about cleaning products and paint protection.
  8. With some types of seats, you can physically get three in but as the O3 buckles are sunk flush to the bench cushion the middle seat will inevitably obstruct the buckles and make it very difficult to release in an emergency.
  9. I thought it was to address the low frequency frequency boom
  10. I am surprised if it doesn't fit. I have seen a few 64 & 15 plates Elegance with them, an example is below: http://www.heritageskoda.co.uk/Used-Car-Details/used-skoda-octavia-20-tdi-cr-elegance-150ps-ds-hatchback-metal-grey-metallic-metallic-automatic-diesel-ID_1122032605091586.aspx
  11. The MIB2 Amundsen manual is not specific to the Octavia e.g. it is used on the Superb 3 which does have the ambient lighting (Std on L&K but an option on all other models)
  12. You can set them to quite a low level of 'dimness' via car settings on the radio (I run at about 60% brightness)
  13. The ambient lighting is set in the lighting section of car settings in the radio. It is normal for the dial needles to light up only at night when you unlock the car. It is a 'style thing'.
  14. My car was £15.5K (7K miles on the clock), an equivalent Golf (with all the useful options) would be circa £19K; if I had £19K I would get a used Superb Estate Elegance - but that is a different conversation
  15. Page 28 of the Amundsen manual states that the system has been tested up to 32GB
  16. Hopefully you can amend your order (fingers crossed). However if you are forced down the retrofit and want to stay with OEM parts there are two options (your dealer should be able to confirm the right part for your L&K): If you have 288mm diameter front discs then you will need 5Q0601011B (wheel) and 5E0093860 (tool kit) http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-spare-wheel-2014-2017-50745 http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-a7-spare-wheel-tool-kit-2014-2018-50761 If you have 312mm diameter front discs then you will need 5K0601011AA (wheel) and 5E0093860A (tool kit) http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Octavia_Mark_3_VRS-_Spare_Wheel_5K0601011AA http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Octavia_Mark_3_VRS-_Spare_Wheel_Tool_Kit_5E0093860A
  17. Like you say the only way you will know is to try with 4 people in the car. May be the garage can release the car to you as a secondary test drive so you can try. It is a concern and not unreasonable.
  18. I have rust on my discs if I leave it undriven for a few days. It is normal as they are just steel (the Octavia don't have the carbon/ceramic option yet ) and thus surface rust will always appear when exposed to moisture.
  19. If it was my owe money as opposed to a company car I would go for a MY16 car or push for a big discount on a MY15 vehicle. I know it is about personal preferences but I think the benefits of a MY16 outweigh that of a MY15 especially when it comes to private resale. When you opt for a high spec L&K I think you need as many toys as possible to distinguish yourself from the common Elegance gang
  20. Spacers definitely looks good and the wider track is noticeable. Are there any issues with the life of the wheel bearings when using spacers i.e. as the contact point is moved outboard there is greater moment on the inner race of the bearing?
  21. Bigger screen, better resolution, faster processor - I wish I had a MY16 Amundsen
  22. I agree, I thought you had two of these : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Multifunctional-box-under-the-rear-tray-for-Octavia-III-5E5061109-/201379478331?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item2ee326fb3b
  23. Hope this helps http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/354036-postcodes-on-satnav-admundsen/?hl=%2Bpostcode#entry4238676
  24. You can retrofit them although they are quite expensive (note: cannot be fitted in conjunction with electric seats): http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-storage-box-under-the-RIGHT-seat-original-Skoda and http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-storage-box-under-the-LEFT-seat-original-Skoda
