Yea mate cancelled mine late April, and took a punt on Cupra. Delivered 5th July. Loving it so far, although my infotainment has the odd sleepy morning too. Glad you’re sorted and I’m sure your puddle light will get sorted soon enough. 👍🏼

Love it mate. You are a very lucky man. My 4x4 vRS estate in meteor grey never had a build week assigned after 16weeks, so I cancelled my order back in April. A quick look on the “Delivery Times” thread tells me I made the right decision. But I’d have loved the car I originally ordered. Enjoy it pal. 👍🏼👍🏼

You’re absolutely right. “I don’t know” isn’t an acceptable response and was the reason my patience ran out back in April. Having waited a little longer than I’d hoped, my Formentor is due into the dealer this Friday, so fingers crossed, I should be in a new car sometime in the next three weeks. Some crazy ride these last six months, involving two brands, a global pandemic and a global parts shortage. What a time to try and get a new car!! 🤣🤣🤣

This has been mentioned before on here. But it was rear interior lights rather than front. if I recall correctly, the whole light cluster was replaced under warranty and that seemed to resolve the issue. 👍🏼

My wife took delivery of a Kuga ST Line X edition in January and I have to say, It’s a cracking car. I’ve been really impressed and it’s exceeded all expectations, given we’ve never had a Ford in the family before. Good luck and hope you have an exciting touring summer 👍🏼👍🏼

I know pal, really odd. Think I just fell unlucky with my timing / choice of spec/bodystyle maybe? Like I said earlier, even the head of sales for the dealership was surprised and had no answer as to why no build date had been allocated or when one could be expected. Great news for you though bud, I bet you’re absolutely buzzing. Hope it all tracks as it should from this point on for you and we’ll both be sitting behind new steering wheels very soon. ✌🏼

Mate absolutely go for it. Must admit I had a moment when I read the literature and thought maybe they’d changed the spec and got excited. But then as you read different threads across different topics you begin to see how vaguely worded and sketchy the brochure is. I think you’ll be lucky. On any review video you can find, regardless of market / country, not one Octavia mk4 has rear door led’s. In fact it’s referenced in most of them as “VW politics” fitting to golf and not to Leon/Octavia. if they do agree to retrofit, I would suggest posting all the details on here so every other owner could follow suit. You’d be a Legend!! 💪🏼✌🏼✌🏼

Cheers buddy, Cupra Formentor arriving in 5 weeks. 👍🏼 it is what it is pal. The Head of Sales said to me that there’s obviously major supply chain issues at Skoda, but even he had no answer or context to give. So at least I can now plan returning my car and look forward to a summer in a new car. 👍🏼

Well in the words of Duncan Banatyne from his stint in Dragons Den “I’m ooot” Its been a pretty poor experience really and I don’t blame my dealer too much, the issue is with Skoda. I phoned and cancelled my order today. Had a call back from the Dealerships Head of Sales, a very decent guy, he looked on the order system whilst we were chatting and said he couldn’t believe I was still waiting for a build week to be allocated after nearly three months. The biggest thing for me was how open ended the scenario was and the fact that Skoda seem to think it’s an acceptable situation. The Head of Sales completely agreed and has reluctantly cancelled my order. Best of luck to you @edrenshaw you’ll have one less meteor grey 4x4 kicking around. I hope you get a resolution or find a satisfactory outcome either way. Cheers guys. My brief flirtation with returning to the Skoda fold has been emotional 🤣🤣 ✌🏼✌🏼

I’ve just had to MOT my 5 series pal, it passed, but know exactly what you mean. You don’t want to be sinking “dead money” into a car you’ll be saying goodbye to. It can’t be a coincidence that we’ve ordered virtually identical cars and are being kept on the hook longer than others I’ve seen on these pages? The three elements we have in common are Meteor Grey paint (have they run out? 🤣) Canton Sound (worldwide shortage of spare wheel sub woofers? 🤷🏻‍♂️) Four wheel drive system (Haldex factory closed due to COVID? 🤔) oh and we’ve both ordered estates, so maybe that’s it? Bizarre pal, after convincing myself to remain patient a few weeks ago, I’m getting itchy feet again☹️

Mate, that has given me some kind of twisted comfort that someone else is getting absolutely no definitive answers re their ordered car. So I sympathise massively and thank you for sharing. Is yours a similar spec to mine, 4x4 diesel vRS estate?

So I know I said I’d be patient and I have been for two weeks. contacted Skoda today. “No build week has yet been allocated to your order. Please leave it until the end of the month to check again.” So difficult to deal with this open ended scenario. Ah well. I’ll just have to try and forget that I’ve orders a new car again for a few more weeks. 🤪

Webasto is the auxiliary heater that some markets (colder countries) have as an option. Very rarely found in UK cars.
