Got to be honest, I couldn’t tolerate the levels of non resolution I’ve been reading on this thread, and with growing consternation. I ordered a vRS two weeks ago, and came back on here excited to see how the mk4 was shaping up. But these tech issues are just depressing. I’m hoping you’re right and that cars being built in the next couple of months haven’t inherited the legacy issues you guys are dealing with. Such a shame. Hope you get a swift resolution to your rejection. 👍🏼

my opinion on this, definitely “less is more” I think it’s a bit unnecessary plus the badge has changed to all red, so with the older badge there’s more of a link, but next to a red badge, I’m not sure it carries. But that’s just my two penn’orth.

Yeah maybe, I don’t know 100%. It just made more sense as to why some would have it and some wouldn’t.🤷🏻‍♂️

Is the DSG temp only for the “wet” version of the gearbox which is only on higher powered engines, rather than the “dry” box on the smaller engines?

Conversely, I’m a little disappointed that there’ll be no 4x4 badge on the boot of the Mk4. I liked that little point of difference on the Mk3, but it was subtle.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but could you confirm where the subwoofer is? Is it in the spare wheel ?

Me too. I’ll keep scouring the inter web to see if anyone reviews it. I only ordered mine last Friday so pretty much same timelines as you if I’m lucky. 🤞🏼

Shame it doesn’t have an option to extend the ambient lighting to the rear doors. 😬

Good choices. I’ve ordered the same car but just the Canton as an option. When are you expecting your car? I only ask as I’ve started a thread on the Mk4 Canton system asking for any reviews / feedback, but haven’t had any joy. Mustn’t be many speccing it.

Yes it is, thanks for responding. Doesn’t appear to be many O4 with Canton to get feedback on the actual new set up. Either way it’s surely better than stock and in that sense should improve the sound. 👍🏼

From what I’ve read, no 12v in the front. Only one in the boot. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi all, been a long time away after chucking in my 2015 vRS estate for 5 series touring (don’t hate me). Anyway, just placed an order for a new vRS tdi 4x4 estate and have specced the Canton, I’m really struggling to find any info on it though aside from what’s on the configurator. (Attached). has anyone taken delivery of a Canton equipped car? I remember from previous mk3 forums wildly varying assessments of that upgrade, but this one has a slightly different configuration with two extra speakers and a sub in the spare wheel. cheers
