  1. I think you should persevere with the steering wheel buttons. From experience of similar functionality on other cars, the โ€œskipโ€ ratio starts fairly slow for smaller adjustments, but the longer the buttons are held down, the increments speed up rather rapidly until you are literally skipping minutes at a time. could be worth a revisit?๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  2. To be fair, I think the rear wiper was a no cost option on the Mk3 too.
  3. Thanks. Iโ€™m still waiting for my car so will do some digging in advance of its arrival. Thatโ€™s a new piece of functionality that I wasnโ€™t expecting. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  4. Ah cheers pal. I did wonder because my Mk3 definitely didnโ€™t have anything electrical relating to the load cover, so wondered what had changed. when you say thereโ€™s an option to have it enabled, what do you mean? Is it configurable in the car settings menus?
  5. I had a manual slider one on my Octy 3 estate. Iโ€™ve got an electric retractable one on my current 5 series touring, which โ€œliftsโ€ the cover up when the boot lid is opened and drops it back down when the boot lid closes, so just wondered if it was similar to that, but havenโ€™t seen anything โ€œelectricโ€ on any of the review videos Iโ€™ve seen so far? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  6. Not seat related, so apologies, but the wording in that brochure re the Electric Boot Lid says โ€œEstate models include Electrically operated luggage compartment coverโ€ Anyone have any idea what that is?
  7. Ah, I reckon itโ€™ll be difficult to retro fit but a dealer would be the ones to ask for a definitive. Hope you get sorted. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  8. Are you getting a stock car which didnโ€™t have the free option ticked? otherwise just tick the option box. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ I doubt very much it can be retro fitted and would say the motor 100% wonโ€™t be fitted to cars with no wiper.
  9. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ itโ€™s now my mantra. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ
  10. Itโ€™s crazy pal. What I donโ€™t understand with all this, and Iโ€™ve been on these threads since late January, is that some cars are taking 12 weeks order to delivery, some are taking 4 or 5 months and some are being quoted 22 weeks. Then there is the โ€œbuild week debacleโ€ Some have had build weeks confirmed within days of orders being placed. Some have had build weeks confirmed within a couple of weeks but the build week is August!! Then there are some like me who are yet to have a build week confirmed despite the order being confirmed almost two months ago and when queried with Skoda, not the dealer but actual Skoda, the response is that there is no ETA for confirmed build, but to โ€œtry again in a couple of weeks.โ€ ๐Ÿคฏ And then you share your experience, which must be frustrating to say the least. Iโ€™ve never known such a varied set of results, itโ€™s mind boggling. I hope your car makes itโ€™s way onto a boat soon. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ
  11. Thanks @Aarond I was getting a bit emotional about it a couple of weeks back, but now Iโ€™m just waiting it out. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Better for my blood pressure.๐Ÿคฃ
  12. Itโ€™s amazing you guys getting build weeks full stop. My order was accepted 10th Feb, still no build week allocated๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ And thatโ€™s confirmed from Skoda, with no ETA of a build week being allocated either.
  13. Thank you. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ
  14. Haha. Itโ€™s like marmite that actuator. Itโ€™s odd that theyโ€™ve taken a backwards step re how it functions though. It shouldnโ€™t be active in normal, it should kick in when you select Sport. I think the remembering of last drive mode (or lack of) is definitely WLTP legislation driven as itโ€™s the same with a number of new cars now. I had Mk3 vRS diesel, but 2wd so the torque used to play havoc with the front wheels and that juddering through them was painful when taking off from the lights. So was hoping the 4wd would eliminate that. Thanks for your thoughts, itโ€™s great hear from someone who has the car already. Enjoy your motor pal and happy (responsible๐Ÿ˜ฌ) driving. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  15. How are you finding the car in general @MadPete? Iโ€™m waiting on my 4x4 estate, but theyโ€™re like hens teeth on here so not much feedback on how it drives etc.
  16. Almost the same as mine @dave03 but youโ€™ve got a few extras. Would you mind posting your first impressions of the Canton please when you take delivery?
  17. Yeah and itโ€™s totally self inflicted. If you gave it less beans, itโ€™s was perfectly fine, but the times you fancied giving it some, then the torque through the front wheels just seemed to overwhelm it a little and itโ€™d be juddering about a bit. The CARWOW review with Matt Watson is a great example of how I used to feel when it happened, you felt like you were hurting your own car. ๐Ÿ˜ข Anyway, fingers crossed Iโ€™ll have some update of my own to post soon. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  18. Would be made up our cars were sharing the same crossing pal. Yeah on 12k a year still, so diesel is still a no brainier for me. Went 4x4 this time because my 2015 diesel vRS used have that horrible judder every time I got enthusiastic from standstill, so I fancied some cleaner getaways this time. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  19. Good news mate. My order is showing on the system as 10th Feb, meteor grey 4x4 vRS estate with Canton. Still no build week confirmed. So youโ€™ve done ok with that. Hope it sticks to that timeline now too for you. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  20. I think HU means Head Unit in the above and not Head Up Display.๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  21. Some great results being seen in the last few days and also some very long timelines estimates at the same time. Keep the updates coming chaps as it does help when reading that cara are being built / delivered. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ
  22. Great news mate. 13 weeks is a right result in current climate. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  23. Yeah I know mate. Iโ€™m feeling more philosophical about it as my current lease co have now agreed to an informal lease extension capped at 6 months, when previous correspondence had only offered fixed term 6 or 12 month extensions neither of which I wanted to commit to. So now I can just sit back and see what happens. However I would still say that one and a half weeks to place an order on the Skoda system is going to take some explaining. But I need to focus on the things I can influence and stop sweating the stuff beyond my control. Itโ€™s still the car I want, despite scouring the โ€œin stock dealsโ€ nothing really ticks as many boxes for me, so Iโ€™ll be patient and await news of my Build Week. @e-Roottoot indeed the delays have many layers, with so many factors to link in. strange days indeed. โœŒ๐Ÿผ
  24. Thanks mate, thatโ€™s what I would imagine the timelines would be like. Think my dealer may have some questions to answer. ๐Ÿ˜•
  25. Not sure if anyone has a definitive answer to this, but speaking to Skoda earlier re still no build date allocation, and decided to ask them when my order showed on the system. They said 10th February. However, I signed my paperwork with the dealer on 29th January, a full week and a half earlier!! Does anyone know if this is standard and just the way things are, or like me, would you expect that if you sign your paperwork to place your order on the 29th January, your order would be showing up on the Skoda system on that day? Or at the very latest the within a couple of days? If anyone has any first hand experience of these timelines, Iโ€™d be very grateful if you shared them. Cheers.
