Swap octavia VRS tsi 230 2018 in black 41k miles for diesel
How many miles a year do you actually do? Seems daft to swap for the slower, noisier and less refined engine when, apart from fuel, the remainder of running costs are exactly the same.

How can I make my RS230 sound like a Golf GTI / R?
Which will make it sound nothing like a standard Golf GTI or R

vRS Door Safety Lights
Same. Although you will see fault codes logged against the door controllers, but no errors on the dash or in the infotainment. I don't believe they can be coded.

Any way to have sequential rear turn signal on a pre facelift O3?
As above, cluster shape doesn't really lend itself to dynamic which might be why it's proving hard to find.

Excessive tire wear
That's actually quite reasonable. I think I paid £50 at a place in Bolton with Hunter that is well rated but adjustments were on top. Didn't really need much so wasn't charged any extra.

Car purchased some quick queries.
Postcode search is on there, you have to go into town and then the button is on the bottom left corner of the screen. Think it says Ptcd or something like that. I have a MIB1 Columbus as well and no issues with postcode search.

Car purchased some quick queries.
Welcome @Sload that is a MIB1 Columbus so as mentioned no smartlink but maps are on the unit so no faffing with SDs in the Glovebox for maps. If you do a search on here or go to the Skoda update portal and pop in your vin you will be able to update the maps, just need to download the update (unzipped) to an SD or usb drive. There is a newer software version as well but that's a bit more involved, to correctly update it and show no errors you need to update a coding parameter with VCDS or similar. Unless experiencing some issues probably better leaving that. Missing phone holder I wouldn't worry about, the one that comes with a 2014 doesn't really fit many modern phones in it anyway, a newer one was released with the facelift that does.

Excessive tire wear
Honesty it was daft, literally read the Skoda site t's and C's to them and they were still persistent. Back to OP, sounds like you need a wheel alignment, preferably hunter as other posters have noted. My backs have usually only worn down to about 4-5mm by the time the fronts are due. Rotate them so they go onto the front then. Edit* - just seen the response below, I think that pretty much confirms that is your issue and I'd be surprised if that hasn't sorted it.

Excessive tire wear
How much did they charge? My limited dealings with them suggests they will charge an arm and a leg for even routine stuff, making up their own terms as they go along. I don't use them anymore but I remember them trying to charge me nearly double the listed Skoda price for a basic service because it is a VRS.

MK3 Octavia vs Mk4 Octavia
We arguably don't a lot of stuff on modern cars, but it helps make the overall experience better. Just because you are the only person that drives your car, doesn't mean others don't have multiple family members driving theirs. Account settings can be saved and remembered for different users without having to change them and the main driver having to change them back. Electric seats generally have greater levels of adjustment and you can have memory settings, different settings for different drivers and comfort access where the seat moves to make it easier to get in and out. Again not "needed" but nicer having it than not. I'm sure folk thought at one point they didn't need anything more than their horse and cart.

My 2019 Sportline plus modifications thread
Wheels look great, very RS6 vibe about it.

New VRS Owner
Great choice, awesome colour!

MK3 Octavia vs Mk4 Octavia
No rush to get rid of my Octavia which is still proving reliable and does everything I need. If I switch it will more likely be a Superb Sportline or a BMW 3/5 series touring.

One touch Windows
Is your car battery on its way out? Do you ever get low battery warnings? I had an issue with my one touch stopping working every time my battery got low. No issues with the car starting up, but had to do the reset on each window constantly. Since replacing the battery I've not had to do this once.

2017 280 sportline
Looks great! 280s aren't especially common on the used market anyway, getting one with a good spec is a bonus!

Airbox Screws
Yes it was WHT002087 as mentioned earlier in my OP. Couldn't find a part number for the torx head ones, nor could the parts guy I use. They only seem to want to sell a full airbox. I did debate buying a 2nd hand airbox from a breaker with screws and probably wasn't that much more expensive.

Airbox Screws
Purchased the ones mentioned in my original post and by @TheClient and they are perfect. Exactly the same bar the screw head. Thanks for the input. Approx £2 each from a parts dealer in case anyone comes across this and needs some too.

Skoda vRS seat options
How is it that the SE L got better seats than the VRS? Saw an SE L for sale which had fairly sporty Seats for a non sporty model, with what appears to be leather and alcantara.

Airbox Screws
The inside of the heads had already started to disintegrate when turning my screwdriver, assumed replacement would be the best option and screws shouldn't be expensive. Thanks, might just swap them for the identical ones with the Philips head then

Airbox Screws
Afternoon all, hope you are having a good Easter. Does anyone know the correct part number for the air filter box screws? EA888 2.0 TSI in case the other air filter boxes are different. Changed my air filter earlier and a couple of the screw heads are a bit rusty. I've found WHT002087 which looks to be the right screw but the wrong head - standard ones are a torx not posi head. Worst case could use these but would prefer the correct torx head ones. Any help appreciated. Cheers

Subwoofer location in Estate -- thoughts?
The centre dash speaker in Canton is not for bass and it's also a rather small speaker. Assuming you could even find something to fit that location, it would be a terrible place to put a bass speaker. The canton sub is in its own enclosure and located in the boot to the side, which works very well.

Are those xenon or not?
They look like the Xenon headlamps to me. Does the car have a levelling adjuster dial near the headlight switch or does it have a blanking plate? Xenons are self levelling so has a blanking plate in place of the halogens levelling adjuster dial.

I love my VRS so much - that I brought another VRS
What was it about the outgoing VRS that made you decide it was "just not for us"?
