Mamba Green VRS on configurator
Looks quite smart!

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
How are you finding road and wind noise between the two? I've been in B9 A4s and they seem a lot more hushed inside than my MK3, even the 2.0 TDI was pretty quiet. Not driven a MK4 yet to compare.

High fuel consumption after servicing.
Another +1 couldn't find the thread from a search though

Oil service
Mine is going into the dealership next week for an oil service. I was quoted about £130. I can't imagine an independent will charge much less given it takes nearly 6 litres of oil, plus labour, overheads and vat etc.

Skoda vRS seat options
It's less of an issue because it's virtually all leather (or fake leather) everywhere (seat backs, rear centre seat base/armrest etc) apart from the centre bit which you sit on. The kids are still young enough to be in car seats so the non easy wipe bits are covered whilst the bits they touch or spill on wipe down like new in seconds. LOL. I could only wish...

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus Facelift
Love it! Looks great. Look forward to future updates on this one

Skoda vRS seat options
Cloth only seats is a big issue for me. I have 2 young kids and being able to wipe down both the back seats plus their feet marks on the back of the front seats from my MK3 leather is great. The idea of buying a 30k car and having to put covers everywhere seems crazy and not one I'd entertain. Hopefully a leather option or half leather at least is coming soon, or the MK4 vrs is off the cards for my next car in the next 3-6 months.

Colour you would like but can't have.
Rallye Green or Dragon Green. Something similar to BMW's Sunset Orange would look fantastic.

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus
Looks fantastic! Best colour and DG seems to be quite rare on facelifts so far. Think you've made a great choice there and the other one clearly wasn't meant to be so you could get this instead.

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus
Posted in the Octavia thread but congrats, especially on the colour which is fantastic! Let the retrofits begin...!

Sasha’s Octavia vRS
Wow you finally did it!!! Congrats on the new car and thanks for all the inspiration and advice for our Octavias. I still fancy a Superb Sportline next so I will be following the next thread with similar interest

Getting rid of the Superb, what next...
Lovely cars the new 3 series. 330i seems to be an excellent balance of economy and performance too. Be a cracking car that and hopefully one you have better luck with.

New Skoda owner
Welcome! VRS looks great in Race Blue. Agree it doesn't seem that common, most dealer stock ones seem to be flat grey, dark grey, white or black.

Lane Assist on pre face-lift, does it work?
It works very well on my 63 plate. You should have the symbol lit orange on the cluster if it's turned on but not active. If I recall there are two settings relating to lane assist and both need to be on to get the full assistance/correction.

Canton. The age old debate.🤪
If it's nowhere near as good as your MK3 then that sounds like perfect justification. Couldn't imagine spending 2-4 times what my current VRS is worth and ending up with a worse sound system.

OBDeleven Long Coding options disagree with physical configuration? (I know, I should just step AWAY from the toys...)
If stuff is working then it seems like a bad idea to change the coding to what you think it should be. Isn't some of the stuff set by adaptations rather than long coding, so whilst something might not be set there, there may be an adaptation on that module where it is set instead.

Grill Stripes
It's a no from me. As above the VRS colours no longer seem to be green and red but just red so I'm not sure it works.

Where are all the used vRS 245s?
Dealer prices include dealer perks which you don't get if buying your car at the end of a lease or buying privately. They aren't really comparable. Approved used warranty, roadside assistance, A comeback if there is a fundamental fault with the car. Easy finance etc.

LED (AFS) headlights condensation on Octavia III facelift
That looks pretty excessive and I'd be looking at pushing for warranty replacements. Assume your facelift is still under warranty?
-
Estate boot struts - are yours weak?
My hatch needs a bit more of a nudge to lift the boot rather than the struts doing it by themselves. Not sure if the cold weather makes it worse?

2014 VRS TSI Estate: Quantum Red Remap to 310bhp?
This. If anything more manufacturers are making them now, but more crucially, people are actually buying new petrols in greater numbers. This same question again will be different in a few years time where the 3-5 year old used market will be less skewed towards diesels. 2014 was part of an era where high CO2 emitting petrols were shunned for diesels. Company car buyers and private buyers both benefitted from low CO2 taxation/BIK on diesels then.

Hello from VRS Octavia Mklll New Owner
Remapped ones are known to be harsher on the manuals than DSGs so it seems to tie in. The proper Skoda rubber mats are excellent this time of year. As is the rubber boot mat liner.

Hello from VRS Octavia Mklll New Owner
Hello and welcome! Saw your posts on piston heads as well, looks like a great car! There is a wealth of info in the MK3 Octavia section, if you haven't already had a good browse prior to purchasing What's the spec like?

Are all standard VAG stereos this bad?
Weirdly I've actually had very good results with Amazon Music HD streamed over Bluetooth. Source wise it's lossless and close to cd quality I believe, not sure how much it is compressed etc. from the Bluetooth streaming but it sounded fantastic. Excellent sound at close to max volume with no perceptible distortion.
