  1. Rims and hight look spot on with set of the right spacers to bring the rims out to fill the arches would realy make it pop especially on the rear..
  2. If the insurence road fund duty etc are the same or simelar.... I would say the 2lt as it will be under less stress during the same driving conditions.. Just my opinion...
  3. I use copper slip all the time I love the stuff ,however I never use it alluminium surfaces.Copper reacts with aluminium its something I was taught early on in my coach building appreniceship... I have found freeing siezed alloy calipers and alloy bells for brake discs a large amount of baked copper slip........
  4. Pointless unesicerily bulking up a thread which subject matter is not regarding grammer nor spelling.......... Good point, only use copper slip if the material is NOT alluminuim..

  6. Its the feathered lip below the bead, sealed inside the rim not exposed...

  8. Look at the image its EOP the only thing that part of the tyre does is prevent gas transfer,if it leeks reseat the bead with a suitable sealent..
  9. @Awesam Are you capable of changing the cam box gasket?? The heat range plugs have been fine until now,just change the gasket and go from there..

  12. Ive never read such complete rubish. The damage is in the feather zone of the bead which at worse would create a slight slow if not fitted with sealant... Id fit and run that.. The reason why national centres wont fir used tyres is because they want to sell you new ones...
  13. Yep all the new generation VAG have bolt in hub bearings, Still not an easy job without a ramp but no bearing press required.. Amateur spanner monkey should be done inside an hour.. If you have alloy hubs dont use copper slip to rebuild as copper and alloy corode like no tomorrow..

  18. Traditionally the switched live would pick up off the switched live for the radio and you could pick up a signal from any speaker wire providing the amp has that feature... Your main live should come direct from batery or the bus bar on the distribution box and the earth as short as possible...

  21. just because they have been in buisness for five decades doesnt make them good.... They inspected your issue and completeley missed completley scrap discs?? Are you mad?? you forked out for for tyres and four discs and pads before approaching the garage you origonally purchased the vehicle??? [removed] Dereck slack should be suing your arse for defimition of cractor?? your family at danger?? Im telling you now the state of them discs would of been so obvious at test drive its totally incomprihensible your bull **** story holds water ... [removed]
