New car.
It's the choice of tyres factory fit. To get a better WLTP emissions rating (at test temperature) they fit Eco summer tyres as standard. Unfortunately these tend to be poor in wet below about +10c. On my car (not a Karoq) with 1 litre DSG managed to spin wheels pulling out of side turnings when cold and damp (in normal, not sport mode). Bought a set of winter wheels and tyres which I use early November to late April, never been able to spin wheels since. Trust me, car will be lot more fun with good winter tyres when temperature is below about 15c in wet or 10c in dry.

Delivery times?
Vessel finder is showing 3 vehicles carriers arriving today (Sunday 23rd April) at Emden: Heritage Leader, Lake Taupo, Malacca Highway, then no more vehicles ships until San Martin in May. It is very odd that 3 ships are arriving together. Although cars will have been sorted on dockside by destination and formed in lines, will not be able to load them all together. It usually works that teams drive about 15 cars with minibus following them, all drivers jump in minibus go back for more. No idea how many teams there are at Emden. From memory loading is typically around 600-800 cars every hour (might be mixing up with somewhere else) Heritage leader can take 38,000tons of cargo, so probably something like 20,000 cars, other two are smaller. Don't know where each is heading as I do not subscribe, but when they depart will be able to check their destinations

Delivery times?
The problem with choosing to go to a leasing company is they have no direct link to Skoda, they still get supplied by a dealer. So you are even more detached. You can ask them, if they can be bothered they will ask the dealer, who may or may not spend some time checking etc. But even if do get an answer you don't really know if it was looked into thoroughly or someone just guessed to close the query. You haven't indicated your engine, spec and any options, some cars seem to be coming through 6-9 months, but others especially PHEVs nearer 18-24 months. Even those being built are getting stuck, some are missing few parts so being stored until missing bits can be added. Also seems to be a lack of ships from Emden, Germany. And recently have been rail strikes in Germany too, so might not even have completed rail journey to the port. In many ways the current system is lot worse than 20-30 years ago when you walked into your local Skoda dealer, chose a car in showroom or compound, and were driving it 2 days latter. Might have more choice now, but gained a huge lottery of when might get it. I preferred 2 days to sometime in next 2 years.

Torn between skoda kamiq monte carlo and sel executive
Is obvious from Optional Equipment tables in brochure https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/b608c280-45cc-4c76-a6a4-e809cb548038 Monte Carlo doesn't get (but SEL exec does) Crome roof rails and chrome window surrounds Electrically folding mirrors Heated front seats and heated washer nozzles Dual zone climate control keyless start stop front and rear parking sensors rear view camera

Space saver on 4WD
In an ideal world the temporary wheel would be just to get you a few miles to a tyre depot at low speed so wouldn't really matter which wheel it is on. In poor weather tends to be easier to handle the car if it is on the back (not that you should be driving enthusiastically with a space saver). In recent years, Skoda UK has fitted many cars with obscure tyre sizes, rather than common sizes, so inevitably a replacement has to be ordered as not stocked, so instead of being used for a hour, people spend days driving around with space saver on which is less than ideal. So then ideally need to switch space saver to back if needing to use car whilst waiting for a tyre to come from a warehouse somewhere.

Karoq replacement key options?
On a new Karoq there is option listed (in driver assistance) to have a third key, it is £40 https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/c63f4efb-a760-4a48-931f-baad88d42aa6 So basically they are charging a fortune for a copy to be made up and reprogramming it. Realistically either ask the seller for second key, ask them to split the cost of getting it, or try ringing a few different dealers for a better price.

Delivery times?
There are 2 main factors. 1) Specification and Options fitted. Some parts are in limited supply as didn't secure enough capacity from suppliers factories. The specs are also different in some countries, so if your country has a part as standard then more likely to be affected. 2) The quota system. Every country and dealer has sales targets for each model, and quotas exist to spread allocation and stop individual dealers ordering lots of production, and thus blocking others. Sales teams rarely tell you, but if they have reached their quota then your order probably won't be accepted by factory until they reach a month with open quota. The other main factor is iV hybrid models (now withdrawn from sale) are months behind (seems to be nearer 18-24 months) Leasing firms get their cars supplied through a dealer, and due to squeeze on production capacity, that dealer might only be getting say 2 cars a month, which isn't great if they took 15 lease orders. There are also rumours (not confirmed) that trying to deliver highest spec with most options as these are most profitable cars, which obviously clashes with shortage of expensive option parts. Leased cars are often for businesses so tend to be lower specifications

1.5TSI or 2.0TSI?
A lot of that is due to Eco summer tyres fitted when new, whose grip falls off rapidly below about +10c in the wet or damp. I spun them few times pulling out of junctions with 1 litre DSG (in drive, not sport). I now use a set of winter tyres early Nov to late April, and never been able to spin them since.
-
1.5TSI or 2.0TSI?
All tsi engines work well with DSG gearboxes, but they can be hard work as they rev freely but don't pull well from very low revs, so have to change down yourself quite often if you opt for manual. You can no longer buy a UK Superb or Kodiaq with a manual gearbox, perhaps they should have discontinued manual on Karoq too.
-
How long should repairs take?
If you have not had access to it for 3 months, not unreasonable to ask them to extend factory warranty for 3 months. As an alternative let them fund a 2 year all-in-one package to cover extra months. If they didn't have spare parts in stock, they should have been bit more careful and not parked it where it could get damaged. Work on assumption that if you don't ask, you won't get.

Is a Price Raise Imminent?
Prices went up 4th April, and finance offers were changed on same date Skoda tend to only change prices and offers on quarterly basis, and normally the prices stay same for a year. Unfortunately Skoda UK prices are now lot more than buying same car in Poland or Germany. Seem to be treating UK consumers as gullible, so if don't approve of it, vote with your feet and go elsewhere
-
1.5TSI or 2.0TSI?
Depends on how you drive, most of the extra power is nearer top of rev range, so if you're the kind of person who rarely does more than say 4000 revs not really going to notice it very often. But UK spec means to get 2 litre get the 4x4 system which adds dead weight (think of it like carrying few sacks of cement around) which wouldn't do if you wanted to drive a sports car. Also now need to watch the £40k extra Vehicle excise duty threshold, so unless you voluntarily like paying extra tax for 5 years, might not be best option. Anyone worried about grip would be better buying a set of rims and winter tyres, about half the price of upgrading to 4x4 system, and lot more effective. Lots of wheels to choose from https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/639a0118-4da5-446b-a786-86e1f789b57b

Octavia 3.5, will 235/45/18 tyres fit?
Don't know what an Octavia 3.5 is For Mk 3 the 18inch sizes were 225/40 on 7.5J with ET51 or scout (with raised clearance) used 225/45 on 7.5J with ET46 For mk4 the 18 inch is 225/45 on 7.5J with ET45 I think you would struggle to get snow chains on 235/45 R18 without rubbing There are plenty of wheels for Octavia III (3) and IV (4) https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/639a0118-4da5-446b-a786-86e1f789b57b

Karoq Current Delivery Lead Time - 8-10 Weeks Dealer Optimism?
You can always test the dealer by saying something like extra £200 off price per week from 11th week, but of course you won't mind as not expecting it that late. Then see what their reaction is, or if they back peddle on delivery date estimate. After a long pause ask them why they misled you (if they did)

1.5e-Tec info please
Here is the launch info when e-tec was being introduced, it will answer some of your questions on what it does https://www.skoda.co.uk/news/details/efficient-new-e-tec-models-introduce-mild-hybrid-technology-to-new-octavia-range Doesn't say much that 2.5 years later, salesman hasn't heard of it. Clearly needs to read up on what he is selling

Buying a new Fabia on PCP right to withdraw
You would still pay the interest for few days if under 14 days, but zero exit fee. After that as an example could be hit with say an extra months interest to exit, or an admin fee etc, basically anything it says to settle early

Tow Bar Preparation (again - sorry.)
There is a tow bar in the accessories brochure (it is under the photo), for those with tow bar prep. https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/d0ba0841-dcb0-462f-9c23-21fe72de6185 Oddly although Karoq only has one option, if you look at Scala accessories brochure, there are 4 options, for cars with and without serial preparation, fixed and folding versions. No idea why varies by models. https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/8647599d-f1fa-45ee-a208-9f8051d1a282

New UK brochure and prices Karoq April 2023
A new UK brochure and prices has been released April 2023 Prices now £27,470 - 40,185 (before adding options) Just 3 spec levels for Karoq with 7 manual and 8 DSG versions https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/c63f4efb-a760-4a48-931f-baad88d42aa6 Cars with list price including added options (but excluding any discounts) over £40,000 incur an extra £390 per year car tax fee for 5 years. Here is link to accessories brochure, anything that is in it can be invoiced as separate transaction (even if fitted by dealer before delivery) if need to keep car under the £40k extra tax threshold https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/d0ba0841-dcb0-462f-9c23-21fe72de6185

New UK brochure April 2023
As the extra £390 car tax for 5 years is based on list price over £40,000 (including options), and not any discounted price you pay, would be very easy to add couple of options and breach the £40,000 list price. Although anything that is in the accessories brochure can be done as a separately invoiced transaction (even if dealer fits it before delivery) to help keep it below the £40k extra tax.

A/C not working
When you say you turned it to low, do you mean the fan speed, or the temperature. Or are you saying you had previously turned it off, and not used the a/c dryer to help demisting. If you leave it off for months, tends to go wrong (bits can seize), or seals dry out then leak, and will cost lot more to fix, than having left it on and used a few pounds of extra fuel.
