DCC Slider adjustment option mod
dieselyeti replied to Frankenfurter's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Further feedback for anyone thinking about this mod. Post mod is exactly how it should come from factory. Suspension is much more controlled with added rebound and compression. No longer blowing through its stroke in normal mode then wallowing in its recovery. Comfort is still cloud like and sport++ is ramped up but not harsh. Totally recommended and thanks to Julian and Blair for the support making it a painless experience. 👌 -
DCC Slider adjustment option mod
dieselyeti replied to Frankenfurter's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Just bought a 2022 Superb and would love to reduce the floaty, sometimes boat like oscillations after hitting a bump. Who do I get it touch with in Aus to do this DCC mod? -
Mine did exactly the same thing, just stopped working with no errors or visible faults. I dropped the oil from the haldex and removed the filter which was covered in a grey paste like substance which I'm guessing was very fine metal shavings mixed with the oil (if you wet sharpen a knife it leaves a similar substance). I just cleaned the filter and filled up with fresh oil and it has been perfect for the last 40000klms. I about to the same oil change this week along with the DSG, the little Yeti just keeps on trucking ....great little car.

Mine kept dropping and after continual topups and going through about a litre of coolant I figured I'd investigate. Turned out the water pump seal was leaking so that got replaced and all has been good since.

The off road button has nothing to do with what you mentioned. It is for descending steep slippery slopes and controls the speed individually braking each wheel.

Mate, you respond with a crappy know it all attitude that quite frankly stinks. You offer no explanation on why you are such a wealth of knowledge on car speakers or why the Yeti has the best possible speakers supplied as OEM and cannot be bettered with any amount of $$. The way forward involves one of two ways. You explaining some facts about the speakers and/or your knowledge/experience with audio or saying nothing and moving on. And finally, yes I did think about my suggestion....quite awesome isn't it

Thanks to the members that actually answered the OP's query. This forum is friendly and there is quite a bit of good info but one of my pet hates about the forum is how a lot of members fail to answer people's questions if it means it's outside their comfort (beige) zone. The speakers are fine, how could you possibly think you could buy better.....OMG you want to put 18" wheels on your car......why would you put xyz on your car,oem is so much better etc etc I'm just putting it out there for all the negative nancy's to take a breath before posting, maybe put your slippers on and go make a cup of tea and you'll soon realise that good things come from making mistakes and even greater things come from trying something new.

Mine did the same thing at about 80000klms. New water pump fixed it....deciding to do the timing belt as well pushed the repair bill up a little more.

I'm only interested in changing out the front seats, the rears are great for their adaptability. Given VAG's propensity to reuse parts from the parts catalogue, ideally the chosen replacement seats would be plug and play. I'll start researching the seats in the new year, maybe I'll get lucky.

Update. I now have access to the service manuals. If you do decide to pay for the download set aside some quiet time for when the download is complete. I think part of my problem was having too many other things going on at once and not focusing on the task at hand.... In short, read the instructions and if in doubt email them as they respond quite quickly to fill in the blanks. It is a convoluted method of delivery but I guess it does eventually deliver. Merry Christmas ;-)

I contacted the supplier of the manual...turns out you need to be able to read German so you can follow the German words to change the language to English. The file for the Yeti was 9GB and came through in .rar format. I have to download their recommended free downloader then use their recommended 7zip.com unzipper file and then use a VM player which went onto some other virtual type server which opened the file in what looked like a Windows XP screen/database......then change it to English. The initial links they sent thru have expired. For me this is too much messing around so I've requested a refund if they can't just let me download it to a disc or USB.

Has anyone changed their front seats to something a little more supportive? The standard seats are ok but I'm noticing a fair bit of wear on the driver seat on the lower part of the back rest and it got me thinking of changing them. Golf GTi seats would be nice, anyone know if they fit?
-
Yes I read that too hence why I downloaded it. There didn't appear to be an obvious way to change the language. I expected to get the information and be able to save to a disc or usb but to view it you must use a virtual program which for me is complicating something that should be very simple.....the german language was the nail in the coffin

F$&king painful experience this was. After eventually getting it to download and work with windows 10 it turns out it is in German....not helpful.
