No problems, but not really any point either though, is there?

As far as I know, the only filter to have given proven gains is the itg maxogen kit.

Brighter bulbs - Do they work?
larsberg replied to SPINESHANK's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/259199-changing-front-bulbs/ It's worth it imo, it does improve lighting and it's a pretty cheap fix. -
Lol I hear ya. Most of the time when I go out to my favourite roads I quickly end up behond someone who feels it's necessary to slow down to 3/4 or 1/2 of speed limit to go around a bend. The precious few times it doesn't happen, it's bliss. 80km/h is plenty fast enough to have fun if the roads are bendy enough.

Yeah, I hear everyone with b8/b12 loving the way it handles. Just seems like the smart thing to do when you already need to pull the front dampers off. It's alread a ****** of a job (my speculations, never changed springs on a car), bad idea to have to do it twice.

This is looking at international sites and bilsteins own catalogue, so bilstein does not list an official b12 kit for fabia 5j anymore. Might be some sellers just put a fabia 5j kit with eibach springs together themselves.
-
So I was just searching around for a set of b8 and I found that A1, Ibiza and Polo are all listed as compatible vehicles for the same front strut: 35-168577. Fabia 5j isn't, but Rapid is. Fabia 5j has got 35-052180 listed. The rear strut listed in the same b8 set as 35-168577, 24-067904 has got fabia 6y and 5j listed. Just seems weird to me that the Fabia for some reason should be the only sister car not compatible with the same front struts.. and it bothers me is that the Fabia 5j set is slightly more expensive than Polo/A1/Ibiza set :stingy:

But the braids tho Oh, they're getting refurbished, my bad.

Did you put the springs and b8 shocks in at the same time, or have you had experiences with springs only vs b8+h&r? Got a set of h&r springs, thinking hard about saving up for a set of b8 to put in while I'm at it. Wheels looking rad at that offset.

Wat I don't even understand your question. Ant-Vrs got air suspension on his vRS, check his build thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/307473-bagged-and-smooth-mk2-fabia-vrs-picvideo-heavy-now-sponsored/

True. Figured the motorsport etching around the centre cap made it more likely to be real bbs wheels as well. Seems the guy has taken the ad down now lol, think I'll just leave it be. Bad communication and little info, seems a bit shifty.

Well they obviously are bbs, but ch doesn't come in 16in. Probably a discontinued wheel.

Anyone know anything about these wheels? Kinda look like CH but are 16x7.5. Could buy them for basically nothing and refurb. Just don't know what they even are. Seller seems clueless too. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1119741054713696&set=pcb.1103588569688062&type=3&relevant_count=4

According to this series of articles, staying within very small margins of oem width, offset and total diameter is cruicial. Is this for ultra snobs and/or very small margins on the racetrack or is he right and a regular spirited daily driver should adhere to these rules? http://www.tuneruniversity.com/blog/2011/04/wheel-tech-part-ii-size-matters/ If so, no fats for me. 215/45r16 would be the only option, with a 16x7 at original offset, as not to mess up scrub radius.

What makes tyes look balloony? Too much width and soft sidewalls? This is rad: This is bad: And as you've been saying, you can't really trust the width marking on tyres right? Might be a bit of a headache finding the correct specs for each kind of tyre. Oh well, it's still idea phase. Was hoping to find some 2nd hand wheels, but lightweight 5x100s seems rare, especially in smaller sizes. Everyone is selling massive wheels or wrong bolt pattern.

Press the up button on the end of the wiper stalk for like 5 secs if you got that kind of setup
-
Also, a fat tyre would kind of balance out the weight lost by going to a 5,5kg 15" wheel wouldn't it. I don't know how much heavier fatter tyres with more sidewall would be.

Looks, style and function would be ideal, but I'd never want to sacrifice ride and function for looks. If I can find some good performance tyres like sportcontact5 or the like in a size that would give that beefy look then maybe I'll break the piggy bank for it. It's just that it rains a lot over here so tyres that are poor in the wet is a no go. I use winter tyres, it's required by law.

Yeah, was looking at norwegian stores, forgot to mention that. Mostly semi slicks with bad wet grip available over here. Looks like the situation is the same over in the uk. Feel like a c-rating for wet grip in norway is a bad idea.

Not too easy to find 245/45 or 225/50 r15 tyres. Would be a pretty expensive experiment in case it ruins handling and/or ride

How would ride be in tyres that wide though, wouldn't noise and tramlining increase?
