So, I have been to see the car - or shall I say, tested it, we had no possibility to lift it, to go under. And when I got in tutch with her, it was already evening and dark. Its the gearbox alright. She has had problems with different gears, in different periods, during about an year. Sometimes everything has worked normally for weeks, and then different gears have had problems getting in. Some periods she needed to start in second gear for ex. Now its stuck in reverse. She has a towing insurance, and a local gagare in her town, has already promised to take a look, for free. So thats what I recommended her - let them take a look and put a proper dignose on it. She also thinks rear brakes a stuck and it looks like the alternator doesnt charge properly. Small things to fix really. She has taken good care of the car those 3 years she has owned it. It can be worth changing the box.

I should have said that the owner at the time we changed the clutch was a good driver. Lives on the countryside and retired. I remember when she reversed out from our yard the first time, with our car and we talked about that. She can drive. Both my hubby and I are mechanics who can drive 😃 Both with or without clutch. We also live outside of the city and work from home, yes, small repair shop. Hubby is 74 years old and I am 53, so we work with the cars we want and when we feel for it 😃 The guy that bought the car from us - is old truck driver - he can absolutely also drive and NEVER drives like me and hubby drive - as we were hunted by cops..... Sometimes I drive without using clutch at all - just for the fun of it. So deffinetly - none of the drivers fult in this case. And yes - we can also check the clutch - usually in the third gear. If the clutch is gone and the owner wants to fix it - we will drive the car home - or hubby does. Hes the one that usually does, when we pick up those cars. Good to know about the life of the clutch. In that case - I will deffinetly recommend better quality clutch - also when the car owner does not have the money for it really. Hi We used to own a 1.6 Felicia Combi from 1996. The clutch gave up on it around 190 000 km. And was changed. I do not know if its been changed before. We sold the car and the clutch gave up again at around 250 000 km! Something around there. What are your experiences on the clutch changing periods? Now, I have a possible new customer, we havent been to see the car yet. She has a 1.6 Felicia combi MY 2001. It has 120 000 on the clock. She cannot get into gears. She talked about hard to get into some gears from the start and lastly, cannot get into gear at all. Are there different, "stronger" clutches out there? What about the gear linkage? On our MY96 it was hell to try to get it firm enough. I remember buying the linkage piece from Poland. But the material was too soft and the screw gridned the hole oval on the outer linkage piece. So we welded them together in the end. And lastly - how are the gearboxes on the 1.6 liters? If I remember correct, I have seen problems for the 1.3 gearbox???

Hi Someone know if the manual transmission in the petrol 1.3 Pickup is the same, as in some of the passenger Felicias? There is a shortage of the pick up transmissions in Sweden. A customer has just bought an other Pick up with no 3:rd gear as well as "hard to get in reverse" and it sure sounds from him, its a transmission change a head. Thank you

Yup and everything underneath is also loose and off the board. I need to order an other BCM.

No loose chips, no. Currently trying to figure out what that exploded chips name is 😃 JUST in case it could be changed.....

Soo, it was easier to drill out the 6 plastic rivets on the BCM, than try to measure on the connectors, that are so bloody short!!! Its by the way pin 43 on connector A And pin 16 on connector B Well, after taking BCM off, it smelled of explotion 😃 Here: 4 pictures of the damage. One from other side. And one of the cover that needs to drilled off - what ever for it is wellded on is beond me???? And before getting the BCM off of the car, I checked if the bulb warning light lit up without brake bulb mounted and it did.

So when I removed both position lights rear one side - the bulb warning light was lit by what? This is a MY13 Its been raining and Hans has been roaring untill now, but the sun is out at last. And I can start searching again.

I have battery voltage on pin 3 when brake pedal is depressed and 0 V when its released - so the switch is sending the voltage forworth. Brake switch connector: Pin 1 <-> ECU (guess sthis is what VCDS is interpreting) Pin 2 <-> ground shared with other components (with switch not connected I had 1.1 ohm resistans - with switch connected 4 ohm resistance) Pin 3 -> outgoing 12V to BCM Pin 43 -> BCM pin 16 -> Brake lights Pin 4 <- incoming 12 V shared with other components Although it wouldnt be the first time I missread a situation =/

No, there was no warning light with brake light bulb removed. I thought I had battery for it home, but its 74 Ah and doesnt fit. So I have the battery on charge. I will be getting new batteries. I will check the signal in and out from BCM tomorrow or next day. Thank you. It helps when I write down, and read.

Hello fellow community! Here is what has happened: Previous problem: - Brake lights stay on all the time -> Battery empty -> Owner boosts engine alive with a cheapo charger/booster (the fault code for excessive voltage in Address 17, is from that occurence) -> Next the wipers get their own life and cannot be turned off Now: No problems with wipers BUT: there are no brake lights, no voltage at left, right nor third brake lights The 5 amp fuse number 8, under steering wheel, is ok - changed it any way - and battery voltage present AND: the bulb worning indicator is not lit, not when brakes are applied, not when ignition is turned on How ever: the bulb indicator light is turned on when I removed both parking lights rear on one side - so working And: VCDS Adderss 09: Central Electrics J519 - Advanced Measuring blocks - I can see when brake pedal is operated, so the switch seems to be working at the moment at least The brake switch is mounted on the brake cylinder and I have battery voltage out from it, pressing brake pedal and 0V when brake pedal is released Ground resistance 4 ohm though at the switch connector connected and 1.1 ohm at the connector disconnected. Do I have any way to check more closely what has happened? My immediate guess was the Central electric control unit. But funny, there are no fault codes. Switch? But no EPC light. Thank you! Our car (we got it free) has no central locking. There was a fuse in place, as well as a battery in the key fob - thats why I resarched further. But no relay behind the meter house. Funny, We own also a Felicia from 1996 and that car has central locks! No power steering though.....

Hi Does anyone know where the factory, original, central locking module is located? Part number: 6U0 962 258 C None of our central locks work. No from the door locks, nore from the fob. Thanks!

A part number could be a help. I have 2015 Superb with fault code C108E - position sensor right hand Swivel module. I dont understand what you mean by "surgery is not pretty"?? Something wrong with your headlight as well??

No, I have checked - and I wouldnt be able to activate with computer (VCDS) if there was.

True... Really strange this is. Would the plus and minus battery connector trick, do anything with the BCM?

Engine code: CCSA Perhaps take off all the connectors from it would do it?

I will try to reset the BCM by removing the fuse number 3 in fuce box SB, in engine compartment. I remeber a Renault C4 from 2014 acting up with the drivers side window. The control unit was integrated with the window motor. After I have pulled off the connector and attached it again during my search for the root of the problem - everything worked as it should again.

I did that when I changed ignition switch.... It took about half an hour. Would it be an idea to disconnect both connections to the starter battery and attach them together? To reset BCM. I clicked on the Long Coding Helper but didnt understand more... =P

- Yes the ignition switch is changed and the fault codes gone. - Lacense plate fault was present only because I had had the wires disconnected - so those are gone as well - 00323 - Vehicle Inclination Sensor (G384) is for the alarm - thats still there, after every central locking of the doors - not otherwise and the lever doesnt work no matter if the faultcode is present or not. Looking at the wiring diagram for it - perhaps its the fuse, Ill check it out when she comes back tomorrow. Fuse SC35. Yes - thats correct wiring, and yes sooo very simple. The only place we cannot follow the signalwires - is inside the steering column module J519. What about the "long coding"? I dont even know what that is for?

The rear boot is shown closed...... This is making me MAD!
