  1. Exactly what I did with mine a few years ago! Its to stop you playing with certain features while the cars moving...
  2. Just googled it... Hence the after mention of get the mechanic to order as they will be able to use their system to find the correct one.
  3. From reading around on here its a under car job to replace but it seems fairly simple. I would estimate 30-1 hours labour minimum but I am no mechanic. - Sensor at around £120 and labour @ £100 ish, I would expect a bill of around £200-250! BUT get the battery checked before you sink money into the sensor as it could well be the battery on its way out. My car had a tendency to throw a brake fault error when the battery started dying.
  4. 6Q1423291 is the part number for the steering angle sensor (G250) Here is a link to the sensor (but get a garage to order as they will be able to get it cheaper probably) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Steering-Angle-Sensor-6Q1423291/174335825892?epid=22037609170&hash=item28973997e4:g:6MIAAOSwDmBeumON This link will show you where its located - https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk2/chassis/steering/electric/electronic_components_and_fitting_locations/
  5. 1.9tdi PD105... you'll be fine!!
  6. Might be worth asking this in the MkIII fabia forum part of Briskoda, I am sure someone on there who owns an estate fabia can help I did find this from a quick search. "Unlike the Mark II the middle part is held in place so you have to pull the black plastic moulding off the top and then there is a torx screw to take out to release the cover. Then it comes out very easily. "
  7. NOT WD40? - Electrical Contact Cleaner by WD40 or similar brand YES. but not the lubricating oil wd40?
  8. Do you have a white Maxi-Dot or Green basic dash?
  9. Exactly what I thought! Turbo doesn't spool until over 2krpm so wouldn't surprise me if the boost is spraying a small amount of oil into the intake. But the OP said the engine is not burning oil... a runaway would have a small sign on blue smoke out the back. I would get second opinion. My turbo just died on my 1.6tdi but it didn't cause the car to accelerate... in fact it did the complete opposite.
  10. This is the guy you need to talk to. He fitted my superb 4 spoke wheel into my fabia for me. - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/profile/47243-eddie-nl/ @Eddie-NL He will be able to help.
  11. Thats your crankcase breather. - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BREATHER-HOSE-ONE-WAY-VALVE-FOR-SKODA-FABIA-OCTAVIA-RAPID-ROOMSTER-SUPERB-YETI/324064323803?epid=19021917382&hash=item4b73bd28db:g:s00AAOSwv9JeOrOp Part number. - OEN 030 103 175B
  12. First off have you had the Emissions Update? Because if you have you've got 2 years warranty on Emissions parts... the glow plug would indicate DPF, or EGR issues? My glow plug light was triggered by a DPF pressure sensor. Best to get a second opinion from another garage, preferable a VW specialist.
