It try chucking it up onto Photo bucket as that is quite forgiving of file formats. If you had to describe the sound how would you? Is it a solid rattle, hollow rattle etc etc. If you can get the file up that would help. Unfortunately I suspect a VW dealership would struggle to properly diagnose an unusual rattle, as unfortunately most dealership mechanics are not broadly enough experienced for issues like this. Experience would tell me to take it to a backstreet taxi mechanic (you driving of course) and ask them to diagnose... as they will have seen/heard it all

Made by Tata I seem to recall.

Want a car that corners like a go-kart... don't look at a Corsa haha haha... though they were on my list, My wife and I have had 10+ corsa fleet cars (BSM). you have to look at Lotus cars for that.

However an investment in the PiD will offer all but the DAB functionality of aftermarket headunits... It also offers much more in the way of driver information (temp, water temp, mpg data, environmental data, fuel usage tables etc.) If you could retro-fit the Maps&More PiD unit to my Octavia II I would feel like the cat that got the cream.

And for a start... The production cost of the body and that electro-mechanical rear spoiler will not come cheap.

But if the GT86 pricing is anything to go by (was targeted at £16k originally and that married up with the US listings, but was never going to be), then I wouldn't be surprised at a £38min pricetag for the new Supra.

Yep the Z22SE shared with the Vectra. 0-62 in a shad over 5 seconds. But with a small amount of fettling (163bhp) could sneak under 5, or for a couple of grand dive under 4 (260bhp-400bhp Supercharged). 147bhp and 930kg made for fun. Nothing I have ever driven has been as communicative. That includes a few Lambos and Astons.

If you install the maxidot display, does it automatically enable the 'which door is open feature'... Also what other features does it pull through. Wasn't that fussed, but with a wife that never shuts the boot properly and a tiny tot that can now reach the door handles, it maybe a prudent investment.

Only Skoda dealers in know in Yorkshire are Bicker-ing and most likely Mr Keith

Boots are utter c's to their suppliers, but no one batts an eyelid. Why should we do the same with Tesco. Sainsburys tend to be better than the rest, but even so they aren't angels.

Octavia 2 warning light problem

No chance it is the brake fluid warning light? -
Subwoofer, is it worth it?
mangham54 replied to fabiamk2SE's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
Unless you really get it right, all a sub will do is bloat the bottom end. A car is not a suitable envornment for low frequencies as there are far too many trim panels that will resonate at frequencies between 40 and 300Hz. Unless you have glued / HD Velco'd or DynaMat'd every panel in the car (and exterior trim) then you will just get a lot of 'tizz' -ing. Just my opinion. -

If it already sounds good then don't bother. And don't forget it is a car, not a nightclub. -
Depends on the tyres, but you most you can at least rotate front and rear. If their non-direction assymetric tyres, without specific 'outside' face then it should be no issue. If the tyres says "outside" then you will bump into bigger issues.

To be honest I am just going to leave it for now and have it done when I start to consider selling the car... As it has no effect on how the car drives, and you have to look for it to see it. Have bigger fish to fry right now. (Thankfully nothing to do with the car). -
Been offered £3k off any deal I strike on a new VW (having bought the Polo in April 15). £1250 deposit cont + £750 JCT600 loyalty + £1000 VW loyalty. I have to go in a strike a deal, then hand over the voucher for a further £3k off the deal. Pity that I cannot justify it... Otherwise my old man's 63plate Passat would become a '16' plate Passat R.

best 2ltr diesel engine, ?
mangham54 replied to skippy41's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
If going for the 2ltr PD I was of the impression that the non DPF BKD 140 was the better lump. Not sure how correct, but that is what I had been advised. -

Update (should anyone give a damn)... Had 4 tyres fitted to the car (Dunlop Sport BluResponse) and they have transformed the car. Finally polished the tailpipes (3 months / almost 5k miles in) But handwashing it for the first time has made me spot this... Gutted! Also really the first time I have properly seen it in the daylight. Not sure if I missed that when buying it, or have managed to do it without knowing. Pics inbound -
How much and is this a straight swap for a Stream MP3? Looking at options, between New HU or a Parrot Asteroid.
