  1. I don't recall where I suggested to get a replacement but eBay would be my first place to check or if your OK with a soldering iron you might be able to replace the surface mounted LED's again source them from eBay
  2. Currently watching a episode of "The Professionals" (s1 ep6) and the baddies escaping in one of the first aircraft I worked on as an apprentice G-BEMX another one that I help put on the UK register was one for VW, it did Mon~Fri night flights over to Germany to pick up urgent spares
  3. Found this in the structural repair manual, the area I've ringed in red is the gearlever opening for reference and the red hatched is the B X member
  4. I can't find anything definite but I would go with the floor crossmember from the B pillar ?
  5. The Entrance Plate, is the plastic trim over the door sill area * Torque is 9Nm
  6. My own stupidity, I was working on my Treg that has a totally flat battery (it's not run since Dec 21) I hooked up my NOCO GB70 jumpstart pack so that I could power up the system and open the rear doors to get my tools out but nothing, ended up having to reach over the drivers seat to pull the kit out, after a few beers tonight decided to read the NOCO owners manual and there is a safety feature that if it doesn't sense at least 2v from the battery it will not provide power, however there is an override by pressing the ! button for more than 3 seconds it will then supply power and I confirmed that it works with a multimeter, at least tomorrow I will be able to get my kit out without rupturing my back again.
  7. Oil temp at least 30c remove LT connector from coil pack 10~15 Bar New 7 Bar lower limit 3 Bar Max Diff between cylinders
  8. I used this https://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-and-body-repair/adhesives/loctite-rear-view-mirror-adhesive-kit-464404.html when I replaced the mirror in my Ibiza
  9. @DieselMonte looks like it is a belt https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/timing-belt-set-10505/subaru/justy/justy-i-kad/4409-1000
  10. The camshaft drive if belt driven would also be top of the list to be replaced ?
  11. Yes before it was more of a Gentleman's agreement and not up for inspection by the FIA but Ferrari have historically been the biggest cheaters over the years and probably are still just they can employ better accountants
  12. Considering Ferrari have for years diverted some of their R&D costs into the production cars and have not been penalised
  13. https://bigwhitebox.co.uk/product/thirlemere-cordless-kettle-1-2l-green/ that's what I use in my caravan
  14. Phone your local stealership parts department and give them the reg plate or VIN and they will be able to give you the paint code
  15. The two Black/Blue wires on pins 5&7 in the OEM Black connector they need to go to your pin A-4 & the Brown/Red wire on Pin 4 of the OEM Black connector needs to go to your pin A-7, Pin A-5 will be the switched output required to switch on your remote sub
  16. There should be two Black/Blue wires on pins 5 & 7 of the Black connector that are fed from fuse #45 and that's a permanent supply
  17. It's the K line diagnostic wire, and on some aftermarket radios if it's left connected it can cause problems
  18. I would love to see JP win one last race
  19. There is no Remote output on the OEM setup, if it's for the 2006 in your profile ? there is a +12v input anytime the key is in the ignition and that's the thin Brown/Red wire on pin 4 of the black connector. One other thing to ensure the replacement radio doesn't cause problems with the cars diagnostic system is make sure the Grey/White wire on pin 3 of the Black connector is not connected to the replacement radio's wiring
  20. Looking at this https://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/old-interfaces/uC.php looks like it should work
  21. This is my take on your questions. 1: I'll be fitting https://www.mtecbrakes.com/ discs on my Touareg when they are due, had them on a few cars and the quality exceeded OEM discs 2: I've got a full VCDS Hex-V2 setup that I know will work, the OBD Eleven you might need the Pro version ? or have to buy credits to get it to do the job ? 3: The chances are they are going to be the same sort of bolts used on the newer VAG models and that will be the Triple Square or XZN like these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265778352338 4: The fronts will be as any other car, the rears once the handbrake system has been retracted should be a simple pad change ( the rears on my Treg are a pain as the parking brake is an internal drum arrangement setup that needs VCDS to set up the air gaps between the shoes and the the drum)
  22. Well the hampster that has been quite happily turning my electric meter wheel for years has been replaced by Usain Bolt according my smart meter readout for yesterday
