  1. Here you go... clicky ...was looking for a new set of wheels after mine self-destructed on me over the weekend.
  2. I've got a dhb one from wiggle. As mentioned above they're on sale at the mo, think around £40, which IMHO is a bargain It big enough to get the bike and wheels in, with only taking the wheels off (pedals, bars etc stay attached). dhb ones are bigger than 'regular' ones. Plus extremely well made. Bought mine to use on the back seats of the fabia, saves vacuuming it out when I get home as it keeps all the mud / grease / water contained within.
  3. But mine doesn't. Its clear when I get in, but turning on the AC on mists the windows up. Its as if the AC unit is storing moisture.
  4. You wanna what with who now? The drainage holes beneath the windscreen, when drain into the engine bay? If so yes they're clear. I'm gonna try leaving it in the 'feet' position until its upto temp and then divert it to the screen. As it only seems to be the first few minutes where the vents deposit moist air into the car.
  5. yeh the code is stamped on the engine, think its hidden by the gearbox and is not really accessible. Best bet is too look at the registration document, or the sticker under the boot carpet. Post 2005/6 will be BLT
  6. Thanks for all of your responses! So I've gotta now clean the inside of my car as well as the outside Think I might try some of the anti-mist-liquid that motorcyclist use inside their visors. I've tried using the recirc air button, but I get bored easily and end up switching between the two which can't help matters. Maybe I should try leaving it on feet only until its blowing out hot air... THANKS!
  7. That is pretty poor. Its winter diesel at the moment which reduces the economy, equally its colder so the engine is over fueling before its up to temperature. However once up to temp the economy should actually increase as the air is more dense. Why are leaving the car to idle for 10 mins before driving off? Who done your remap? Might be worth seeing if people with the same map have the same problem
  8. Every morning whenever its cold I get into my car, start the engine, switch on the heating and I'm off, well actually I'm not, because in the time its taken for me to plug the seatbelt in the windscreen is coating in mist / steam. I don't think its the usual water leak problem, the carpets and mats are dry, and the windows are clear before I switch the heating on. It seems that the air-con unit is saving the damp air to deposit it on my windscreen as soon as I switch the heating on. I do about 20 miles each way to work a day, with the aircon button pushed on (even through I know its disconnected below a certain temp.) Is it worth switching it off? (the pollen filter is about 13k old - so it should be okay) Thanks.
  9. Woohoo, cakes today Think I ate too many, as I don't fancy my lunch anymore - but I'm sure I'll force it down
  10. Think all of this has been covered before, but... ...the song title are not displayed on the headunit (or at least the old fabia headunit is not 'id tag' compatible - new fabia maybe?) ...you only have control over the first 5 playlists on your ipod (buttons 1-5 on HU). Button 6 plays all track on the ipod, therefore Skumseeker (nice ) use this button with 'shuffle' switched on, on the HU pros; charges ipod, some control over songs (forward, backwards, volume...), most HU functions work cons; expensive, limited ipod control, no id tags on HU sure theres more... Edit: Sumseeker: it seems I didn't read your post properly
  11. Not as far as I know, but if can make sure you post back here
  12. Halfords tosh for me too - I like the green stuff Also its seems to do a much better job than the VAG stuff. red-devil: The fanjet replaces the nozzle on a 'regular' car, instead of squirting it onto the windscreen it sprays it on (mist like).
  13. About once a week for cakes here, generally on peoples birthdays. Wish it was someones birthday today... :(
  14. Welcome! What have you bought?
  15. yep, I agree. Always spend the money on the speed camera device

    What happened to 2006... :P
  17. Nick, did you go for a generic or custom map?
  18. Also skoda covers you whilst in europe, which is certainly a deal sweetener, well than and the lower price
  19. I imagine joint cover will be cheaper from either the AA / RAC rather than two separate Skoda policies. Also you'll be covered in any vehicle. Why not look at their websites?
  20. Thats true Babs, your quote is significantly higher than AvRS', both the same age, similar diving history... must be because your from Wales :P Still I don't think your insurance is too bad if its modded.
  21. Nah, mushroom man was some guy with a fungal infection (it was only a still photo too). But if you wanna watch the video again....
  22. bet they were disappointed when they realised they could only afford a cup holder with the amount they were paid
