Hello fellow yocal Where abouts are you from?
-
As above, use Norfolkline and travel Dover to Dunkerque (not Calais) shouldn't be anymore than fourty odd pounds. Take a tent and camp along the way, but realistically do yo need to stop over on the way to Paris?
-
All of the above are wrong!
-
I'm looking forward to this I wanted a white one when I bought mine, but (as you all know ) they only do vRS's in limited colours :(
-
^ all correct! X-tremes are very good, so if the osram are equal or better, you'll be very pleased!

who's gonna be first...

Was this not a google april-fools?

AFAIK the code remains until it is cleared from ECU, even if the light has gone out. Maybe the new gasket is getting clogged with soot, so the light is coming on.
-
Just reset it with VAG-COM, rather than mess about swapping them over again. My light came on after a few hundred miles, reset it, and it was fine for 5- 6k / when I fitted the dragon box. Now it seems to come on every 2 - 300miles, it must be right on the limit of tolerances and I believe the tuning box pushes it just over the edge. Must get round to turning the EGR value down, and then hopefully all will be okay again, either that or get it remapped

Good to see that someone else uses their bike No piccys of mine

anyway of putting a vrs back to standard
*tim* replied to sween1978's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
It does seem a bit expensive. I'm currently paying just over £550 for a mapped vRS, 4/5years younger than you and have a 1/4 of the amount of no-claims, includes business miles and some other changes too. Thats with elephant who are owned by admiral  I'd leave it mapped, it seems daft to pay money to have the car flashed back to standard. How much were you paying on your VTS? -
Uh-oh :insane: Should be a good night then Thanks for your replies
-
Done and done I do like a drop of rum!

:rofl:Thanks for your reply. It seems that 'The Oracle' (what a naff name) car park isn't open 24hrs. The 'lodge is on Oxford Road, next to the A329 - right by the roundabout where the main road goes underneath - good old google maps!

I'm heading to Reading in a couple of weeks for the weekend, will be staying in the Travelodge (central I think). Is there a 24hr car park nearby, preferably a relativity secure / safe one Many thanks. Tim

Shall i send the council the bill?????!!!!!
*tim* replied to john_grant358's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Retiring at 57 I'd be happy with that, still many, many years off for me. As to a 1/3 of council tax being spent on pension, afraid not. I have the figures somewhere at work, I could dig them out, but I don't wanna be accused of wasting tax payers money... Another thing worth noting, is more money is spent on compensation claims due to vehicle damage, than is spent on actually repairing the roads. A never ending cycle, with no hope of if every stopping with decreasing budgets. -
is it? I'm sure I've read that somewhere Edit: see corrected post ^ I'd still turn if off though

Remember to switch off 'system restore' before trying to remove the trojan. Some of them will reinstall next you start windows if you don't. MacAfee should be okay. If not find the name of the trojan and search the symantec for a removal tool / help Edit: viruses will be only be 'reinstalled' if you restore to point where you previously had a virus.

Dave, I presume your using IE7 on windows XP. IE7 comes with cleartype enabled as standard, theres a setting within the browser to switch back to 'normal' fonts. HTH

Thanks Chris. Yeah, it reads that if you abuse the connection in peak periods they can cap your connection speeds, especially if your using P2P software. TBH compared to some I don't using torrents that much, and certainly nowhere near a gig a day. As an aside, a half hour beeb programme on iplayer was/is about 130Mb.

Thank you all I'll do some testing
-
Wow, thats a fair few problems. Hopefully it'll be okay from now on Welcome!

Mike. I get the impression that you work for / own a mapping company. Do you mind if I ask who, no particular reason just curious. Feel free to PM me if you think the mods may class it as advertising. Thanks. Back on topic. I've got a Dragon box and I'm thinking of swapping it for a remap, just concerned about the warranty. Out of warranty I'd choose a remap every time.
