  1. Hi@numskull- I've had the car since 31/10/19 and it was brand new. It's worked without a problem upto this last couple of weeks, and as this problem is so sporadic, I doubt it's a setting for slam locks. Isn't predictive text a pain in the a**e, it should have read "the Karoq forum"
  2. Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with KESSY locking the car when you close the door. On my 2020 SEL when I get out and close the drivers door (using either the window glass or black plastic trim) the doors lock without flashing the indicators or folding the mirrors (this doesn't happen every time, but is getting more frequent). I then can only open the car using the button on the fob as pulling the handle doesn't do anything. It done this last week when I got out the leaving the engine running while I put my nephew's wheelchair in the boot. I've read on the Karla forum and have asked there if a solution has been found but thought I'd start a thread here incase anyone has come across the problem Many thanks
  3. Did you manage to get this sorted - I'm having the same problem with my 2020 Superb (after its first service) and it would be good if I point the dealer in the right direction. Many thanks Same as above - Did you manage to get this sorted? Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
  4. Have another chat with your dealer (or another dealer) as they can replace just the switch (part no.5Q0713128A - as per my invoice). I had it replaced on my Golf a couple of weeks ago at our local VW dealer for £150, which I still thought was expensive but not as bad as the horror stories I read on other forums. I also asked the techie who serviced our Superb at our main dealer who said they do exactly the same.
  5. I did this with my Superb hatch when I needed some fencing. The boards hung out the back so I put a rolled up blanket on top of them and closed the tailgate. As it touched the blanket I pressed the button on the tailgate and it stopped it closing and kept it in that position. Took my time on the drive home. Tailgate worked fine when I got home and no problems since but to be fair it wasn't a great distance that I travelled.
  6. The display in the Maxidot changes from D7 (or whatever gear your in) to D when Eco appears at the bottom and the rev counter drops to idle. This is didn't happen on my facelift 1.4 auto Octavia or on my 1.4 Golf auto, so appears to be only on the new 1.5. To be honest I'd never noticed until reading this post and I've had the car 18 months.
  7. My facelift 1.5 SEL coasts and cylinder deactivation at the same time.
  8. Check your tyre pressures. When I got mine last year, it would wheelspin at every junction even with very slight acceleration. When I checked the tyre pressures, they were reading way too high. Adjusted pressures - problem solved.
  9. Have you changed the bulbs to LED prior to having problems? If so have a look at the following link from a while back
  10. Just wondering if anybody out there with a Superb 1.5 petrol DSG would mind sharing their thoughts and opinions on the car - good or bad. The reason for the request is that we need to replace our Motability car and the Superb is the only "family hatchback" available, so any info on reliability, running costs, comfort etc. would be a great help.
