I give it a hard acceleration on hill about 10 minutes and keep it at 3000 rpm and it start running smoothly on idle , also I fell it more powerful. Can't believe it, I think I've cleaned some injectors, and this after two months of running sluggish. Hope it helps someone

Is making noise when the engine is cold, after I read about this particular noise most of people said it might be normal but I am not convinced and wondering if I can check the oil pressure. I don't have any light on dashboard just the noise . I'll share a youtube video with a similar sound just like mine's

I noticed mine is doing regeneration around 90 miles for a month now and with that a bit rough idle not much, high fuel consumption and less power. I am thinking that something like egr is clogged up or doesn't run optimally 🙄

The car has stop start so I presume that the battery should be . I did some different measurements using a multimeter directly to battery and this are the results: 12.6v ( engine off, ignition off), 10.somethingV when starting the engine and 14.4 V with the engine on. So battery is good , alternator is good. Vcds can't be used in my opinion for exact measurements of the battery, at least not as better than a multimeter. If that's so with start stop then I am not worried anymore 👍

I will probably check with a skoda technician, it should be something there that is missed

As an update the only thing not matching through vcds Is the battery serial number witch is 1111111 but I learn that doesn't really matter. Reading the voltage with the engine off is 12.3V and on is 13.3V , all of this after one hour driving😒.I think either the battery is going bad or alternator not charging properly, but still doesn't explain why it can't see the soc value

I checked and it is the original one, tomorrow I'll test it with vcds and see if it was properly coded 🙄

octavia 2016 doesn't show state of charge, does anybody know what is the reason?

Tried to change the oil on my car and I was looking for a way to get underneath. Bought some metal ramp but I felt unsafe to use them and were to high anyway, so I went for trolley jack and axle stands. Underneath the car are a lot of plastics and the only way for stand was towards middle of it. Going back to ramps I have made some wood ones and they were great. Just to give you an idea if someone wants to try

I used the link you provided ( thank you) and it seems to have same circumference , don't know why I thought It was different. Anyway I think is ok as a spare wheel to be used on this car

I have changed the front tires with the back ones and the screws fit perfectly on spare, the only thing I have done is lifting more when fitting the spare wheel ( is much bigger). I haven't driven the car just used the spare to hold the car for replacements . From what I learn it should be same or smaller size but not bigger 😐. It is an Octavia and didn't realised I have post it wrong.

My spare wheel is r18 and all my tires are r16 😧. The spare wheel has never been used. Is this difference a problem?

Mine is manual. At least I want to cover again that area but it's hard to find that cover on market

Got this device for changing the battery through cigarette lighter socket on both ends. After 10 minutes I lost my patience and went for booster cables.

I am trying to make some sense from the vcds measurements on my recent purchased octavia 2016 2.0 tdi. If someone knows better what this numbers means please let me know, from what I understand one injector is going bad and oil ash mass a bit high. Car mileage 110000(working properly). If are other topics similar and I have miss them please link them below. Thank you
