Well What a great day it was and the bbq was good although was very tempted to have a thing that looked like a pizza roll on the table but resisted. Was good to meet a few new people and see other peoples Skoda's Anyway Bens offer of a map on my car was great and it really improved the drive home!! -

Proton are currently not owned buy anyone and yes they do own lotus. there is alot of speculation about vw buying proton but at the moment they are only in a sharing knowledge type state. i think its something along the lines of vw share there knowledge and proton let them use there malaysian factory to build vw`s (cheaper) and also get them selves into the malaysian market. Got a proton press release dealer thingy somewhere from proton uk will dig it up

Dont forget the blue piping on the leather seats

Removing Fabia Bumper Grille plus License Plate
skodaguy replied to Basil's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
the way you do it is get one salesman on his lunch break removing the bumper one mechanic helping, pull out all the plastic bottom sections then unscrew the number plate and rip the black plastic backing off it you will then find recessed plastic bit in the colour of your car cut round that ( we did it with an exhaust cutter) then fit some rubber round it we used a favourtie door seal (keeping within genuine skoda parts) plus we had one lying around lol then refit bumoer fairly easy to do and takes about an hour -
when you say fuel cut issue what exactly do you mean? is it ie your going along and all off a sudden you car goes into a sort of limp mode?
