  1. Hi there, I have some parts from my MK3 Octavia for sale, can't seem to find a way to post in the for sale section, am I missing something ? Cheers
  2. Do you have a towbar fitted? Don't see the cabling so probably not. Cheers
  3. Your towbar will fit some Audi's and Seats as well as the Octavia.
  4. Get a price for your car online, it maybe worth more than is owing on it, mine is worth £2k more than settlement figure and it's only 18months old. Cheers
  5. 6. Just read another thread about the difference in track width on Pre FL and Facelift models, I've always felt my pre FL handled better than my FL one and the thread made interesting reading, I've copied the info from the thread and will add below but I did a bit of measuring earlier and only found about 10mm of difference between front and rear axle widths with the rear being wider which corresponds with the info from the other thread, what I didn't know was the Pre FL was wider across the front axle compared to the rear similar to the Golf as far as I'm aware. Has anyone added just front wheel spacers to their facelift and how do you feel it affected the cars handling /turning ? I would like to add a small spacer to the front to make the front look similar to the rear. Cheers
  7. It's not a bad price really, if you have tow bar preparation on your car from Skoda when new the job should be a bit cheaper, if not and the fitter needs to fit the dedicated wiring through to your fusebox (£100) then the price is good, there will need to be towing related functions enabled with OBDEleven or VCDS so best to ask him if he is doing this as well. This is going on your 2.0 TDI ? What type of bar are you going for ? Detachable or fixed ? if the price is for a detachable it's pretty good. Cheers
  8. Have you got a mate or maybe someone on here that would do you a wheel swap to try and see if the noise goes away, a lot of people have a spare set of wheels, I have another set of Gemini's for mine in the shed, if you fancy a trip to Scotland . Cheers
  9. Yep found the haldexrepairs website and watched the Volkwizard video, both very helpful, cheers, was wondering really if OBDEleven works ok for the pump prime and the rest after the filter clean and oil change. Cheers
  10. Doesn't seem to be the same set up mate, but thanks anyway. Cheers
  11. Who's cleaned out their Haldex filter and changed their oil, was hoping for a guide and if OBDEleven Pro is enough to carry out the job properly.
  12. Engine running when doing this and no you can't get it to start in S mode as far as I know.
  13. Yep I found that out to my expense, nearly cried for a couple of minutes, turned the car off and on and all was ok but good to know the throttle sorts it as well.lol Cheers
  14. The top image is how I received my car back from Border Skoda in Dumfries when they eventually updated my infotainment software, seemingly I have a Bentley..lol
  15. Must be my gearbox I think DQ381, I do have the Pro version and I was changing displays in my Virtual Cockpit earlier ok so it is working aright but when I try and go through the gearbox options, Resetting all adpation values it tell me the function is not available. Cheers
  16. Using OBDEleven I just tried following the guide at the top and the options are not available and the calibration of synchro points isn't there, can you give me any tips on getting this to work, cheers
  17. Kestrel, have you tried towing with it yet ? is it a caravan your towing ? I find nose weight of the caravan is critical with my VRS 4X4, the car wallows and is light at the nose when the caravan isn't balanced out, I tend to load the caravan rather than the boot of the car with stuff and set up the nose weight of the van by strategically positioning items in the van, as close to the axle as you can, mine is a DSG and tows the caravan really well.
  18. DQ381 is the 4wd version of the DQ380
  19. Oh right, sorry thought it was the one for the spare wheel, thanks anyway, cheers
  20. Would really like to know how you got those to work, I have an MY20 and can't even get the whiskers to work with the DRL's. Cheers
  21. High there, my car has the DQ381 and yes it's slips too much between 2nd and 3rd, and can be a pain sometimes getting away at a junction or roundabout, I try and get into 3rd asap and accelerate then, as mentioned erarlier would need a DSG remap to fix this, is the DQ381 just the 4wd box ? or is the 2wd DQ380 ? Cheers
  22. Thanks to all who've taken the time to help me out, it really is much appreciated, I'm fortunate enough to have the Audi passenger and Skoda drivers seat to mess around with and trace wires. Cheers MarkC
  23. Hi there, it's the base that's the problem, the bolsters don't have much padding and it feels like I'm sitting on bars on either side, I did consider the re upholster but thought it easier just to change the seat, the Audi seat does have a lot more padding and is fine just not wired up properly.
