  1. Poor quality the same as the wheel centre caps, you might get it changed if lucky but the problem will return as the specifications for the item is poor.
  2. One's a nice pleasant car to drive the other is a tractor 😉😆 It's not just about fuel consumption! I find the petrol quiet and refined, cannot hear motor running once warm, comfort and noise level inside is excellent. Personally I hate the sound of diesel engines rattling. But as fuel consumption appears to be the focus, for mine since new: 68k miles 9214 litres Average 33.96 mpg Best 41.8 mpg😴 Worst 26.18 mpg😈 I used to use tesco super unleaded when I first bought it and it was only 5p per litre difference and that reflected in improved MPG but since that fixed difference has been removed I have used only regular and found it all good. Great car for trips, keep filling it up and get more in, this includes trips to the tip. Great in snow, with winter tyres, skiing trips to the Alps, getting up this drive to a private parking slot, and do not see need for 4*4: Also the 4*4 was something like another 4k when I bought it so happy with that saving. What would I change, perhaps have bought Dragon Green but that was not available when I bought this, the only thing I wish I had specced was the heated steering wheel. So if you can put up with a diesel then everything else appears to be much of a muchness but I would strongly recommend you drive both engines before you decide.

  4. This also caught me out when I must have turned down the volume on Waze warnings and instructions, and took quite a while to realise and reset the volume so I could hear 🤫
  5. @Steviedakotacould be anything see how many torx drivers @ApertureS found when he removed his dash
  6. I trust you got a hefty discount.
  7. Ahem - Misting🙈🙉🙊
  8. I was advised this is "misting" not leaking. I asked when does misting become bad enough to be considered a leak? Couldn't really give a response.😒
  9. Go out and play with it. Use the stick, rock it sideways and into manual then nudge forward and backwards to change also use paddles watch the indicator and see how it prompts upshifts but will also force a down shift if you are dragging the engine. Then once you are happy nudge rearwards when in normal D or Eco mode and see how that drives differently, pick up is quicker and revs are extended before shifting up. Give it a go on differing roads to ensure you are comfortable and then adapt your driving style to exploit a great feature.
  10. I have been through and read up a few threads on the early degradation and corrosion of brakes 😶 Now just coming to 50k service and MOT, although brakes appear to stop the car OK I feel they will be a fail😒 Škoda currently list rear brakes, discs and pads @ £370🤨 Independents likely to be cheaper 🤑 But did I note correctly there is a TSB for rear brakes? If so what does it say and how might it affect my decision? Cheers all.
  11. Go and wash your mouth out!
  12. Isn't that what 220ps and a DSG is for 🤪
  13. Very lucky, I once had a scratch on a hire car and no products so thought I'd try toothpaste, plain old white toothpaste and I got a good result with no comments when I dropped it off. Also brought his to mind: Vincent: What's more chicken**** than f***ing with a man's automobile? I mean, don't f*** with another man's vehicle. Lance: You don't do it. Vincent: It's just against the rules.
