  1. Yes it is. I have been busy fitting a new bathroom so not really done anything with it.
  2. It could be cheaper for you to come to the UK a buy a complete doner car and drive it home. Prices are reasonable and you would have all the parts you need and plenty of spares.
  3. No MOT ran out last month. Will need brakes looking at as been stood for a while now. But starts first flick of the key. Worth a lot more in parts so if not sold soon I will be breaking it.
  4. Sorry guys not been on for a bit as in the middle of fitting a new bathroom. Daverave I have replied to your PM. As for price I am open to near offers but I know what its worth in bits and I have the room to keep it and break it when I get time.
  5. Sorry havnt been on much. The easiest way to check if the cables are sticking is to disconnect them at both ends and see if the move freely in the guides. Shouldnt take long.
  6. I ran a Ambiente SE 130 company car and it was a fantastic car. Did 98,000 miles in 2 years without fault. Never dropped below 48mpg and I drove it hard. Would crack pull 125mph on the sat nav with some in reserve. (Autobhan) A guy I work with bought it and put another 30,000 in 18 month and couldnt stop smileing. Good ones are still holding thier money though and I would expect a really good one with lowish miles and good history( under 120,00 ) to be in the £1500-2000.
  7. Come on guys cheap runner for winter. Very good in the bad weather.
  8. Sorry only just popped back on. The guides that the cable runs through to the lever.
  9. To be honest does it really matter what they recommend IMO its worth doing every 4-5 years or 60k. For the sake of a few hundred quid you have piece of mind.
  10. Also check the alloy guide tubes for the cables as I had a simikar problem and the o/s tube had split. Not expensive but a bit of a pain to change.
  11. Well the time has come to sell the old workhorse. Been a very good car in the couple of years I have owned it and never had any issues. Bit rough around the edges some rust blobs and scuffs interior the same with scuffs on the door cards etc. This car been a workhorse/fishing bus. But practical and presentable. Really needs a battery. It has a brand new huge leisure battery fitted but the end cell has a crack and leaked but starts fine and holds charge. Metallic green with grey cloth in fair condition. Usual elegance spec and everything seems to be working. (not sure about headlamp washers) Electric windows, sunroof, dual zone climate ( nice and cold) etc. O/S rear door lock not working on remote will need looking at. No stereo and drivers connector has been chopped by previous keeper. Suspension a bit soft. O/S rear Caliper a bit sticky. Bit of a whine when cold. Never checked it out poss aux belt/pulley. Now the really good points. 124,000 miles with loads of history and bills. Cam belt kit with water pump and coolant done 23/01/14 @ 121,000 miles. Coil pack recall done 07/02/14 Very good engine and box pulls well and no smoke. 4x4 works as it should 4 good tryes Towbar Before I bought it looks like it had new discs and pads on the front as well as a new N249 valve fitted. MOT until Sept but on a SORN. Viewing and collection from Sheffield It is what it is a rough and ready workhorse sold as runner or spares. Price reduced to £500.
  12. If it was me I would pop down to the local dealers or tyre place and then just ditch them and fit standard bolts. Its not very common these days for standard fit wheels to be stolen. Or get some genuine ones from your local dealer and order a spare key. I have lock nuts on my Octavia and the only reason they are still on is the previous owner supplied 2 keys.
  13. Not sure on that but My Tyres still have them listed. And I havnt used the performance ones but the standard were very good and I do drive hard and around 1000 miles a week. I do like Goodyears and have been using them for 14 years.
  14. I would say standard Goodyear Efficientgrip will be fine. I ran them on various Skodas over the past few years and done thousands of miles (50,000 a year) with no problem at all. They are very good in all conditions.
  15. Why not become a Freedom member and put it in the for sale section.
  16. Hi sorry only just logged on today. These sold this afternoon.
  17. I doubt they will cover the remap but I would ask for them to fit the same spec towbar and swap the head unit over. But never take the first offer.
  18. Selling for a friend set of 4 18 inch Neptune alloys. All have some marks on them and a couple have some bad paint chips and light grazing in a few areas but nothing major. Not bent or cracked they were taken off when he had aftermarket wheels fitted and no longer has the car. They would make Ideal winters or for refurb. I have some pics on my phone I can email but cant get them on here at the moment as struggling with my hosting site. And my photo shop is not currently working. Files are just over 4mb each. 7.5 x 18 ET51 Collection from Sheffield only. £160 no offers.
  19. Prices dont sound bad. As for breakdown cover check out seperatley as it could be worth it. I remember getting a rear tyre blow out around 20 years ago on my CB750 and no amout of tyre gunk would have fixed it. It had picked up a 10mm bolt. I was on a country lane on my own and had to push it 2 miles to the nearest garage.
  20. I don't know if you will find many ponds for spinning on these days. Most tend to be commercial ponds that specialize in carp or weekend match fishing. ( well they do up here ) I would get him a small whip and find a pond full of silver fish rather than a carp lake. Ask at your local tackle shop as they should know the best places to take him.
