Diesel timing belt question
And I guess that's the point where you can flip a coin or say sod it. You could for example say, if you don't pay out the £400 ish for belt n pump then you may last another year or two at least. Else if the belt goes it's not much of a value loss between scrapping for parts or big spend now to get your money back later. If that makes sense. Even more so on what may be a second car demoted to irregular use. As an example, my old Peugeot I put in for belt change, they didn't complete the job and said it would of been X amount if I really wanted it doing. I decided I could probably get a replacement engine for the same price roughly and as it was a second car I'll chance it. Approx 9 years and about 80k miles later it was still going strong when I got rid of the car at 215k miles on the clock. Another of my old cars, audi s6, I decided the cost if it went was not worth the risk so had it changed on schedule. It is a chance you take but sometimes it's worth it, sometimes it's not

Superb II intermittent driver's door electrical problem
Sounds excessive My loom was about £120ish plus labour, not sure how much that was as mechanic was doing a service, rear hub and abs sensor all together.

Superb II intermittent driver's door electrical problem
Sounds like a very common door wiring loom issue. Try a search as there are plenty of threads already. Sorry, I'm on my mobile and the search options are not as good

Air Bag Light On
It would almost certainly of been from removing the stereo surround, there is a cable for a bulb in the surround for the passenger air bag light. If you disconnected this with the ignition on it throws up the air bag warning light. Simple reset will be fine

Problems with ABS sensor
Mine was the rear hubs breaking up too, 160k miles on the clock. First one side followed shortly after by the other side. Can't help with the readings on the sensor though

Columbus Navigation - Volume adjustment
I think the navigation volume is how loud the instructions are The other one that i can't remember it's name (music/audio) is how low it does or doesn't drop the radio/music when the instructions are spoken

Satnav Problem
Not possible If your problems are related to the maps thinking you're in Germany or miles away, it could just be a common antennae issue. If so, a £5 Fakra gps puck will sort it very likely

Superb multi-function display - unable to scroll through driving data
For the range, mpg etc there is a menu option to select what is viewable in there, they may be Un ticked. I think the option is in setup

Boot will only open from keybutton
Are you short double pressing the unlock button on the door? For mine one press unlocks the drivers door and double press unlocks everything else.

fixed gps but now have airbag light on
Find someone local with vcds (there is a search on here somewhere) or for not much money you could get a obdII adapter and use carista to reset the light. Do a search on here for carista for more details as others (including me ) have had the same issue

Superb 2013 drivers door locking issue
I can't say for sure in your case but my car was doing the same until replacing the driver door loom. In short, all the doors and locks report back into the drivers door controls (I think that is where the body control module is - BCM) so it can affect all the others too I could be wrong though as not an expert

Skoda superb 2015 side mirror auto fold
I presume we wouldn't want them folding back in as the doors auto lock (anti hijack locking)

Superb II GPS thinks I'm in Germany
Oops you missed the parts in previous threads where it let's you know about that. Anyway....... You can get an adaptor for only about £5 then a free app will clear the warning. I can't remember the app I used but try a search Carista will definitely do it as it goes and I think you can have a free week trial on that or something similar

Replacement bonnet/boot badges
I can't remember exactly but I replaced mine with ones from something like the yeti or something. If you do a search on here there are discussions and part numbers. I remember all I had to do was snap off 3 locating lugs from the new badges and they stuck on perfectly. Been on the car for about 3 years now and no issues Ps this is to the new badges, i much prefer them over the old green ones Pps it might be different for the facelift models (mines 2011)

Columbus sat nav problem
Great news, well done

Columbus sat nav problem
I removed mine using a flat head screwdriver. Maybe better to use a trim removal tool or hard plastic pry but if you're careful it's fine Just need to get between the surround and dash and gently force towards you, you should then be able to pull off by popping the clips one by one as you pull

Columbus sat nav problem
Hi I guess it depends on what exactly the fault is as it could possibly be the stereo itself However, the most common cause, easiest and cheapest to fix is the gps antenna. For around £5 you can get a new antenna that can be fitted yourself quite simply. Most have then mounted on top of the dash. For example, I run my cable under the glovebox, up the door pillar and into the corner of the dash and window, it's very discreet. Example device https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Replacement-GPS-antenna-for-FAKRA-Skoda-Amundsen-Ku-Ku/282685470104?hash=item41d15df598%3Ag%3AxKcAAOSwfoNaYK8q&LH_BIN=1 Remove stereo surround Do not disconnect the airbag light cable (unless ignition is off while it's disconnected the whole time) Remove 4 mounting screws Pull stereo forward Unplug single fakra cable Plug in new antenna Turn on stereo and check your satellite reception (make sure airbag cable is plugged in first) Hope that helps
