  1. You should first update the car to 1896. From that version, you can update to 1941.
  2. That was not mentioned, so I cannot tell. But as it should be similar to seat/vw, probably a bit more responsive.
  3. From factory, Skoda started to deliver the Octavia with the newer 1969 software. Someone from the dutch forum posted a photo of his Octavia screen with software 1969.
  4. There is an option to switch, but it is not convenient. When one of the two phones is connected, press the menu button and select phone. Then press settings and something similar to "connected phones". In this menu, you see the connected phone via AA or CarPlay. Press one time the connected phone and it will disconnect AA or CarPlay. After that, press menu again, go to Smartlink and select the device you wish to connect. Like I said, not very convenient, but as far as I know the only option without disabling wifi/bluetooth on the connected phone.
  5. The 12v is probably the easiest solution. Retrofitting (original) should also be possible. There are shops that provides the complete cable set for these kind of things, for example: Stoelverwarmingsharnas voor Skoda Fabia NJ, Rapid NH, Scala NW1, Kamiq NW4 (kufatec.com). Besides the cable set, you also need a different climate control panel, original heated seat matts and the control module for the heated seats.
  6. Regarding the button for your parking sensors, Skoda only fits this button if you have front and rear sensors. If you only have the rear sensors, you will not have a button fitted. This is how it is done for all skoda models.
  7. Mine is from december 2019 and the upper part of the seat was replaced by my dealer (NL). It also reclined over time. After replacement, the issue was completely solved.
  8. There is no data link for the rear USB's, it is only for charging. There are solutions to connect it to the 12v charger. This is plug and play. See for example this for the Octavia/Kodiaq. The cable should be generic. Auto Interieur Rear Dubbele Usb Adapter Charger Socket Armerst Usb Kabelboom Voor Tiguan 2 MK2 Teramont Octavia Superb Kodiaq|Cables, Adapters & Sockets| - AliExpress
  9. Interesting topic! I have a Scala (Bolero + virtual cockpit), but I'm not seeing directions either. Is this enabled in some software version? Or is it possible to code this with VCDS or something?
  10. This is a common issue. I used obdeleven to soft reset the central electronics module (09) and the infotainment (5F). After that, it was available again. Maybe you can try, if you don't have VCDS or obdeleven, to unplug the cable from the battery and connect it after a few minutes.
  11. And someone with ODIS who can delete component protection of the new unit.
  12. I don't know where it is situated. Normally it is situated at the bottom at the front of the car (left or right). I should be pretty easy to modify. The old horn had a high tone horn and a low tone horn, the new one only has the high tone horn. Therefore, you only need the low tone horn, an extra holder and material to connect the horn to the existing wire.
  13. OLD (Sport & non-sport): NEW (Sport & non-sport)
  14. For Kamiq and Scala, one of the changes for MY21 was the downgrade of the two tone horn to a single horn. It was installed with a two tone horn before, so it should be pretty easy to install the horn from an older Kamiq/Scala. The MY21 models can be identified by their new steering wheels.
  15. Maybe it helps, maybe not, but In the first couple of weeks I got my Scala (with Bolero), I was checking the software version and update possibilities. My dealer said it should be OTA, but I couldn't find it. I found the option to delete all software updates, which I did in the hope to initiate something. No impact, I thought initially. But then I went to the radio screen and all logos were gone. I tried to upload them via USB, but to no reveal. They seemed gone. After a few weeks I made another shortcut (favorite) on the dashboard of a certain station and a logo appeared on the dash. I then tried to re-save all other programmed stations and for these the logos also came back! What did I do? Nothing. I just re-saved my already saved station on the dashboard, just by holding the (emtpy) stations logo.
  16. That would be awesome! I am really looking forward to this. Did you get this information from your local dealer?
  17. If you connect your phone via usb to the car, in Carplay or Mirrorlink the Skoda Connect app should pop-up. However, this won't work with MIB3 systems. As the cars stated above all come with MIB3, this won't work.
  18. I reached out to Skoda Customer Care (CZ). They gave me the following reply: In another reply, they told me it is related to the MIB3 which is fitted in the Scala, Kamiq, Octavia IV and Superb iV. They did not tell (yet) if it will be available in the future with a software update.
  19. Unfortunately, the Skoda Connect app for iphone is net yet updated, the version for Android is.
  20. That's not possible with the Bolero, that is only possible with the Amundsen. Updates can be downloaded from the update portal (if Skoda makes them available, currently not), or you have to go to your dealer. If you've have found a third option, let us know.
  21. Wireless Smartlink+ is an option is some countries. In the Netherlands, it is not an option (unfortunately). You can check if you have a menu setting for WLAN in the setup menu. It should be above or below the Bluetooth menu setting.
  22. In the Netherlands, 12V socket was standard for the Sport Business trim (similar to SE, with sporty accents) and upwards. From December 1st, this option has been removed totally. It is not standard and is also not an option anymore.. I ordered mine in November when it was still standard. It got delivered December 23 without the 12V socket, because it was build in December. That was a pity.
  23. Actually, the systems are exactly the same, but I think it is not activated. I have seen a video of a Scala with a Bolero system and WLAN enabled, so it should be possible. Also in the official documentation of the certification, it says the bluetooth and WiFi hardware is there. In my Scala a Bolero with part no. 654 035 869B is fitted. The Swing version with bluetooth and WiFi is part no 654 035 869A, see link: https://fccid.io/WUQ-MIB3HBTWIFI/External-Photos/External-Photos-3-4182511 The Swing version without WiFi has a part number ending with 867, see link: https://fccid.io/WUQ-MIB3HBT/External-Photos/External-Photos-4180533
  24. I have picked up a Scala with the Bolero unit without wireless smartlink (not an option in the NLs). I am curious if it can be enabled afterwards. Do you have VCDS or other software to create an autoscan of module 5F and the longcoding string? In that way I can compare the differences in settings. Do you also have a WLAN option available in settings? Do you have the Bolero or the Amundsen? And do you have the WLAN option in settings?
  25. Hello everyone, Just saying a quick hello. We bought a Skoda Fabia MK3 Drive this June. Really like the car and hope to read a lot about it on the forum. Before, we drove a Renault Megane and before that a second generation Octavia and a first generation Octavia. Happy to be back at Skoda
