Mine does this too. 3 months old. But mine is a Diesel, Automatic, Estate. Keep meaning to check the oil level.

I would have loved to have the GTD Estate. I still think VW are better quality than the Skoda. But VW put up their finance rate and Skoda had 0%. I was going to buy the Skoda on the 152 plate but at the time their interest rate was 3.9% I think. So I went for the VW @ 0%. And €5k extra for the Petrol upfront with only €500 return at the end swung it for me.

I was having similar thoughts as you regarding changing to Petrol. Had a Diesel Golf Estate 152 reg on 0%. Thought it was a bit underpowered so was looking to get a Golf GTD Estate. Unfortunately Ireland do not sell the GTD Estate. So started looking around. Had a test drive of 2 Golf GTE (hybrid) but they were in the €50k region before any grants. Boot was tiny and the battery charge literally lasted a few minutes, not even double figure minutes. So hybrid was out for me. Then looked at Skoda Estate. Diesel 184 and Petrol 230. Back of my mind I knew Diesel was now going to be shunned by governments so decided to go for the Petrol 230. "Sorry", I was told. They are no longer supplying the 230, you have to go for the newer 245. Think this was roughly €5k mor than the Diesel. GMFV after 3 years was only going to be €500 different between the Petrol and Diesel. So I went for the Diesel Estate 0%. No car tax increase or fuel increase for the next 2 years I think. Total was €41k which included Challenge Pack, Black Pack(VRS button, black 18" alloys, black grill and roof bars, 3 keys), DSG(hill hold), sunset glass, heated windscreen and front seats, front parking sensors. Cruise control is standard, but not adaptive cruise control. Flat bottomed steering wheel is standard. Folding mirrors are standard, but not dipping in reverse.

I'll let you be the guinea pig for Plasti-dip. See how you get on before I attempt to do mine.

Thinks it's the model badges (ŠKODA/OCTAVIA) rather than the bonnet and boot badges as these don't have any location pins on them for fitting reference.

Yes you can change the sound with the OBDeleven. Think it was 10 credits if you want to do it the easy way. Or just press your vRS Mode button. Select individual then at the top of the screen press change. Set everything to sport if you want but choose ECO for your sound option.

Mine comes back up ok if you turn it from L to 0. Haven't checked to see if it will do it by itself when you start driving forward yet. Looking for the throttle coding change next if I can find it anywhere. Can confirm it moves back to its normal position when driving forward.

Just got an OBDeleven today. I'm afraid I cheated and used the app which has the coding already done for you. However I did manage to change the indicator from 3 flashes to 5 by myself. Don't ask me how, I haven't got a clue!!!! With the app I did the N/S mirror dip on reverse. This probably moved the mirror about 15mm in the dip position. So I don't think it's going to be of much use to man nor beast. Also knocked the headlight washers off and fuel amount to refill on dashboard.

I used it last night for 30 minutes going to work. Used phones hotspot. Took several goes before it connected. Don't think it used up much data. But still don't know how to use it with the SIM card in the Columbus unit.

I have a Columbus unit and bought a SIM card. Still haven't got a clue what it is supposed to do.
