  1. I have the car shades ones. Back window is 2 piece but has to be to get it in so its snug. Never had any issues and it's not noticeable once installed.
  2. Is it me or is that dpf in insanely good condition (31.4g Oil Ash Residue) for 98000 miles?
  3. I had exactly the same issue with Halfords\Tyres on the Drive (who fit their batteries). Had all sorts of errors including headlight. Turned out they blew the ODB2 port fuse which is on the same one as the headlight switch. They told me to go to the nearest Halfords Autocentre to resolve who spent over an hour trying. In the end I had to work it out myself. Havent got round to getting it coded but been in there over a year with no issues....
  4. So, I have a very similar issue on my 2014 vrs estate - non sunroof. Passenger side footwell soaking. Checked the washer fluid hose, coolant and pollen filter (dry but wrong way round thanks Skoda!). All fine. Its defo fresh water and discovered its getting over the seal that attaches to the car body. Ordered one from TPS today. Basically, I'm pretty sure it's one of the seals that's degraded over time so I'll just start with this one first.....
  5. There is definately an issue here. I have the same car (mk3 estate 2014 diesel dsg) and in my ownership have done 27000 miles and the brakes haven't been touched apart from a fluid change. Definitely sounds like it could be a caliper issue.
  6. I think anything near to 50mpg is fantastic. The most I've seen is 52mpg on a long journey (2014 Diesel VRS DSG now on 80k)
  7. Nothing else 'piggybacking' off of that fuse? Dashcam?
  8. Had mine for getting on 5 years now and never had a damaged tyre....just one that was irreparable from a nail. Used a combo of Michelin and Goodyear in that time.
  9. Micro, I had a similar noise (although not whilst pushing on the covers). Turned out to be the air con pulley which requires a new air con compressor.
  10. Are you aware of how the seatbelt frays? Basically it cuts into the plastic when you pull it out. Did they replace this too? If not, it'll be the same again in a few months.
  11. Whatever get lost gets replaced but I was told its not a complete renewal
  12. I'm pretty sure they don't drain the coolant to do the waterpump. Dealer was much cheaper (by about £200) for me to to the cambelt and waterpump, dsg fluid, service and mot than a local VAG specialist quoted.
  13. Defo. Prices have always been fine for me. Got a quote from a local VAG specialist for the cambelt\DSG oil change\service\MOT which worked out £200 more than the main dealer!
  14. This would be in older models with R134A gas. R1234YF gas from 1st Jan 2017 is 2-3 times more expensive.
  15. It might be worth giving them the TPI number of 2042935/3 before hand. My dealer had to order the 'special' grease in so I had to take the car back. Might save you a 2nd trip....
  16. Probably front wishbone bushes need greasing. Have a search, its a very common issue - cured mine.
  17. Yep, defo genuine! Dad has a 2017 Octavia since new and his is the same.
  18. I've just had a new 'M' revision tank fitted by a main dealer and it was without the silicon bag.....in fact, it doesn't even have G12 or G13 on it!
  19. Just had my tank replaced (2014 diesel vrs) as a precaution. Couldn't be bothered to do it myself so got the dealer to do it whilst it was in for service, cost me £70. Its the 'M' revision and doesn't even have to G12 or G13 stamped on it anymore!
  20. Mine was a rattle from the same area and was the air con compressor. 2014 diesel vrs.
  21. Completely agree, if I wasn't getting the 'we'll include everything' for £289 6 year service I would definitely do it myself.... It was just for sgt1297 really who was told 4 years.... I agree they make it up half the time. I do find they get frustrated when you ask what you get for your money! They just expect you to pay what they say without questioning.....which I guess 90% of people do!
  22. There is a pdf on this page which is useful. Pollen filter is every 2 years. https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintenance-fixed-price
  23. My local, Marshall Northampton, is still offering the old scheme. So a 6 year service for £289 includes pollen, air and diesel fuel filter.....well happy with that!
  24. Were they 7 speed dry boxes in 2014? My 2014 diesel vrs is 6.....
