Facelifted Karoq - Prices and specs revealed
How do we know what the colours actually look like if ordering early? My Karoq was to be Candy White but when I saw a Business Grey Karoq after a month or two I was able to change colour. I had dismissed the Business Grey but thought differently when I saw it in the flesh. I do like the look of the Orange Karoq but I haven't seen any of that colour in a Fabia locally. I live quite a way from a Dealership.

Facelifted Karoq - Prices and specs revealed
I noticed this too Chris. I think more manufacturers will be going down the "package" route. Shame tbh. To get the heated windscreen on a SE-L you have to have rear seat heating, adding to cost. Don't like my very occasional rear passengers getting too comfortable.... But pleased the heated steering wheel is standard on the SE L. One of those that you don't realise how good it is until you have it. An extra little bit of luxury in the Winter.

Facelifted Karoq - Prices and specs revealed
I paid £26,170 OTR ordered 19/1/18, delivered 26/4/18. Price included extras (now standard) free cost upgrade for a metallic colour, 3 years servicing and 5 yr warranty. So £27,785 OTR (plus real spare wheel) like-for-like + metallic colour + DSG not so shabby, especially if I can get warranty thrown in and maybe servicing. The thing that may swing it is the current high trade in prices.....in Phoenix Orange! I love Business Grey, silver in some lighting conditions, bluey grey in others. But as its not available now, its time for a little colour! Grey and monochrome has been done to death imo. I would hate a Tesla dashboard. Its a car not a video game. Im sticking with the Karoq as it has buttons and dials, and the best car I have ever owned. Again, imo.

Thanks for the info Chris. The SE L now contains as standard all the extras I added to my Karoq in 2018.

Ah ok. From my own experience this is exactly what you will be getting! Even including BMW 330d,s my Karoq is just about the best car I have ever owned and fits all my criteria.

Welcome to the forum! But the above reads like you are lowering yourself into the realms of Skoda Karoq ownership? 🤔

Karoq facelift unveiled November 2021
No more business grey? 😔 Love this colour. Looks bright silver in sunshine, darker bluey grey in poor light. May have to get in quick and order the existing model again, as i am so happy with it.

Karoq facelift unveiled November 2021
Don't like packages. I like specifying exactly what I want - Skoda is one of the few manufacturer to offer this. I hope they don't go down the "me too" route. If I want a folding heated door mirror I really don't want an electric seat "thrown in" Couldn't agree more re wheels. Comfort over prettiness every time.

Replacing our Karoq
Glad you posted. As other forum members have observed there will be many would-be buyers sitting on the fence, undecided and looking for unbiased information. Mine is a similar story to the OP, my Karoq is 3.25 years old, 22k miles, and only ever having one minor fault which will be fixed when I have more time. Namely - Please check right dipped beam headlight - Error: headlight range control (Lights work fine - warning appears on Auto setting only) I have the extra 2 years manufacturers warranty which was negotiated in FOC at the time of purchase. I intend to change the Karoq at the 5 year mark, probably for electric. The Enyaq looks a good choice but is just a little too long and wide. My ideal choice would be Karoq sized car or a tiny bit smaller.

Hi from a potential new owner
Nice colour and spec. I have the same.

keyfob battery failing with *no* warning
I know its a bit confusing isn't it!! I take the "pulse capacity" to be the fob sending a signal from the fob to the car on a regular basis. Quite different on a battery powering a clock for example, where the power is given to the clock mechanism as a steady flow. You are quite correct - I had to dig a little to find the differences in battery capacity in mAh. My interpretation is that the lower capacity is needed. But no clue why!

keyfob battery failing with *no* warning
I had a similar problem, replaced batterie s 11 months ago with Renata 2025, a brand I considered to be good. But like others with no warning as I was locked out of the car. I emailed Renata and got what I thought was a good reply... Regarding your finding: On testing, the voltage was down sufficiently to stop the keyless entry from working. So the battery lasted just 11 months. Regarding your comment: 2025 (180mAh) would appear to be greater than that of the Panasonic 2025 (165mAh) The capacity alone does not say anything about the pulse capability of a battery. The explanation is quite simple. We have different batteries for different applications for CR batteries as well as for silver batteries. For a car key as a good example, consider that the different temperatures (summer and winter) have a strong influence on the pulse capability. Therefore datasheets are always using room temperature as base. (Independent of the manufacturer) Using a battery that is not designed for higher pulses may mean that not all the capacity in the battery can be used. For pulse application like your car key we recommend to use our CR20XXMFR (165mAh) For application without pulse demand we (like a real time clock) we recommend to use our CR20XX.MFR (180mAh) Attached I send you the two related datasheets. I hope I have been able to give you an understandable explanation with these details. Best regards from Switzerland I won't bore you with the data sheets. I replaced the batteries with Energizer which are 165mAh as above. Less is more, it seems!!

Heavy condensation on inside of windows
It was a new 2017 model. South Korea build. Like the OP maybe I was unlucky. But I simply never gelled with the car. An expensive mistake. I quickly learnt what "extras" I didn't need and can easily do without. My first sunroof for 25 years. Surely they have got them right after this long? Nope. My model Karoq was an early 18 plate. No issues at all.

Heavy condensation on inside of windows
Shudders. Couldn't wait to ditch my top of the range Sportage. Creaking from the sunroof that dealers couldn't fix. Auto box change down problem that the dealers couldn't replicate. No fault found. Until I drove out the dealers.... A diesel "tractor" engine. Wooley steering. Nope all bad memories. My first and last Kia.

July 2019 Karoq 1.5 SEL DSG - DSG very occasional whirring/whine in 1st
The only whiny noise I get is when my wife sits in the passenger seat..... 🤭

moving off from stop dsg box
Great! I have the auto hold permanently switched off. Could never get on with it.

Do I or don't I?
Similar for me. Still driving my 2018 Karoq 1.5 DSG SEL. Absolutely no issues whatsoever, same as above. Probably the best car I have owned. A keeper.
