Yeti to Karoq - Educate Me!
I think its the garage issue that would be insurmountable Ken. I don't know anything about them, but would the Kamiq be a little narrower and a better fit for the OP?

paddle shift
I agree. I use the paddles occasionally on a steep hill, when the the Karoq insists on using engine braking even though the engine is screaming! I change up manually and use the brakes.

And you will find you won't have to wash your new car as often as your previous Karoq! Im ashamed to say I have only washed mine twice since May 😗 but the Phoenix Orange never really looks dirty!!

Thinking of buying a new Karoq 1.5 TSi DSG thoughts please
No, no recall action. No problems at all, from day 1. Thats one reason I bought the same model car for a second time. I would advise the OP to get one - the new one is slightly better than the previous model, and uses a little less fuel. I imagine some forum posts are made by owners reporting a problem, asking advice then they disappear. So most owners that don't join Briskoda have no problems.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_PowerShift_transmission I did read once that the Aussies refer to this transmission as above, but without the "f"

Longer term Reliability
Once again I agree with root toot! I changed my 2018 1.5 SEL DSG for a 22 plate, equivalent model. If the trade in value had been "normal" I would of kept mine, as I was so pleased with it. Due to the "chip" shortage, trade-in values rose to a lifetime high, so to me it was a no-brainer to get the updated version of the best car I have owned. I bought the 5 year warranty for peace of mind as it has the DSG gearbox (admittedly much more reliable these days).

As Roottoot says. No choice available. My 2nd Karoq 1.5 TSI DSG now, and faultless so far after a total of 4+ years use.

Karoq Space Saver
Im probably jinxing myself now, but I cannot ever recall having to change a wheel at the roadside. Quite a few slow punctures or flats at home or work, where I have taken the wheel to be repaired/replaced. Perhaps I have been very lucky? I don't know the statistics for punctures and tyre failures, but in 45+ years driving I have covered many miles. 300-400,000? So is it a "peace of mind" thing? Perhaps others have had a terrible experience, and this made them seek out a decent replacement wheel for future blowouts.

Karoq Space Saver
Good tip, thanks! I ordered the space saver spare by accident - I had intended to order the full size as with my previous Karoq. 🙄 However as the boot floor is lower, I do find it gives me more useful space all of the time, against never having had a puncture (lucky I guess) for 4 years and having less space in the boot.

Replace key battery message
I am re-posting an old post of mine, which I think is interesting and could really help!! I had a similar problem, replaced batterie s 11 months ago with Renata 2025, a brand I considered to be good. But like others with no warning as I was locked out of the car. I emailed Renata and got what I thought was a good reply... Regarding your finding: On testing, the voltage was down sufficiently to stop the keyless entry from working. So the battery lasted just 11 months. Regarding your comment: 2025 (180mAh) would appear to be greater than that of the Panasonic 2025 (165mAh) The capacity alone does not say anything about the pulse capability of a battery. The explanation is quite simple. We have different batteries for different applications for CR batteries as well as for silver batteries. For a car key as a good example, consider that the different temperatures (summer and winter) have a strong influence on the pulse capability. Therefore datasheets are always using room temperature as base. (Independent of the manufacturer) Using a battery that is not designed for higher pulses may mean that not all the capacity in the battery can be used. For pulse application like your car key we recommend to use our CR20XXMFR (165mAh) For application without pulse demand we (like a real time clock) we recommend to use our CR20XX.MFR (180mAh) Attached I send you the two related datasheets. I hope I have been able to give you an understandable explanation with these details. Best regards from Switzerland I won't bore you with the data sheets. I replaced the batteries with Energizer which are 165mAh as above. Less is more, it seems!!

Pointless automotive trends part 232
Ouch! But glad you sourced a replacement. Are these 19inch wheels? They always look great, but I prefer the standard 18inch wheels for this reason - I feel more confident if the tyre sidewall stands proud of the rim as much as possible, as a "buffer". I have a few too many minor kerbing incidents over the years. My tyres are approx 13mm wider than the rim and a little more nearer the road. I do agree - what benefit is the diamond cut if it cannot be seen, a contrast in colour is needed.

Karoq windscreen washer cap question
😂 no, I have barely used the washers, I thought it was time to peer under the bonnet for the first time and noticed something different! Mine seems to stay floppy and doesn't become tight when pushed in firmly. I just re-read the above and now im not sure im on the correct web-site 🤣🤣😂

Karoq windscreen washer cap question
The windscreen washer cap/funnel is very different from that of my previous 2018 model Karoq. It is soft rubber and when open im presuming it acts as a funnel to help with splashes. It is attached to the filter, but then its a very loose fit in the neck of the washer bottle. Is this how it is designed? Thanks Barry

Android Auto for phone screens will stop working soon.
I just realised how old I am getting - I have little idea what the above 6 posts refer to - but I don't think it concerns me so thats ok! 😂

Build Times for new Karoq
Me too. I needed the "higher riding" SUV type vehicle as I was having more difficulty getting into and out of a saloon type car. I hope you are ready for the difference in power output though!!

Build Times for new Karoq
Ah I see! Well I hope you enjoy the car as much as I do. I have never bought the same model of car twice. The Karoq does everything I want it to do

Turn ignition
Congrats on your purchase! I have just found the fader etc. As your hand nears the screen , there is a little bar at the top of the screen. Swipe this down, and a menu will appear. On this menu there are fader settings along with other useful stuff. And for the auto, press the button without your foot on the brake.

Karoq facelift unveiled November 2021
Yes I noticed 2 of the hooks were missing! Bit mean. But to be fair I don't think I used the extra hooks very often. I find the seats slightly softer - the originals were a little too firm in the SE L. Sat nav upgrades itself - much better than messing about uploading to the card. The copper conductive heated windscreen is an improvement on the filament type. Vision improvement. Untested so far of course, I think it works OK as waiting at traffic lights I switched it on by mistake and the engine instantly started up.
