  1. Perhaps the OP simply meant the search did not reveal a ticket holder suitable for a Karoq, as in an original part? I tried, and could not find one. Correct me if im wrong though....
  2. Welcome to Karoq ownership! Hope you will be happy with your new Skoda. Im on my 2nd Skoda, and I have never bought the same car twice in all my years of car ownership.

Im presuming your Karoq has the DSG gearbox? If so, its almost normal - somewhat of an all or nothing start off. I adopt a gentle right foot approach, but can still be caught out in the wet as you say. My 2018 Karoq DSG was same.
  4. I can only agree with your choice of colour gentlemen. 😁
  5. You did right by not giving them your business. The wheel arch trims were standard SE L spec at the time of purchase last year I think. They were not part of any spec combination as far as I know.
  6. That's cheeky!!!
  7. I do agree.... In Wales the built in sat nav tried to take me off a good fast "A" road to go on a "B" road which rejoined several hundred yards further on. It did get me to take the narrowest track I have been on, over a bridge with an inch or two clearance on each side. There were no opportunities to turn around. I was only using the nav out of desperation, Google Maps had no signal unfortunately.
  8. This worked, thanks! Hopefully thats the last I see of the "Update available" message. Until next update.
  9. We are not yet ready to change our 2015 Fabia, but I always keep a look out for possible replacements. The Fabia is now just a little too low to easily get into and out of. I did look at the Kamiq - very nice! But still a bit low. Probably the VW T-Cross is my fave at the moment, chunky and it gets over the riding height problem. I do love the Karoq, personally. My second Karoq, and I have never bought the same car twice. I do hope you enjoy your ownership.
  10. So we have to install an update not related to our cars, just to stop the message appearing? Yes a waste of time, by the sound of it..... Too much to ask, a "targeted" update.
  11. @kodiaqsportline Mine would seem to be in your category 2... I don't have access to my Karoq for about a week but I will definitely give this a go - many thanks!! This will help @Keithjock and others hopefully.
  12. Hi Chris Yes that is a possibility, but it is happening every time I drive the car. Possibly a difference with mine being an Amundsen system? No message to lock the car, as yet. I too did not join Skoda Connect. Barry
  13. Hi I keep getting this message after an "update" weeks ago. I press OK or Later when the car is at rest - nothing. Message disappears. Anyone else has this? Thanks h
  14. 😳 Glovebox pen now inserted in glovebox pen clip. Amazing. Thanks.

Similar with me not clear at all. Cant see much difference - but there is a now a choice of 3 "clocks" when the infotainment system is off. Strange thing, every few days a message comes on to show updating in progress ( when the car is briefly stationary ) and this shows an update is about a third completed. I get to my destination, no sign of updating. Im presuming it will sort itself out.
  16. Good choice of colour!! The heated screen is useful, and no filaments showing.
  17. No replies to this question sadly. Just a minor annoyance. Is it a legal disclaimer to keep the lawyers at bay?
  18. Let us know how you get on!
  19. I agree, a new screen seems a little drastic. As the OP, the pics above relate to my Karoq windscreen. The repair was sound, I struggle to see where the damage was! I did it through my insurer - they use AutoWindscreens. In my case, the chip did not measure 3mm. Would your insurer use a different company? The repair was so fast (20 mins) im thinking it may not be too costly to get it done yourself, or at least get quotes. A friends car survived ages with a chip on his windscreen. But he hit a pot hole, and the cracked the screen from top to bottom.

Im in Harlech at the moment. The car isn't dirty as we haven't seen rain for weeks. But it is extremely dusty, not that it shows at this distance!

The Phoenix Orange was an unknown quantity regarding washing. I was pleasantly surprised. Today it needs a wash but it is way too hot. It still manages to look nice and shiny even when its very dusty. The Business Grey was good too, but sadly gone as a choice.
  22. +1 In the last 12 months no passenger has used the heated rear seats in my Karoq. Complete waste of money and resources.
  23. 😂 Reading the above I thought I had clicked on to the wrong website!!! Its been countless years since I exercised inside the car! I put my back out adding loft insulation so my mind boggles at the very thought of "car exercise" 😆 I am not a runner and I have no dog for dog breath or dogging, but I have a kettle so will try that thanks J.R. This thread has not ended as I expected.......😳
  24. Ok, reporting back. The repair is done, with an after and before pic. The 10mm crack can just about be seen, as its no more than 3mm now - took a while to find the damage after the guy had done it - a good sign! He was from Alaska - never chatted to an Alaskan before, and probably never will again! Anyway all looks good to me. He said there was a little dirt had got in to the chip, which he couldn't remove. Strange thing, he had never come across this type of heated windscreen before. I found myself explaining it was a copper conductive heated screen with no filament/wires. So he couldn't advise me if it would affect the heating element or not. Little chance of needing the heated screen till the Autumn and I cant think of a way of testing it.
  25. Good idea, thanks. It helps having the warmer weather now.
