  1. I know a lecturer that uses Capital stations as an example of how to ruin sound by the application of excessive compression 8-)
  2. If it was me I’d give them a call and demand that they supply you with a boster. My Sky Q was highly unstable until they installed one.
  3. Rusty did Sky supply you with a Sky Q boster? If so, where did they put it in relation to the Sky Q main box and the mini?
  4. There’s a bit of secret squirrel performed by the Sky Q boxes that you mighten be aware of. Mini boxes talk via a 'hidden' Sky SSID coming from the main Q box.
  5. Unfortunately the Sky installers have minimal network knowledge in most cases. In the end I borrowed a WiFi signal strength meter from work and repostioned the Sky boster box, so that it gave a decent signal in most rooms. They location that they had installed it in gave poor results.
  6. Both are at Q071.000.29.00L
  7. Ouch that’s a long time to wait for a car!
  8. All I can say is it doesn’t happen to mine. Sounds a bit like excuse 42 being read. 8-)
  9. Picked up my Bear from them two weeks back and they’ve have been very competitive on price plus service. Rebecca was great at keeping me informed on progress of the order, plus the car was excellently prepared, the only thing they’d forgotten was the mats, which they had ready the next day for collection.
  10. The other issue Sky found was strength of the Sky WiFi signal. Sky had to add a Sky Q boster box to get the signal strength consistent.
  11. I had similar issues when I installed Sky Q last year. In the end it turned out that my existing WiFi and the Sky Q WiFi where both trying to use similar WiFi channels, which caused interference. I’m assuming that you have your own WiFi network, connecting to another broadband supplier than Sky from what I’ve seen in the thread above (?) So I’d look in your router and Sky Q setup menus and make sure the channels are different for both 2.4ghz & 5ghz. Sky typically wants to use channel 36 on 2.4ghz, with 80ghz bandwidth. If that’s enabled I’d leave it alone and just change your WiFi routers 2.4ghz channel.
  12. All that happens is the dealer removes a signal amplifier if it was fitted, but it’s probably not been installed in your car build.
  13. We have a Samsung connected to a Sky Q mini and had no problems with the connection between the TV and Sky Q. The network that connects the Sky Q boxes can have issues though.
  14. Looking at my experience and others it’s typically 10-12 days in Emden, awaiting a ship, then another 10-12 days in the UK dock before it gets to the dealer.
  15. That’s impressive! They don’t usually get built that quick. I ordered mine on 2nd Feb and it arrived at the dealers yesterday.
  16. Got there in the end! Dealer had words and the car miraculously appeared announced by Skoda at dealers late this afternoon. Due to Bank Holiday and back log or cars having the phone box mod, I won’t be able to collect till next Thursday 10th. Thats fourteen weeks from order.
  17. Thanks, the dealer is as in the in dark as I am currently. Apparently Skoda has contracted delivery out to a third party and Skoda don’t know their schedule till they are on the way to be delivered to the dealer.
  18. How long have car deliveries been stuck in Sheerness on average? Mine has been there for ten days now and SCS still seem to have no idea of when it might be delivered to the dealer. Have to say that the competition seem to be much better at quick delivery from production to dealer.
  19. Depends on whether your streaming lots of music Amazon, Spotify etc. What I did was get a monthly 2GB plan with the unlimited music streaming option as an add on. At least that way I know what I’m paying each month.
  20. They do sim only plans on pay as you go to. There’s a lot of options. Since I tend to stream a lot of music I went for a monthly plan.
  21. Might be worth looking at some of the Vodafone sim only data plans, that include unlimited streaming. Also be careful not to do over the air map updates at 23gb a go, they can eat data allowances fast, best to download them on to your PC via home broadband and stick them on a USB stick and update the car that way.
  22. There is a £1000 discount voucher if you take a test drive that replaces the fuel offer.
  23. Me to, never knew you could tax more than a year.
  24. Rather unimpressed with Skoda’s delivery times. Car was built on 4th April still sitting in Sheerness for a delivery to Aldershot.
  25. Reading this lot of threads you’d think the dealers didn’t have any targets to meet.
